Heartland FC chief coach, Charles Uzor has praised the Imo fans for their massive support to the team in their 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League first game of the season.
Uzor who was distrust at the Naze Millionaires’ 3-1 loss to Enyimba on Sunday assures Imo people that the team would bounce back from the defeat and that they should keep on supporting the team.
The Heartland coach reckoned that the young Naze Millionaires played against a more experienced Enyimba side and that things could have been different had they converted the chances they had earlier in the game.
“Enyimba is a formidable team with experienced players while Heartland team are very youthful side. The game when it started was going on good but sometimes you know younger players lose concentration when it matters most but all the same we are promising our fans that this team will come back stronger and better,” Uzor told journalists.

“In football such situations happen if the goals that came in, in the second half nobody will talk about experience. How do you get experience? Nobody was born with it. It is constant when you keep doing same particular thing constantly then you build the confidence and the experience.
“This is the first game of the season and you don’t decide who takes the league or who goes on relegation from the first game. Of course the game wasn’t that too bad but the result came out this way doesn’t mean we will not come up. We are assuring Imo people that this team will come up stronger and better.”
