  • Lamudi’s Dial4Home makes its debut

A FIRM,   lamudi.com.ng   has unveiled its new product for finding a house for rent.

It is called “Dial4Home”. It is a platform that connects a prospective house seeker to an estate agent with the specified type of house wanted.

To use the platform, its Managing Director, Obi Ejimofo, said a client would dial (07000 526834) to speak with a company staff member.

After the enquiries, a text message containing the names and telephone numbers of estate agents who have the required specification of the client is immediately sent to the prospective client.

He said finding properties for rent or sale through lamudi.com.ng, is relatively cheaper than going through the conventional means because charges are not imposed on clients, and no registration fees is required.

“Once we connect the two parties online, we do not interfere again as we leave both parties to conclude their transaction. We do not take commission from either of the parties and we do not regulate the transaction beyond connecting clients to agents,” Ejimofo said.

According to him, Lamudi.com.ng is the largest online property market in Nigeria with over 40, 000 housing listings; hence, using the platform, Ejimofo said, guarantees effective reach of the target audience. He said  services for the Dial4Home cuts across the entire country and is supported by over 7, 000 agents registered on the platform.

Ejimofo said the company’s integrity is tested and reassured in the calibre of firms that have partnered and supported the initiative.

Ejimofo said to prevent any fraudulent intention, the firm will not engage in any financial transaction online. He also advised propspective clients to endeavour to see and verify properties that are being offered to them by agents before making any financial commitment.

  • Job portal makes its debut

Online enterprise solution, PushCV, has announced its plans to connect prime employees to head-hunters and employers via a new initiative, Elite Employee Quest 2015.

In partnership with top companies across Nigeria, the Elite Employee Quest 2015 initiative according to  PushCV, will give everyone equal opportunity to be part of the qualified, deserving people that PushCV would place in gainful employment positions in these top organisations in 2015.

The programme was formally announced on the 12th of February, 2015 at a Cocktail Event hosted at Melarossa, Ikoyi. The  event had in attendance top CEOs and HR professionals across Nigeria.

The programme will be seeking talents across five major employment categories: Accounting, Engineering/IT, Administration, Sales/Marketing, and Customer Service.

PushCV and their partners believe that this initiative can bridge the gap between qualified candidates and employers.

“Job seekers, even qualified ones, find it quite difficult to find the right jobs because of the overwhelming competition and lack of knowledge of how/where to send their CVs; and the employers say they have jobs available, but most of the applications they receive are not up to standard. It takes up a lot of time and money going through the piles of applications looking for qualified candidates,” said PushCV in the release announcing the programme.

This has led to the dictatorship of the clergies and the carving out of religious empires where they reign supreme. This situation cannot be allowed to go on,” he added.

The comedian also used his skit to address other burning issues.”What I do is a reality comedy, talking frankly about our social realities as a people,” Saduwa said, “especially as it relates to religion and politics where hypocrisy and deceit has become the order of the day.  These social ills will continue to increase unless they are challenged.”
