  • ICYMI: Activist Deji Adeyanju faces 10-year imprisonment

Detained activist Deji Adeyanju may be facing a ten- year jail term for his alleged rabid criticism of the Federal Government and top functionaries, it has been learnt.

Top sources within the security and intelligence system confided Adeyanju is likely to be arrested and taken before a Federal High Court for allegedly contravening aspects of The Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc) Act, 2015.

Last Wednesday police spokesman, Ag. DCP Jimoh Moshood in a statement titled “Dispersal Of unlawful Assembly and unruly protesters” alleged Deji Adeyanju, along with Daniel Abobama and Boma Williams were arrested for “ Criminal conspiracy, joint act, defamation of character, public nuisance, disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant, disturbance of public peace, inciting public disturbance, threat to public security and safety, criminal defamatory and derogatory conduct against constituted authority and breach of law and order.”

The police further accused Adeyanju and his two associates of “ criminal defamatory comments and utterances capable of inciting public disturbance, threat to public security and safety, criminal defamatory and derogatory conduct against constituent authority and breach of law and order pasted by Deji Adeyanju on his Facebook page.”

The police spokesman, in another statement same day, stated the trio others have been remanded in a prison outside Abuja, the Federal Capital.

“The Nigeria Police Force today arraigned Deji Adeyanju, Daniel Abobama and Boma Williams at Karshi Magistrate Court, Federal Capital Territory for criminal offences of Joint Act, criminal defamation, disturbance of public peace, threat to public security and safety and inciting public disturbance under the Penal Code Law.

“The lawyers to the suspects were equally in court. Deji Adeyanju, Daniel Abobama and Boma Williams were remanded to Prison custody in Keffi, Nasarawa State after they failed to meet the bail conditions.

“The matter was adjourned to 21st January, 2019 for hearing,” Jimoh Moshood stated.

Our correspondent reliably gathered a process may have commenced towards getting the police and the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation involved in arraigning Adeyanju on fresh charges under the Cybercrime Act before a Federal High court as his current issues are before a Magistrate court.

Detailed exhibits gathered for use in prosecuting Deji Adeyanju include several postings on his Whatsapp and Facebook accounts with allegedly unproven allegations against President Buhari, Vice President Osinbajo and Army Chief Buratai.

A competent source said the police have already publicised some of the online postings that may be cited under contravention of the Cybercrimes Act.

Penalties under the Cybercrimes Act range from ten years to life imprisonment though it remains to be seen how prosecution intends to interpret how Adeyanju infringed the law.

Part Three Section 5 (2) and (3) of the Act states that:

“Where the offence committed under subsection  ( 1 ) of this section results in grievous bodily harm  to any  person, he  offender  shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not more than 15 years without option of fine.

“Where the offence committed under subsection ( 1 ) of this section results in the death of person(s), the offender shall be liable on conviction to life imprisonment”.

“Deji Adeyanju, Daniel Abobama and Boma Williams were arrested by the Police within the powers provided under the constitution, Police Act and Regulations, the Penal Code Law and Procedures to prevent crime and ensure safety of all Nigerians. The Constitutional rights of every Nigerian as stated in first paragraph above i.e Sections 38, 39, 40 and 41, these rights are not absolute as section 45 of the same Constitution provides for derogation to these rights.

  • IPOB, Army: Charly Boy, Adeyanju urge FG to be more solution-focused

IPOB, Army: Charly Boy, Adeyanju urge FG to be more solution-focused

Popular Nigerian songwriter and entertainer, Charles Oputa, known as Charly Boy and the convener of Concerned Nigerians group, Deji Adeyanju, on Thursday called on the Federal Government to more circumspect and solution-focused in handling sensitive matters as secessionist agitations within the country.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Maverick singer and the former New Media Director for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), in which the duo noted that the move by the government is an aberration that must be strongly condemned.

The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to the recent detachment of soldiers from the Nigerian Army to the Afaraukwu country home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, and the invasion of Abia State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists on Aba Road, Umuahia, which led to the destruction of laptops and other valuables thereby causing unnecessary panic within the state and the entire region.

“We consider this move an aberration that must be strongly condemned in a democratic environment like ours.

“The good people of Abia State deserve better than the undue panic under which they have been placed since the invasion which has completely restricted them from going about their daily activities freely like they used to.

“In as much as we are aware that the Federal Government is concerned about curbing divisive messages and inordinate agitations within the country, we believe it should be more concerned about safeguarding the lives and properties of all Nigerians in any part of the country.

“It is also important to note that though recanted, the October 1 ultimatum issued by some misguided northern youths to the Igbos in the north remains weighty in the minds of many and the atmosphere is hypersensitive to any mishap that could foment such interethnic melee.

“We urge the Federal Government; therefore, that, rather than steaming up the flames of enmity and discord within the country by using force on harmless citizens, it should be more committed to dousing tensions and promoting peace and unity.

“Finally, we appeal to the Federal Government to be more circumspect and solution-focused in handling sensitive matters as secessionist agitations within the country. God bless Nigeria.”

  • Diezani: Protesters seek ex-minister’s extradition

    Diezani: Protesters seek ex-minister’s extradition

The Federal Government is under pressure to bring back former Petroleum Resources Minister Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke.

Some protesters yesterday marched on the Abuja headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to demand her extradition from the United Kingdom for trial.

They also raised issues on high-profile corruption suspects.

But the EFCC said it will follow due process in its ongoing investigation of the former minister.

It said the repatriation of the ex-minister required a long and painstaking process.

The protesters, who came under the umbrella of Concerned Nigerians, were led by Charles Oputa (popularly called Charly Boy) and Deji Adeyanju.

They had besieged the EFCC headquarters for a two-day sit-in.

The EFCC sought for patience on Mrs Alison-Madueke and other high-profile cases.

Charley Boy said the team was interested in the outcome of Mrs. Alison-Madueke’s  ongoing probe.

He said: “I am here to give support and ginger the youths who have finally decided to wake up from their docility and their slumber.

“We are here to force a discussion on this war on corruption. Is it only being fought on the pages of newspapers and why haven’t we had a conviction so far and why haven’t the guilty been punished so far?

“So, I am here to join the exceptional Nigerian youths to ask questions and hold the government accountable to the promises that have been made.

I remember the famous quote by President Buhari which says ‘if we cannot kill corruption, corruption will kill us’. And it looks like corruption is killing us. So, what the young people are asking is, why hasn’t there been any conviction so far?

“So, I am here to encourage them, to motivate them in standing up for their rights because if the youths exclude themselves from nation-building, then they have no future in this country.

“We told the EFCC that we will be back tomorrow and we will continue to support them in the fight.”

Charley Boy said apart from losing assets, the ex-Minister must face trial.

He said: “It is not enough for Diezani’s assets to be forfeited; there should be a conviction.

“If they cannot get a conviction for Diezani there (in London), let them bring her back home. Our eyes are on the Diezani matter and I am hoping that it won’t be business as usual. The sit-in stops tomorrow but our media campaign will continue.”

Adeyanju urged the EFCC not to be deterred in prosecuting the fight against corruption.

He said after the two-day sit-in, which began yesterday at the EFCC headquarters, the group will take its protest to the United Kingdom.

He said: “We came to tell the EFCC that we are demanding the extradition of Diezani, who is alleged to have stolen billions of dollars from the Nigerian coffers. We are saying if they do not extradite her and allow her trial to continue in the UK, it will be a pat on the back for her because what she is being accused of doing in the UK is a very minor offence.

”Corruption charges should be brought against her here and it is imperative that she be tried in Nigeria.

“We are also demanding that they should assist the British Government in whatever way possible to secure an extradition.

“We have also highlighted other corruption cases, like the IGP who was accused of collecting N120bn from oil companies and banks. Babachir Lawal and other cases like the CBN’s hoarding of forex.” The police chief has denied the allegations.

Adeyanju went on: “The EFCC does not need to wait for directives before investigating people. Once someone has been accused of something, the commission should swing into action.”

The EFCC said it would follow due process in its ongoing investigation of the ex- minister.

The Secretary to the commission, Mr. Emmanuel Aremo, who addressed the protesters, said the repatriation of the ex-minister required a long process.

Speaking on behalf of the Acting EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, Aremo stressed the anti-graft agency remained committed to the rule of law, adding that this is paramount in the fight against corruption.

He said: “Let us be patient and let us follow due process, we on our part will ensure that no stone is left unturned as we intensify the war against corruption.”

He asked the group “not to relent in their support for the EFCC, as the anti-graft agency needs the partnership of every Nigerian in the fight against corruption.

“I urge Nigerians to be patient because extradition requires a painstaking process that must be followed,” Aremo added.

  • ASUU strike, Charlie Boy episodes dominate Google searches

ASUU strike, Charlie Boy episodes dominate Google searches

The latest nationwide strike  declared by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Charlie Boy episodes in Abuja dominated searches on the internet search engine Google, this week.

Google’s spokesman Mr Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade made the announcement in a dispatch to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos.

He listed the week’s top trending search terms on Google to range from shocking strike news to an exciting new episode of a hit TV series.

“The President of the union, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, in a media briefing session held in Abuja on Aug. 13, officially declared that ASUU was embarking on an indefinite strike.

“He said that during the strike there would not be any teaching, examinations or attendance of meetings of any kind allowed in institutions under the union.

“The strike is said to be caused by some unresolved financial agreement between the Federal Government and the union.

“In response to the news, the National Association of Nigerian Students issued a statement, urging the Federal Government to dialogue with ASUU and giving a 21-day ultimatum to resolve the strike.

“Concerned citizens headed to Google to find out which institutions might be affected by the strike,” Kola-Ogunlade stated.

He said that the hit TV series, Game of Thrones returned with its 7th season, episode 5 early last month.

The spokesman said that the much anticipated new season was thrilling fans, keeping them glued to every episode.

“This week, viewers searched Google for a glimpse of episode 5 as the quest for the Iron throne continues.”

The Google manager said that the tagged protest, #ResumeOrResign also got a lot of people’s attention online.

“The self-acclaimed area father and musician, Charles Oputa, a.k.a. Charley Boy and Deji Adeyanju, took to the streets of Abuja last week Monday to protest the indefinite medical leave of President Mohammadu Buhari.

“During the protest, tagged #ResumeOrResign, Charly Boy collapsed and reported that he was attacked by hoodlums and the police in an effort to derail the protest.

“In another account, the police claimed that officers only moved to disperse some criminal elements that were infiltrating the protest.

“They also said that Charly Boy over-dramatised his collapse for the TV cameras.

“Eye-witnesses contradicted the police account and Nigerians seeking the whole story turned to Google for details,” Kola-Ogunlade said.

He said that in the world of sports, Cristiano Ronaldo’s 5-match ban by the Spanish Football Federation got people searching for details online.

He said that the ban was issued to the Real Madrid star as a result of an altercation with referee Ricardo De Burgos at the Real Madrid 3-1 Spanish Super Cup first leg victory on Aug. 13.

Kola-Ogunlade added that Ronaldo was said to be given a $3,543.20 fine, a four-match ban and one outstanding, due to the red card served to him. Football fans raced to Google search to get the full story.

The Google image-maker said that the Aug. 12 violence in Charlottesville got well-wishers and interested Nigerian readers visiting Google to search for updates about the situation.

“A white nationalist-organised ‘unite for right’ march escalated into a full blown protest as they were joined by counter-protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, U.S.

“The clash between the protesters led to violent exchanges, tussling and the death of one civilian with cars plowing into protesters and the death of two state troopers in a helicopter crash at the scene.”

Kola-Ogunlade said that a Nigerian singer, rapper and songwriter Keshinro Ololade, a.ka. Lil Kesh, dropped a new single titled ‘Baby Flavour’.

“The ex-YBNL recording artist has been absent from the music scene for a while before the release of his new song.

“Fans are excited about his return and headed to Google to download and listen to Lil Kesh’s new single.

Google trends launched in May, 2006, allows one to see how popular, search terms and its demography have been over time on Google.

Charly Boy almost lynched at Wuse Market

Popular entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, who is leading the #ResumeOrResign protest against President Muhammadu Buhari’s continued medical vacation in the UK was on Tuesday attacked at the popular Wuse Market by angry protesters.

Charly Boy was attacked in Wuse Market by angry protesters who are believed to be supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari.

His he car was damaged by the thugs.

The gates of the market were temporarily closed and manned by heavily armed security operatives after the incident.

One of the leaders of the group, Deji Adeyanju, confirmed the development on twitter.

He said the attack was masterminded by a regular face among pro-Buhari protesters – a group involved in solidarity protest in support for President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We just went to Wuse market for mobilization against 100 days event tomorrow and a regular face at Unity Fountain brought thugs to attack us.

“They attacked us with police on Tuesday. Tried to attack us at Unity Fountain with their government sponsored thugs. Today is Wuse Market.

“Charly Boy’s car was damaged by the thugs. This is a senseless government. #ResumeOrResign,” Adeyanu wrote on twitter.

  • ‘Release El-Zakzaky and wife to us’

‘Release El-Zakzaky and wife to us’

An advocacy group, Concerned Nigerians has requested that the leader of Nigeria’s Islamic Movement,  Ibrahim Yaqoub El Zakzaky be released to them.

The group further accused the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, of falsehood over the present welfare and accommodation of the outspoken Shi’a Muslim cleric.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Convener, Deji Adeyanju and Secretary to the group, John Danfulani.

The statement reads: “We watched the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed with dismay and anger on Channels TV as he tried to justify the continuous and unlawful detention of Sheik Zakzaky and his wife.

“Mohammed said that Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife are not being detained or in custody of the police or DSS but in a home built by this government. This assertion by Minister of Information is not only false but unacceptable to all well meaning Nigerians and an insult to our collective sensibility.

“You’d recall that over 1000 Shi’ites were killed by government forces in Zaria back in 2015 and till date, no one is on trial. The Sheikh and his wife have been denied access to his immediate and extended family, his lawyers and members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) who are his immediate constituent.

“How can the Minister of Information say the Sheik and his wife are living in a house built by this government and no member of his immediate family, his lawyers or IMN members have been allowed to visit him in that house?

“Information available to us suggests that Sheik Zakzaky and his wife are still in DSS custody and have remained there ever since their arrest in December 2015.

It is not true that no Nigerian is willing to be a neighbour to Sheikh Zakzaky or accept him.

“We are willing and ready to accept Zakzaky as a neighbour. In fact, our Kaduna state coordinator and members both in Kaduna city and Zaria are ready to house Zakzaky and his wife and support their reintegration into the society. We are also willing and ready to provide accommodation for Zakzaky and his wife pending his permanent reintegration.

“We are therefore appealing to the federal government to release Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife to us and end his unlawful and illegal prolonged incarceration. This government must remember that the world is watching and that it has the worst human rights violation record in the history of our country.

  • ‘EFCC must investigate Melaye, Justice Ikpeme over bribe allegations’

‘EFCC must investigate Melaye, Justice Ikpeme over bribe allegations’

Concerned Nigerians, a pro-democracy group committed to accountability, rule of law, good governance and the fight against corruption has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)  to investigate the Snator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye and Justice Akon Ikpeme of the Cross River State High Court.

The group made this known on Friday in a press release signed by Deji Adeyanju, the Convener and Dr. John Danfulani, Secretary., stating that its attention is drawn to a conversation between the Senator and the Judge which was published by Sahara Reporters, an online news platform, recently.

In the release, the group noted that its attention is drawn to a conversation between the Senator and the Judge which was published by Sahara Reporters, an online news platform, recently.

The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a voice audio recording purported to be a conversation between Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial District and Justice Akon Ikpeme of the Cross River State High Court published by Sahara Reporters few days ago.

“We are calling on the Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu to sanction that an investigation be conducted into the allegations of bribery of the Cross River State High Court Judge by Senator Melaye.

“A careful analysis of this voice recording suggests that the Cross River State High Court judge was bribed by Senator Dino Melaye.

“The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) must investigate the circumstances of this recording, the allegations insinuated therein and the veracity of the recording. Senator Dino Melaye and Justice Akon Ikpeme of the Cross River State High Court must be invited for questioning by the EFCC. A thorough investigation must be done in this matter.

“This is another test of the anti-corruption war of the Buhari led Government. EFCC must prove that there are no sacred cows in the fight against corruption and that all who commit financial crimes must be brought to book irrespective of their position.

“Since members of the opposition have been at the receiving end in the fight against corruption of this administration, the investigation and subsequent prosecution of the culprits in this matter might correct the established notion.

  • Adeyanju hails Mimiko at 62

    Adeyanju hails Mimiko at 62

    • .-RSays, he is ‘Perfect Nigerian mentor’.

In Nigeria, we have an acute shortage of real heroes and mentors. Most people who occupy leadership positions are people who go into politics do so to make a name or fill their pocket with money. Many of them are not interested in mentoring a new generation of leaders.

I have had the privilege of meeting leaders of all categories and I can say without mincing words that most people in Nigeria who become leaders have no business with leadership. I have spent hours with some leaders and from whom I waited eagerly for words of inspiration and motivation that never came.  Quite a number of them spent time focusing on mundane issues, caught up in the web of materialism. There is nothing inspiring about them or their leadership lifestyle.

I was introduced to Governor Olusegun Mimiko the Iroko by my older brother (Femi Fani-Kayode) who had a very soft spot for me and had repeatedly told me that if I was to develop leadership skills, I needed a visionary leader as a mentor. He believed Governor Mimiko was that leader. He spoke to me about how ideologically inclined Governor Mimiko was.

From that first meeting, I could immediately tell that Governor Mimiko was going to have a strong impact on my life. He spoke about issues – socio-political, economic, historical and personal – with a knowledge and passion that was both iluminating and inspiring. At that first meeting, he told me that his abiding principle in his interaction and discussion with younger people was the desire to ensure that every conversation was a teaching moment, an opportunity to pass on wisdom, an opening to motivate.

It was at this first meeting that he gave me, perhaps, the best analogy about leadership that I have heard. Iroko, as he is fondly called, believes that a leader is like a medical doctor, sworn and committed to daily apply himself to treating the patients who come to him.

In the years that have gone by, I have often been a guest at his table. Meal times in the Mimiko household are an occasion not just to break bread in fellowship but to have enlightening trans-generational conversations about a wide range of issues.

It was at his meal tables that I gleaned my first leadership lesson from him. Governor Mimiko has a core group of people with whom he has shared friendship for well over 20 years and with whom he often shares a meal, particularly breakfast. Their friendship is real and deep in a manner that enables them to talk to him frankly and help keep his feet on the ground. These are people who are not scared to vehemently oppose him on any matter, people who can look him in the eye and tell him how wrong his train of thought or intention on any particular issue is.

The lesson I took from that is how important it is to have a core group of people with whom I can emulate such friendship. In a country where people often become trapped by power, surrounded by yes men and unable to get a true picture of the real perception of the public on issues, such friendships are a key ingredient to success.

It was also from him I learnt my second and third leadership lessons. At the time he made his intention to run for office public, he was opposed by President Olusegun Obasanjo. Anyone who knows Baba knows that he does not oppose in half measure. It was a struggle that involved the use the apparatus of state to temporarily deprive Mimiko of the mandate of the people which was freely given to him.

The two things that struck me about that struggle are – how Governor Mimiko has never said anything negative or derisory about Baba in public (at least to my knowledge) and how he remained committed to his goals until the Supreme Court delivered its landmark judgment that signified victory.

From this tussle I learnt how important it is to be respectful – even to people who consider themselves your enemy. I also learnt the importance of patience and perseverance.
As the years have gone by, I have seen Governor Mimiko apply his principles and ideology to governance. A very generous family man, I have seen him implement a number of policies and programmes designed to improve the welfare and lifestyle of the people he leads. These policies mirror his personal beliefs about life and what the minimum standard of living should be.

One of such policies is the Abiye programme – a programme designed to provide free and qualitative healthcare for pregnant women and children aged 0-5 years. The cardinal objective of the programme is to eliminate maternal mortality and infant mortality as much as possible.
This programme, which involved the establishment of Agbebiye/Mother & Child centres spread across the state and the establishment of the Ondo Mother & Child Hospital in Oke-Aro, compelled traditional birth attendants to refer pregnant women to nearby health facilities where they can receive qualitative healthcare before, during and after delivery.
In its 3 years of operations, the Ondo Mother & Child Hospital has handled over 25,000 under- five children, 17,000 pregnant women, 1,000 gynaecological patients, 10,000 safe deliveries and 2,500 caesarean sessions free of charge.
This has helped reduce the State’s alarming maternal mortality rate from 745 per 100,000 live births in 2009 to 172 per 100,000 live births in 2015. My research shows me that this figure will be significantly lower when the statistics for 2016 are released.

This programme has helped Ondo State become the only State in Nigeria to achieve MDG goal 5 of reducing Maternal Mortality by 75%. As a result, the State has won two editions of the Bill Gates Leadership Award.

Another of such programmes is the State School Bus programme. This simple programme involves the use of government provided buses to ferry children in uniform to and from school absolutely free. Established on June 12, 2012 the School Bus Programme provides transportation of an average of 53,000 students monthly. A report I saw showed that prior to the inception of the programme, most student spent an average of N100 getting to and from school daily. A simple calculation will show that this programme helps parents and guardians save around N113 million monthly.

Iroko is one of the most humble Nigerian leaders I have ever met. An experience I can never forget is an incidence when I travelled to see him. By the time I got to Akure, I discovered that he had left for an urgent engagement in Owo – a 45 minute drive away.

He asked me to turn around and gave me directions on the phone. I got to where he was to discover that he had stopped his convoy and waited for us on the road for over 20mins. When we got to where the governor was standing, Churchill Umoren my friend who had travelled with me was so amazed that he kept saying how “How can a governor park his convoy for 20mins and wait for a small boy like you?” My reply was that Iroko personifies humility.

The Governor did not stop there, he left his bulletproof car and joined me in mine, a 2003 Toyota Corolla which did not have air conditioning, for the duration of the trip and asked Churchill to enter his car so we could talk privately. That incident with Governor Mimiko is a regular occurrence. I believe the he forgets most times that he is the Governor of a state.

I could go on and on speaking about the polices and ideology of governor Mimiko and how they have affected the lives of the people he leads. When you meet the Iroko, you can never be in doubt as to where he stands: he stand for restructuring and true federalism. His programmes and policies are about the welfare of the people he leads. Every social services provided for the people are FREE, the schools, hospital, school buses, etc.

I could speak about the Medical Village in Ondo town which houses the Gani Fawehinmi Mother and Child Hospital, Kidney Care Centre, the Gani Fawehinmi Diagnostic Centre and the University of Medical Sciences (First of its kind in Africa).
I could also speak about his Cocoa Revolution Project (CRP) which has seen Ondo State grow to account for over 40% of Nigeria’s total cocoa production and which saw chocolate produced in partnership with the chocolate giant, SPAGnVOLA, with cocoa beans from the Oda Cocoa Estate win the 2015 Silver Award from the London Academy of Chocolate.

When I wanted to contest for the position of National Publicity Secretary of our great party few months ago, Iroko was the first person I consulted before I took the big move. His words were: “If PDP is serious and ready to change, it will ensure you get it unopposed. This will send a loud sound to Nigerians and especially the young generation that the party has changed. This party will be lucky to have you as Publicity Secretary. You young people will start a revolution with the party. Nigerians will trust the party again if you guys are the face of the party”.

At another time, I took some young politicians to him and he was speaking and motivating us and these were his words: “There are too many people without conscience in politics. They have no soul and I am so discouraged to the point of giving up on many occasions but it is every time I see you guys that I say to myself I must not give up; there is still hope.”

But this was not meant to be a political piece on Governor Mimiko. It is an article written in celebration of a father, mentor and friend. It is an article written to share with its readers a little about this man who has helped shape the course of my life in so many ways.

I write this to celebrate Governor Olusegun Otaibayomi Mimiko at 62. Sir, if you see this – may the Lord bless you, and keep you, and cause His face to shine upon you. May there be many more years to celebrate.

    Happy birthday!!!
