    The mother of two excitedly announced her debut to the “iPhone gang,” while noting her continued fondness for Samsung.

    She said: “Can your friend ever? Thank you, booboo @funkejenifaakindele! This beautiful gift is everything!

    “You’re the real MVP, Ore mi talk and do. I’ve joined the iPhone gang again oooooo, chai!! But Samsung still has a special place in my heart, na small, small o!”

    In a X post, she revealed that the highly anticipated second season of the hit movie will premiere on FAANtv’s YouTube channel on June 22, 2025.

    Funke teased that the new season will deliver a mix of laughter, drama, and meaningful life lessons, continuing the legacy of the first season, which debuted five years ago.

    The final celebration, dubbed “JP 2025,” is scheduled to take place on May 28 in Tanzania, marking the culmination of their wedding festivities, which began with traditional and white weddings in Lagos on April 17 and 19.

    Upon her arrival, Akindele was warmly welcomed by Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla’s mother, who presented her with flowers and a cape.

    Funke Akindele postpones YouTube release of ‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga’

    Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has announced a delay in the scheduled YouTube release of her blockbuster film Omo Ghetto: The Saga due to unforeseen circumstances.

    Originally slated to premiere on May 10, the film has now been postponed to a later date yet to be announced.

    In a message to her fans, Akindele assured that the project has not been cancelled and thanked her audience for their continued patience and support.

    She promised to share a new release date soon.

    “Omo Ghetto: The Saga” is a gangster comedy film that was initially released in cinemas on December 25, 2020, and broke box office records, grossing over ₦636.1 million.

    The film features an ensemble cast, including Chioma Akpotha, Eniola Badmus, and Bimbo Thomas, and even spawned a soundtrack called “Askamaya Anthem” performed by the lead actresses.

    No regret going into politics, I’ll do it again – Funke Akindele

    Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has shared her transformative experience in politics.

    Speaking at the #WithChude Live talk hosted by media entrepreneur Chude Jideonwo, Akindele said her decision to run as the Lagos Deputy Governorship candidate in the 2023 elections was driven by a desire to give back to society and support others.

    Through this journey, Akindele said she gained valuable insights into leadership, governance and national development.

    According to her, she learnt the importance of boldness, resilience and courage, discovering that fear can be limiting.

    Akindele also emphasised the power of knowledge, developing a habit of reading extensively and backing her arguments with data and statistics.

    Reflecting on her experience, Akindele expressed gratitude for the lessons she learned and hinted at a possible return to politics.

    She said: “I need to support others, I need to give back. That is why I went to politics. Getting into it, seeing the violence, seeing the shouting, then I started watching female politicians, you know, the way they speak, and the way they command respect and authority. And I’m like, hey, you can do it.

    “I stood, I spoke, I learnt that from there, that you have to be bold, you have to be courageous, you have to be strong, what will be will be, fear will only put you in a place.

    “So all this I learnt from doing politics. And I got to know a lot of numbers, I got educated more, acquire more knowledge, you know, I’m reading more now, knowing more about my country, knowing more about my state.

    “When I want to speak, I’ll speak with the statistics, you understand, with the data. So I am glad I went to politics. And ask me, am I going to do it again? Oh, yes!”
