    Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie Instant noodles has announced the kick-off of yet another exciting consumer enabling promotion tagged “Indomie Cash for Scholarship Promo” which is expected to run up till the month of April 2017.

    Consumers of Indomie Instant Noodles are expected to participate by collecting and cutting all 18 letters from Indomie Noodles packs to complete the phrase “INDOMIE LIKE NO OTHER”. After presenting the 18 letters that form the phrase at designated redemption centres consumers stand the chance of being rewarded with prizes such as premium brand bicycles, 150,000 Naira worth of scholarships to support their education.

    Speaking about the Promo, Brand Manager, Indomie Instant Noodles, Mr Amber Yadav, said: “the cash for scholarship promo is borne out of Indomie’s desire to enable consumers to achieve their dreams of a better life for tomorrow. Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe and Tafawa Balewa might not have achieved greatness without education and Indomie believes an educated person is better equipped to make better choices relating to the quality of life and even brands they consume, such as Indomie.”

    The Group Public Relations and Events Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr Tope Ashiwaju also explained that the Cash for Scholarship promo is another opportunity for consumers to be appreciated by Indomie.

    According to Tope “the modality for winning in this promo is effortless. All that is required if for the consumer to collect different letters contained in each promo pack till they complete the 18 letters that make up the sentence ‘INDOMIE LIKE NO OTHER’. Once these 18 letters are complete, they win instant prizes of bicycles and scholarship worth 150, 000 Naira at any of our redemption centres” stated Ashiwaju.

    Ashiwaju, therefore, urged all consumers of the brand to participate in the promo by continuously cutting and collecting the required 18 Letters till they eventually become winners, as the promo was specifically designed with the aim of supporting consumer to achieve their dreams of a better and quality life.

    Indomie is, however, not new to providing scholarships to its teeming consumers as the brand recently offered twelve Postgraduate students from different Universities across the country scholarship worth N450, 000 each in the Indomie MSc Nutrition Scholarship Awards 2016.

    As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, Dufil prima Foods makers of Indomie Instant Noodles have pledged to partner with the Kaduna State Government on its laudable School Feeding Programme.The brand conveyed its support when its top management staff paid a courtesy visit to the Kaduna State Government.

    The state government’s School Feeding Programme was introduced to ensure school children are fed every day making them more inclined to learning. Many children attend school without eating due to poverty and this affects their ability to be attentive in class.

    Speaking during the visit, General Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr Girish Sharma stated that, “the continued progress of the School Feeding Scheme within the state and the passion of the government at ensuring the scheme remains functional has been closely monitored over time. It has become imperative for Indomie to throw its weight behind such a laudable scheme in order to encourage children to remain in school.”

    “Over the years, Indomie has become the favourite and most preferred meal especially for children and we know that for effective learning to be achieved the child must be properly fed. On this premise we are glad to support the Kaduna State Government on the feeding initiative as its resultant effect would lead to better learning for children, improved health and encourage enrolment in schools since the food challenge has been eliminated.” He said.

    Indomie during the visit also donated 500 cartons of Indomie Instant Noodles to the state governor, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai.

    On his part, Governor El-Rufai stated: “According to available statistics only 1.1 million children were in school when I assumed office as the governor of the state but presently the figure has doubled to about 2.2 million children due to the free education and feeding programme. I, therefore, commend Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie Instant noodles for the donation and commitment to the school feeding programme initiated by the state.”

    The governor promised to deploy the cartons of Indomie to Sanga Injema Local Government Area of the State where there is a major crisis of internal displacement in the state. He further called on other companies to emulate Indomie’s act of selfless service to humanity.

    Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie noodles has announced its strategic partnership with DAAR Communications Plc towards the 2016 Indomie Independence Day Awards for Heroes of Nigeria (IIDA).

    The award is the annual corporate social responsibility initiative of Dufil Prima Foods Plc which is geared towards the recognition of children who have, against all odds, exhibited extraordinary acts of bravery in the face of danger / societal challenges which have sometimes brought them injuries.

    The deal provides IIDA with the opportunity to utilise DAAR Communications Plc platforms – RAYPOWER, AIT and FAAJI FM for guest appearances, news coverage and advert spot booking.

    The agreement will help give the IIDA initiative a wider coverage to the whole wide world, showcasing the extraordinary acts of heroism in Nigerian children.

    In a statement signed by the Chief Marketing Officer, AIT, Mr. Lanre Awoyemi said; “The partnership between Dufil and DAAR Communication Plc is another opportunity for DAAR to contribute to the promotion of accomplishments of children who are young but yet matured, and have shown extraordinary courage and determination in situations that ordinarily would bring fear, discouragement and self-pity to the whole world.”

Indomie has kicked off the Indomie BelleFull comedy Challenge; an online competition to project funny, talented and creative individuals with a passion for comedy to limelight in the Nigerian comedy landscape.

    Indomie Fan Club (IFC), Nigeria’s largest children based fan club has commenced a nationwide fun and exciting competition, tagged: ‘Team Yourself Up Competition’ where kids stand a chance of winning a wide range of fantastic prizes.

    The competition is one of the many ways through which the brand, Indomiehopes to engage with thousands of kids to provide them an opportunity to express their creative talents and abilities.

    To participate in the competition, children are required to team up with any person of their choice to make anything UNIQUE with Indomie empty wrappers, cartons or both. The ‘Team Yourself Up Competition’also allows children to send in multiple entries before the 30th of May 2016 which is the end date of the competition.

    Rewards for this competition includes an assured gifts for all IFC participants, the reward of a total sum of N100,000 for the first place winner, the sum of N75,000 to the second prize winner, while the third place winner gets a total sum ofN50,000 and lots of other consolation prizes to be won.

    Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles has shown its zest to support the biggest end-of-the-year crossover event in Nigeria. The end-of-the-year crossover event tagged: “One Lagos Fiesta” is in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture with a whooping sum of 10million Naira as support. The event replaces the annual Lagos Countdown event - a concept of the State’s Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA), to herald the New Year while celebrating the rich culture, music, language of the state and also promoting commerce especially for more small scale businesses in the State.  This year’s edition is the fourth of the series which usually witness over 200,000 individuals in attendance. Speaking on the partnership for the event, Head of Public Relations and Event Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, said: “We are excited to be a part of this maiden edition of One Lagos Fiesta which is the biggest crossover event and concert in Lagos State and Nigeria by extension”.     The Indomie Fan Club which was launched July 2005 with the key objective of creating an engaging  atmosphere for children between the ages of 5 – 12 years where they can mix, learn and interact with one another irrespective of their socio-cultural background,  has grown to become the largest children’s fan club in Nigeria.

    In an effort to positively impact the nation’s education sector, Dufil Prima Foods Plc makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, has again partnered the Lagos Empowerment and Resource Network  (LEARN) on its 2015 Summer School Programme.

    With the partnership, Dufil supported the initiative with half a million naira as well as with educational materials for secondary school students, drawn from 3 centres across Lagos (Surulere, Agidingbi and Maryland).

    Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, the Public Relations Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc explained that the company’s 7 years longstanding partnership with LEARN was hinged on the importance of education to the nation.

    The Objective of this initiative is to bring secondary school students together in between terms to continue to encourage them in some form of academic and non-academic exercise as time spent in school is virtually not enough to impact all required knowledge for the students.”

    “Therefore this initiative serves as a platform for students to pursue further knowledge to aid their academic and non-academic endeavours.”  

    He added that Indomie as a brand believes in and had always been affiliated with the growth of the nation’s education sector at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels, which informed its education-oriented Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

    Also commenting on the partnership, the Coordinator, LEARN, New Era Centre Surulere, Mrs. Anu Adepoju, confirmed Dufil’s support to LEARN since its inception 7 years ago.

    “The children always look forward to having a taste of their favourite noodles every afternoon, and this enables them pay attention in class and vocational activities without having to worry about where their lunch would come from,” she said.

    “The Indomie experience has added a new dimension to the summer schools with the provision of T-shirts, caps, pens to exercise books and most importantly, lunch” said Adepoju.

    The summer school, an initiative of the former First Lady of Lagos state, Mrs. Emmanuella Fashola, ignites passion for learning among the youths by equipping them with leadership & entrepreneurial skills, good character development, vocational and other skills.

    •  Donates cash and products to Nigeria Society for the Blind

    Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Nigeria’s household Noodles brand, Indomie Instant Noodles, has again demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of blind and visually impaired persons in Nigeria.

    The company demonstrated this recently through its cash donation and products support for the Nigeria Society for the Blind (NSB) White Cane Day which held at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

    Making the donation at the 10th white Cane Day, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, Public Relations Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, said Dufil has a history of contributing to the care and development of the physically challenged in Nigeria, and thus touching many of their lives as its believe that ‘in every disability, there is ability’.

    According to him, “Our environment is not favorable for people with sight, not to talk of people living without sight. Therefore, Dufil Prima Foods Plc saw the need to contribute its quota to ensuring that the visually impaired people have access to quality education and equal rights as other citizens in the country.”

    He also added that the company would continue to participate in the White Cane Day and support in the rehabilitation of the visually impaired.

    Mr. Ashiwaju Fola-Oshibo, chairman of NSB, in his remark stated that the use of white cane as an effective mobility aid for the blind and visually impaired encourages the blind to be less dependent on their relatives and friends for the purpose of mobility, thus making the blind self-reliant.

    Fola-Oshibo however thanked the management of Dufil for their kind gesture towards the Society, urging state and local governments as well as the Federal Government to put in place enough structures to make mobility easy for the blind.
