Justice Monisola Abodunde of an Ado-Ekiti High Court has sentenced to three years imprisonment two students of the Ekiti State University (EKSU)  for cultism.

The verdict was slammed on Akintunde Olumide and Oladapo Olaoluwa after the prosecution proved a case of stealing, assault and membership of a secret cult group against them.

Police prosecutor Femi Falade told the court that the accused committed the offence on July 13, 2013 at a hotel in Iworoko-Ekiti.

She added that this would serve as deterrent to others.
