  • Emulate Christ, girls told

Girls have been charged to emulate the qualities of Jesus Christ to secure their future and destiny.

A member of the Board of Trustee of Jesus Girls International Foundation, Ibrahim Oruma, urged Christian girls to avoid vices capable of setting them against God.

He spoke at a one day leadership/health talk by the organisation in Lagos.

“If all of us imbibe the virtues of Jesus Christ, these problems will no longer be there,” Oruma stated.

While lamenting the moral decadence in the society, he assured the foundation will help in tackling the menace.

According to him: “If we bring these girls together and teach them the virtues and qualities of Jesus Christ, we will be able to correct some of the ills in the society. Jesus the one to run to at all times, He never fails.”

A Canadian consultant, Mrs. Ebi Obaro, stated girls must discover their leadership traits by developing a vision for their goals.

While charging parents to give their children good guidance and right sex education,

Founder of the foundation, Sarah Emmanuel-Godfrey, said it was established to provide emotional healings, mentoring and counseling to girls and women facing all kinds of challenges and also coming together to serve humanity.

“Jesus Girls is a Christian NGO dedicated to emotional healings and direct impact in the lives of people. We are also dedicated to those that can’t say thank you.

“We are looking forward to leave a positive signature in the lives of people, as leadership is about impact and relevance,” she said.

  • Girls…Must you have a boyfriend even at 18?

DEAR Aunty Temilolu, A few months ago, I was browsing the internet in search of ways to stop masturbating and I stumbled on your articles on masturbation. To my surprise, after reading your articles and absorbing them in my spirit, I completely lost interest in what had taken over my life. Till today I haven’t been able to “play” with myself- in fact the thought never crosses my mind. I’m so relieved I have a “big adviser” who will see me through life rather than my friends who have been giving me wrong advice. Also, nothing bothers me anymore; I’m no longer depressed, I’m so happy! You inspire me a lot, God bless you ma!

    Sharon, P/H

    Dear Aunty Temilolu,

I have been dating a guy for the past 4 years and everything was going on well until now. He had been asking me for sex which I refused. In recent times, he put pressure on me and said if I loved him, I’ll grant his request. I asked him what if I got pregnant and he said I wouldn’t get pregnant. We eventually had sex and now I’m 2 months pregnant. He stopped picking my calls after I told him. What will I do now?

    T.17 (100L Student)

T…T…T…, when you were doing itdid you ask me if it was right for you to succumb to his pressure??? I feel so sorry for you. I’m so crushed I don’t even know how to handle this. To worsen matters, when I asked about his parents’ whereabouts, you told me they recently travelled out of the country. Doesn’t he have a family you know? Don’t you know his house or where did he lay you? I bet your parents don’t even know you’re pregnant! You just got admission into the university then this…what do we call this? We have to look for a way to get across to his parents or any of his family members whom I believe you must know since you’ve been lovers for some years. We’ll discuss further on the phone!

My darling, precious, glorious, dignified, world-famous and heavenly celebrated Nigerian sisters,

I repeat- “MUST YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND EVEN AT 18?” I keep telling you girls how important and delicate your ages 0-19 are. I keep emphasizing the impact your teenage years especially would have on your entire life. Did you even know that what you make of the first quarter of your life (the first 25 years) is what would determine the failure or success of the rest of your life? How I hate the devil! It knows once it derails you in your teen age, you may never fulfill God’s divine agenda for your destiny except God decides to single you out for mercy and re-alignment. The best time to lay a solid foundation for a fulfilling and glorious future in all ramifications is your teens. How much you concentrate on your studies would determine your grades, qualifications and eventually your job and level of income. If you can’t be well-grounded spiritually, if you can’t be in control of your spirituality and destiny in your teens, there are chances you’ll be so badly manipulated such that you will make fatal mistakes you may never recover from. If you can’t set your priorities right in your teens and recognize what is wrong for you to do and shun it as much as you can, I’m afraid you’ll end up on a wrong path in life. And you know what? Any path God hasn’t designed for you will bring you nothing but struggle, pain and tears! Hmm…girls…girls…girls….

Unknown to your parents, when a lot of you should be exploiting your vivid imagination which is strongest, brightest and sharpest (in your teens) when you haven’t been bombarded by life’s challenges, you are busy falling in love up and down, high on boyfriends like cocaine!

    Dear teenage girl,

Believe me, if you keep having sleepless nights over your boyfriend instead of your studies, YOU HAVE A BIG PROBLEM! May your life not go anti-clockwise in Jesus name. I pray for you from the bottom of my heart that God will have mercy on you, arrest your hearts and set it right and stop you from hurting your destiny and your future. And may He set you free from the shackles of peer pressure. I love you my darlings!

    To be continued.

  • Girls…girls…girls, “time is going…time is going!”

DEAR Aunty Temi, I can’t stop having that “wow experience” whenever I read your articles. Thanks for your godly, inspirational and educative write-ups. May God’s blessings envelope you always.

    Pastor Ayuk

    Dear Madam Temilolu,

I am a staunch reader of your Girls Club articles. I am a teenage church coordinator in Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. Your articles are a Sunday-Sunday medicine for my teenagers. I read it to them every Sunday service and sometimes derive my inspiration for sermon from there. I have an unquenchable burden to help teenagers and youth in general. Please keep up the good work! God will reward you abundantly and enlarge your coasts.

    Pastor Oyebamiji

    Dear gentlemen,

I give glory to God for the wonderful privilege to be used by Him. God bless you sirs!

My darling, precious, glorious, dignified, world-famous and heavenly celebrated Nigerian sisters,

I decided to pause on our virginity series this weekend and discuss something I had planned earlier on in the year. This is the first Sunday in May. Four months of 2018 have gone with the wind. Another year is passing by! Believe me, time is going, time is going, time is going o! I thank God Big Brother Nigeria is over. Perhaps you’ll concentrate more on your destiny and self-development! What you do with your life today, tomorrow, next week, next month would determine your outcome-failure or success-average success or roaring/outstanding success. Little did you know there are some remarkable achievements God has planned for you this year. Sadly, you may never discover these plans or even get them to manifest unless you make a conscious effort. And I tell you; just one remarkable event is enough to open great doors of unusual opportunities and catapult you to the top no matter your background. However, most of you are badly distracted by the superficial failing to use the weapon that birthed creation-the spirit of God. The following are 10 things you must do this year to align with God’s divine agenda for your destiny and have the best of 2018.

    1. Start hearing from God

Now, this may appear very difficult because quite frankly, Christianity appears to have been watered down and you present generation of youth just love it! You want to live life in the “world” and not in the “word.” I was invited to preach in a youth church the other day and when I asked, no one could tell me what’s written in Zechariah 4:6 and Acts 1:8. I was aghast! If no one has told you, “you are doing yourself” according to Nigerian parlance! I keep telling you the best time to lay a rock-solid foundation for a fulfilled life is predominantly your adolescence! You have the stamina not only to fight your way up where you belong, your vivid imagination incubated in the Holy Spirit  could also take you to heights no one in Africa has ever attained! So many youth are going to end up choosing the wrong course of study this year, many others will end up with disasters as spouses because they didn’t hear from God and would rather depend on their pastors! This is a very serious matter! Gone are the days you should leave your life to time and chance or what your pastor says! To worsen matters, so many of you are so consumed by your role-models and just want to follow them every step of the way! Maybe not bad, but have you ever realized that you have what it takes to be 10 times greater than them? Have you ever considered improving on their own life skills, ignited with the fire of God? Did you know under the unction of the Holy Spirit, you know all things? 1 John 2:20 These includes solutions to all the challenges you have to encounter in your journey through life!

You should cultivate a habit of talking to God for direction every step of the way! We are talking about your destiny here and the stupid, bad devil loves to confuse great destinies and scuttle God’s great plans for them. Too many are more than 10 years behind their divine schedule because they decided to practice shallow Christianity. Too many are servants instead of masters and would remain so because they missed their timing, wonderful opportunities and could not detect their instrument of advancement/elevation as a result of spiritual dullness! May you not be frustrated and tired of life in your fifties when millions of youth should be wishing to be like you some day! But you need to start hearing from God!

Your depth in god, determines your altitude in life because He has the final say!

Military tackles Rep over Dapchi girls’ whereabouts

    Youths: act on lawmaker’s tip

The military has dismissed the claim that the 110 abducted Dapchi girls are in Yobe State.

A top officer, who pleaded for anonymity, last night described Hon Goni Bukar and other politicians/activists speaking on the whereabouts of the girls and the identity of their abductors as “a bunch of confusionists”.

“If they know where the girls are, they know what to do, instead of staying somewhere in Damaturu or Abuja and claiming that the girls are somewhere within Yobe State or anywhere else.

“This is how some of these politicians will stay in Abuja and will be granting interviews to you media people, claiming this and that, yet they are not anywhere near their constituencies.

“I have been in Maiduguri since Tuesday and all the nation’s top military and security brass have been in Maiduguri and Yobe axis, pursuing all the leads. The investigations are not only on-going, painstaking and multi-dimensional, but what I can tell you now is that we are not leaving any stone unturned.”

The source challenged Hon. Bukar, a member of the House of Representatives representing Yunusari/Gaidam Federal Constituency, to present himself before the military and security outfits for a journey to Bulabulin or any other place where the girls could have been taken by the terrorists. He said Nigerians should beware of people with such “wild claims”.

He also called on Nigerians to be patient with the military in their resolve to bring the girls back home, saying within the next few days, the nation would be briefed on the matter.

The Defence Headquarters at the weekend gave a hint of its battle to rescue the girls.

A statement signed by Acting Director of Defence Information Brig.-Gen John Agim said: “The Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin and the Service Chiefs with the Director General, Department of State Service met in Maiduguri yesterday, 1st March 2018 to review the ongoing operations in the Northeast, particularly the operation to get back the Dapchi girls.

“Even though the military is soliciting for useful information to facilitate its operations, the fishermen and farmers have not been singled out for this assistance; rather, all well-meaning members of the public are urged to provide useful information.”

NCWS urges governemnt to rescue Dapchi girls

The National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) has urged the Federal Government to do everything within its powers to rescue the abducted Dapchi school girls.

President of the society, Mrs. Gloria Shoda, made the call in a statement in Abuja. She said the abduction was a national embarrassment.

She advised President Muhammadu Buhari to act quickly to avoid a repeat of the 2014 Chibok girls’s saga.

110 students of Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State, were abducted by suspected insurgents on February 19.

The incident came four years after the same terror group invaded a female school in Chibok, Borno State, and took more than 200 girls into captivity.

More than 100 of the girls are still in captivity despite repeated promises by the government to ensure their release.

The statement reads: ”We are pained as mothers to see another group of our children being abducted by the sect. It is most unfortunate that it is happening again after the Chibok experience.

“We are yet to overcome the Chibok abduction saga, and having another is a very sad happening in our lives as mothers. How long will we continue to live in fear of our children being abducted by?

“We need the Federal Government and security agencies to do all they can in the shortest time possible to rescue our daughters. We won’t watch the sect destroy the lives of our daughters.”

She also urged the Federal and state governments to prioritise security of schools to stem further attacks.

Air Force steps up search for 110 kidnapped girls

    Minister: govt ’ll rescue them

The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) has deployed more assets in a day and night search for the 110 schoolgirls abducted last week by suspected Boko Haram men.

The Federal Government said yesterday that 110 pupils of the Government Girls’ Science Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi are unaccounted for.

Dapchi is the headquarters of Bursari Local Government Area of Yobe State. It is about 100 kilometres from Damaturu, the state capital.

The figure is higher than the 105  given by the parents of the pupils at the weekend.

The school was on February 19 attacked by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in military fatigues who took away the girls in 11 trucks.

Minister of Information, Culture and National Orientation Lai Mohammed, gave the latest figure yesterday after a meeting of the Federal Government delegation with Yobe State Governor Ibrahim Gaidam and other stakeholders on the Dapchi attack in Damaturu, the state capital.

Minister of Interior Abdulrahman Dambazau and Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole Maj.-Gen. Roger Nicholas were in the team.

A statement by NAF Director of Public Relations and Information Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya, urged Nigerians, including the rural dwellers who might have information that could lead to the location of the girls, to bring such information to the attention of the military authorities.

AVM Adesanya said : “The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has deployed additional air assets, including Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms, to the Northeast in a renewed effort at locating the missing Dapchi girls.

“Before now, following confirmation of reports that some of the girls were yet to be accounted for, the NAF had deployed some ISR platforms and helicopters to search for and possibly locate the missing girls as well as the rogue Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs).

“Although these search operations were conducted in a covert manner, for obvious reasons, the efforts did not yield the desired results.

“Accordingly, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, directed the immediate deployment of additional air assets and NAF personnel to the Northeast with the sole mission of conducting day and night searches for the missing girls.

“It is noteworthy that the renewed efforts at locating the girls are being conducted in close liaison with other surface security forces. While the NAF will spare no efforts at possibly locating the girls via its air operations,

“It also seizes this opportunity to call on anyone, especially the locals, who might have any information that could lead to the location of the girls to bring such information forward to NAF authorities or other relevant security agencies.”

Mohammed said efforts were being made to get the girls back. He explained that a situation room to give succor to the traumatized parents and guardians would be created. The deployment of policemen and Civil Defence men in schools has been decided by the government.

“Far reaching decision were taken here today: one, is that henceforth, the police and the Civil Defence corps will ensure that their presence is strong in every school to serve as a deterrent to the insurgents. Secondly, the security agencies and outfits are working together and synergising to ensure that these girls are recovered as fast as possible.

“We are working on very important things that would not be very impudent to talk about but we want to assure Nigerians that no stone will be left unturned in our determination to rescue these girls,” he said.

On how the figure of the abducted pupils was arrived at, Mohammed said it was based on the briefings from the principal of the college, Hajia Adama Abdulkarim, and the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Mohammed Lamin, that 906 students – out of who 110 have not been accounted

for – were in the school on the day of the attack.

He said the security agencies were working on many leads regarding the whereabouts of the girls.

‘’This is the second time in four days that a Federal Government delegation would visit Yobe State since the unfortunate incident. This is a measure of the seriousness with which we are addressing the issue. The security forces are leaving no stone unturned in their search for the girls.

‘’We are back here in Yobe as part of efforts to provide some succor to the parents of the girls, to let them know that they are not alone and also to reassure them that we will not rest until we have found the girls. We will carry the parents along on the efforts we are making,’’ Mohammed said.

Mohammed explained that his statement in Dapchi last Thursday that “Boko Haram is  looking for oxygen to breath” is at aimed at  like trivialising the abduction but rather to underscore the major success the government has achieved against the insurgents in the last few years.

He said: “If you look at what this government has done in containing the Boko Haram insurgency, you will agree with me that this is actually looking for attention. It is actually more like oxygen. Just one life is very important. We are not making it look trivial, but we are just saying that we must remain focused. It is a very huge task and we want to assure Nigerians that the days of Boko Haram is almost at an end.”

Apart from the governor, members of the state Executive Council, the principal and vice principal of the school, representatives of the parents of the missing girls and security

    agencies attended the meeting.

Mohammed said “No stone will be left unturned in our determination to rescue these girls,” the minister said.

He said the federal and state governments as well as parents would collaborate with security agents to rescue the students.

The minister reiterated that the insurgents were being contained and now looking for soft targets.

“Government will remain focused and resolute in the fight against insurgency to rescue the students and every Nigerian in their custody.”

Dambazau said the delegation embarked on the trip to get the facts right ‘’so that the approach to the solution can be correct’’.

‘’We must get back the girls and also ensure that this does not happen again,’’ he said.

  • Dapchi girls, enemy’s poison

    Dapchi girls, enemy’s poison

Nothing can justify the Dapchi girls story, not after we were irate that Goodluck Jonathan was dancing Azonto in Kano while the goons carted away our Chibok schoolgirls. It is not enough that the President does not deny it like Jonathan or calls it a disaster. That is no solace for the mothers and fathers and the community who threw stones as Governor Ibrahim Gaidam’s convoy whirred by.

Yobe Governor Gaidam may have displayed optimistic naivety with his first press statement celebrating the rescue of some girls. But the media was also naïve for using the word rescue when there was no narrative as to how it happened. Were there shootouts, casualties, arrests?

I accept Gaidam’s apology but not stories of our security forces who had no inkling of what was happening in a long stretch of land. No security forces saw trucks carrying many school girls, even if we accept that they came looking harmless into the town.

This is an era when the top men of Nigeria security forces are fighting turf wars in Abuja, while the president looks almost impotent.

Gaidam is taking responsibility for what belongs to the DSS and inspector general of police all under the presidency. The governor does not control the police or intelligence forces yet we call him the chief security officer. Hence some of our northern governors now back state police. Facts, Charles Dickens writes, is compelling.

Gaidam should save himself by naming those who misled his government. Or else he will bell another foe’s cat, or eat the enemy’s poison.

  • DapchiGirls : 110 girls still unaccounted for – Lai Mohammed

DapchiGirls : 110 girls still unaccounted for – Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said that the Federal Government in collaboration with Yobe State Government will set up a Situation room to coordinate all information and progress report on efforts geared towards the rescue of Dapchi School Girls.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed who was fielding questions from journalists in Damaturu after a closed door meeting with Governor. Ibrahim Gaidam and other stakeholders on the Dapchi attack, also informed that the Federal Government through the ministry of Interior would ensure the parents of the missing girls get sucour while the search and rescue lasts.

“Yes, the Federal Government will ensure the parents get succor. The Hon. Minister of Interior made it clear that we will bring succor to the parents but we need to work with the parents, security, state government and everybody. That is why a kind of situation room is being put together now that will comprise of traditional rulers, the parents, local people, representatives of the parents, and all the security agencies,” Alhaji Mohammed said.

The minister  also disclosed that the Federal government is very serious over the unfortunate incident at  Dapchi, saying, “The fact that the federal government has sent a delegation to Yobe State twice in less than four days underscores the importance the Federal Government  has attached to the unfortunate incident in Dapchi.”

“We have come here to meet with all the stakeholders, the security outfit, the governor, reps of the parents, Local government Chairman not just to get first hand information of what happen but also to get progress report of what is being done to rescue the girls,” he said.

Speaking on the actually number of girls that are yet to be accounted for and as to whether there was an abduction, the minister replied; “There is no doubt that the insurgents were in Dapchi and as at today, we cannot account for 110 girls. Because the total register of the students that came to school that day was 906 but as at today(Sunday,25 February, 2018)  about 110 of them cannot be accounted for and that is the situation.

“But far reaching decision were taken here today: one, is that henceforth, the police and the civil defense corp will ensure that their presence is strong in every school to serve as a deterrent to the insurgents, secondly, the security agencies and outfits are working together and synergizing to ensure that these girls are recovered as fast as possible.

“ We are working on very important things that would not be very impudent to talk about but we want to assure Nigerians that no stone will be left unturned in our determination to rescue these girls.

Mohammed explained that his earlier statement in Dapchi on Thursday thatBoko Haram is  looking for ‘oxygen to breath’ is not trivializing the abduction but rather to underscore the major success the government has achieved against the insurgents in the last few years.

“If we you look at what this government has done in containing the Boko Haram insurgency, you will agree with me that this is actually looking for attention. It is actually more like oxygen. Just one life is very important. We are not making it look trivia but we are just saying that we must remain focused. It is a very huge task and we want to assure Nigerians that the days of Boko Haram is almost at an end,” he explained.

  • Girls, sex for money is tantamount to perdition

DEAR Temilolu, We are not yet in heaven, we are still on earth with all its moral filth! Satan appears to have taken over the heart of most people in the world-yet, he’s daily losing out, thanks to such bold kingdom Amazons like you. Please keep it up! You will never know just how many souls your articles have helped to save from Satan and hell until we meet our dear Lord! Meanwhile, please expect fierce attacks, (even death-threats) from Satan’s camp- as long as you keep “troubling” them. Your stubborn resolve to stick with a most unpopular war-cry (SEXUAL PURITY) has made you a lethal battle axe in God’s hand! Jesus loves you and we’re praying for you.

    Rev. Musa, Lagos

    Dear Aunty Temilolu,

I am an 18-year-old virgin; I live with my parents but can’t proceed to the higher institution because of my parents’ financial constraints. Recently, I met a 52-year-old man who according to him finds me interesting and responsible. He’s always known my parents and he visited and told them he would like to assist them in ensuring I get good tertiary education by paying my fees till I’m done. He gave me money to register for an external exam and also organised private coaching for me, but recently he began asking to have an intimate relationship with me and I refused. He’s been gradually withdrawing his assistance and the last time I tried reaching him for the payment of my coaching, he told me it will cost me something – sexual intercourse with him. He said it’s a sacrifice I have to make. I feel so terrible and sometimes I just want to give in.

    M.

A million thanks to Rev. Musa and many others for their prayers. I find it a huge privilege to be used by God and treasure it with all my heart! Praise God!

My precious Miss M and my darling, precious, glorious, dignified, world-famous and heavenly celebrated Nigerian sisters,

I know a lot of you would have remained virgins and be sexually pure but for your financial incapacity and uncountable overtures from men. The world has gone so bad that an average man thinks every female lady can be bought with money so they slam their sexual overtures in your face and are so quick to move on to another lady if you refuse because quite frankly most girls would gladly exchange their bodies for money/favour.  What a destructive transaction! What a dreadful waste! What a shameful depraved world! Every sexual intercourse carries a heavy spiritual significance and the very first is even weightier and could practically determine how a life would go. It not only involves some blood-shed through the piercing of the hymen (it establishes a covenant), it opens up the gate of your life – your entire existence in the supernatural. Now, who are you opening it up to? Why are you opening it? For money? Money and enormous wealth of which you are a harbinger? ANY GIRL WHO BREAKS HER VIRGINITY FOR MONEY/FAVOUR SIGNS AWAY HER BIRTHRIGHT/GOODNESS TO THE DEVIL AND BECOMES HIS SLAVE! Why do you think prostitutes are stuck to their trade? Guess what, the devil hates to release whatever he’s stolen from you unless you put up a fight which could take so many years or snuff life out of you! Why go through that? May you not fall into ruin, destruction, perdition in Jesus name!

God will surprise you! He knows what you need right away! He is bound to send help because His word says He’s faithful to those who are faithful to Him!
