    …As new HoH saves TBoss

    Gifty is going through the same anxiety she faced last week, having been put up again for possible eviction this Sunday.

    She was nominated on Monday alongside TBoss and ThinTallTony. However, TBoss who had gone through the heat before, albeit a fake eviction, was saved by new Head of House, Ese, who replaced her with Marvis. It will be Marvis’ second time on the eviction hot seat too.

    Predictions for this week’s nominations were a bit sketchy at first but as the housemates made their way one after the other to the Diary Room to nominate two housemates each for possible eviction, it became clear who would be making the cut.

    As it was during the last nomination show, Bally was called in first by big brother to make his selection. He once again delayed the use of his advantage card and nominated Bisola and TTT. For the rest housemates, Efe nominated Tboss and Gifty; Gifty nominated Kemen and Bassey; TTT nominated Tboss and Gifty; Bassey nominated Efe and TTT; Bisola nominated Tboss and Gifty; Kemen nominated Debie-rise and Gifty; Debie-rise nominated TTT and Marvis; TBoss nominated Marvis and Uriel; Uriel nominated Tboss and Debie-rise while Marvis breaks Bally’s clean slate by nominating him and Uriel for possible eviction.

    Although Gifty, TBoss and TTT had the highest number of nomination nods, as it is the norm, Biggie called on new Head of House and fake housemate, Ese, to save one of the housemates and replace with another. In a defining moment, Ese opted to save TBoss and replaced her with Marvis.

    With the results from the nomination session officially announced by Biggie, social media micro-blogging site Twitter has been buzzing with viewers campaigning for their favorite housemates.

    The countdown to the next eviction show has officially begun!  Voting for the third eviction show started on Monday, February 13 at 21h00 WAT and will close on Saturday, February 18 at 20h00 WAT. Viewers in Nigeria are expected to text the word “Vote” followed by their preferred housemate’s name to 32052. While for the rest of Africa, they are to follow the AfricaMagictv official account on WeChat and click on the menu option ‘BBNaija’ and select their preferred housemate. Viewers are encouraged to vote for the housemate they want to remain in the house.

    The show is aired 24/7 in 45 countries from Nigeria through East, West and Southern Africa on all DStv packages on channel 198 and GOtv channel 29.

    Housemates at the ongoing Big Brother TV reality show on Monday nominated fellow housemates for possible eviction.

    During the process, Gifty, TBoss and Thin tall Tony were nominated. However, the Head of House replaced TBoss with Marvis, when called by Big Brother to save an housemate.

    Meanwhile, the housemate with the highest nomination is Gifty.

    …As five housemates are up for possible eviction

    Just two weeks into the show, the slogan for this year’s edition of the ongoing Big Brother Naija, ‘See Gobbe’, a slang connoting commotion, is coming to bear, with the housemates now engaging in serious backstabbing, gossiping, outright confrontation and some perfidious strategy meant to edge one another out of the competition.

    Reality of the game soon hit the housemates who had somewhat bonded so well in the first two weeks, when Soma and Miyonse were sacked from the show during last Monday’s live eviction show.

    While the ladies shed tears crying out loud, the man showed signs of depression, but all that was for the night. By the next morning, they had warmed up for the next set of nominations which turned out quite surprising as Bassey, Bisola, CocoIce, Debie-Rise and Giftywere were announced as the housemates up for possible eviction.

    With last Sunday’s eviction still fresh in their memories, the housemates have come to understand the rule of the game, as they took turns in the diary room to nominate two housemates each, whom they wanted out of the house.

    First up was Bally. He delayed the use of his green advantage card and nominated Bisola and TTT. New comer Debie-Rise nominated Marvis and Bisola while Kemen nominated Bisola and TTT. Next was CocoIce, who nominated TTT and Bassey; with TBoss going with Marvis and Bassey. For Bassey’s first nomination, he picked CocoIce and Kemen while Uriel nominated CocoIce (no surprise there) and TTT. Gifty nominated Bassey and CocoIce; and Head of House (HoH) Efe went with TBoss and CocoIce. Finally, TTT nominated Debie-Rise and Gifty; and Marvis nominated CocoIce and Debie-Rise.

    At the end of the nominations, ‘Biggie’ called out CocoIce, TTT, Bisola, Debie-Rise and Bassey as the housemates with the highest nominations. As expected, HoH Efe was called on to save one of the housemates and replace with another. In less than 20 seconds, Efe opted to save TTT and put up Gifty in his place.

    Speaking on the show, Martin Mabutho, General Manager, Marketing, MultiChoice Nigeria said: “The next few days will no doubt be intense as five housemates will do all it takes to secure their places in the competition”. He also added, “With as little as N1,800 you can join in on the Big Brother Naija experience which is available on all DStv packages and on GOtv Plus.”

    The next eviction show holds on Sunday, February 12. And viewers in Nigeria are expected to text the word “Vote” followed by their preferred housemate’s name to 32052. While for the rest of Africa, fans are told to follow the AfricaMagictv official account on WeChat and click on the menu option ‘BBNaija’ and select their preferred housemate. Voting had opened at 21h00 WAT on Monday, February 6 and will close at 20h00 WAT on Saturday, February 11.

    GIFTY Brian, a housemate in the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show, has come under attack by fans who found it difficult to comprehend her life around men. Rumoured to have called it quits five months into her marriage, in search of fame in Lagos, being Nigeria’s entertainment hub, Gifty was said to have had some flings with music artistes like Flavour and Mr 2Kay.

    Before then, there are indications that David had featured in some of his films, a relationship that led to their marriage in April, 2014. But when she couldn’t make stardom starring in the films from Asaba, she decided to bid Asaba and her marriage farewell.

    It is not clear if other factors were responsible for the breakup, as neither Gifty nor David has made any comment on the issue.

    Some of the indications fetched from David’s Facebook accounts have it that they had a church wedding on April 6, 2014.

    On April 5, 2014, David Sorochukwu Akumah wrote: “We hapily invite U 2 our white weddn on 6th April 9am:@Assemblies of God Odunikwe. 12pm:Receptn @WDC Ai. Akumah Dave & Brain Gifty.”

    On August 3, 2014, he wrote: “She’s my wife, my BF(best friend),my queen, my mother, my soulmate, my joy and my forever heartbeat. “Without The Heartbeat In Me, I Can’t Be Alive”…A Splendid Sunday To You, HUN!”

    On September 6, 2014, David Sorochukwu Akumah added 3 new photos — with Ogechukwu Amos. He captioned them with these words: “Watch my wife on her action moves, especially in “Nkoli nwa nsukka”… that’s when she comes in with her flow, lol..lol *Congrats wify*”

    On September 10, 2014, he added two new photos and captioned them thus: “My queen, My Wife, My Beauty, My Soul, My HeartBeat, My Princess, My EverLasting Gift.. I blessed the day I found you, you’re One in a ZILLION girls… No matter what happens I will never let you go, I will forever love you even in death…you will always be my WIFE! I miss you my JOY! Keep rocking NOLLYWOOD! I gat ya back.”

    However, the following post from Gifty’s Facebook was her last since October 26, 2014. And it is pregnant with innuendos.

    She said: “Sometimes we do things that we think is right…but not knowing you hurting someone’s feelings….Love they say can be broken only if you treat it like an egg it is…….. And if it’s broken then don’t blame anyone but yourself because it was your duty to treat it properly…..
