Girls, just one ungodly sexual intercourse can scuttle your destiny!

Dear Temi, I’m writing to commend you on your inspiring articles. I really do enjoy reading your articles. Indeed you are a woman of virtue. Bravo!

    Victor Imosemi

    Dear Temilolu,

I have gone through some of your articles. They are so nice, keep it up. You are doing a great job. Bravo my sister.

    Prof. O. Okhiai Ekpoma

    Dear Aunty Temilolu,

I am 18 years old, I have a boyfriend and I love him so much and he loves me because he usually does things that make me happy and also advises me when I go off the right path. I don’t want just a mere relationship with him; I want to be his life partner. I was a virgin before I met him. He asked me of sex and I gave it to him because he was not happy when I refused at first. Please what should I do because he’s asking for it again? I don’t want to have sex with him again and I don’t want to lose him. Please I need your advice because I don’t want to lose him or make him unhappy?

My darling, precious, glorious, dignified, world-famous and heavenly celebrated Nigerian sisters,

Why would you love any guy above yourself, above your glorious destiny? Why would you please a boy or man to the detriment of your present and your future? If only churches slammed the consequences of ungodly sex in your faces at every single service, the power in the word of God would pierce your hearts and open up your spiritual understanding by fire by force and envelope you with the spirit of God which would make you detest every form of sin. Alas, the crux of the message of most of today’s churches is hinged on prosperity forgetting that we are told to seek first the kingdom of God and have the world at our feet. How can anyone who is heavily yoked with the spirits and bondages of multiple, in fact uncountable, sexual partners make anything meaningful out of life and not go from trouble to trouble? How can one discover one’s life partner, destiny helper and help-mate when he/she is already confused and derailed because of an ungodly soul-tie? How then can such a person enjoy the prosperity nuggets he/she is weekly bombarded with in church if our common enemy – the devil – succeeds in joining him/her with his/her destiny destroyer? This is a very serious matter and one of the reasons for most of today’s divorces and scattered lives of both parents and the children of the failed marriage. Sadly, lives which were designed to be so beautiful become a nightmare, and dreams which had been built for years and reached a dizzying height crash suddenly into smithereens because of someone’s impatience, ungodliness, spiritual dullness etc. I pray this won’t be your portion in Jesus mighty name. AMEN!

The point is once a life is polluted or contaminated through sexual intercourse with the wrong person, I tell you it only takes the mercy of God for such destiny to re-align with God’s divine agenda. The more reason why you all should have a deep connection with God now coupled with a high spiritual connectivity. I tell you, your destiny would be too hot for the enemy to handle. This is not to say that those living holy lives cannot be tormented by the devil, of course they are major targets but once God comes first in every aspect of your life not caring whose ox is gored, as long as your emotions, motions and entire walk in life are scripture-controlled, even if you’ve been ensnared by the enemy, you will be pleasantly amazed when God arises for you because He’s committed to you!

At 18, where has my young lady reached in life for her to feel her boyfiend is God’s gift and the best that would come her way? How very naïve and myopic of her! Perhaps she’s not even in the university yet. We meet more and more people every day, and will always get carried away by different personalities. She has a few years to spend in the university where she would meet the good, the bad and the ugly; she is going to observe the NYSC and meet more exciting and interesting guys, yet the world at large is waiting for her – church, work, social functions, I could go on and on! My sweeties, what’s the rush? Do you know just that single act of sex could introduce uncontrollable lust into one’s life and before you are 22 you find out you’ve slept with 30 or more guys? How can you accommodate such rot in your destiny? Because your other friends are engaging in it and seem to be having a ball doesn’t mean you’ll have a ball as well neither will they get away with it. The earlier you realise that we all have different destinies which carry diverse weights spiritually, the better! Abo oro laa so f’omoluwabi…..

  • Four girls get N3m scholarship

    Four girls get N3m scholarship

The Mind Builders School has awarded a scholarship worth N3 million to four new pupils of its high school.

The amount would cover part tuition for six years of secondary education for Dawn Akinselure, Annabel Adesola, Tiwalade Oladunni and Tamilore Adegboyega.

The four bring to a total of 14 pupils enjoying full or partial scholarship worth about N6 million in the school.

Principal of the School, Mr Francis Fasuyi, said the awards were based on the exceptional performance of the students in the Entrance Examination for the 2016/2017 academic session.

He said that the aim of the scholarship scheme was to promote and reward excellence while providing a solid foundation for brilliant students.

Mind Builders School commenced operations as a Nursery and Primary School in January 1998.  The High School started 10 years later in September 2008.

Since then the school has opened annexes in Omole Phase 1, Ikeja CBD in Alausa and Omole Phase II.

The High School has produced four sets of graduates who are studying in reputable universities in Nigeria and abroad.

  • 41 trafficked Nigerian girls evacuated from Mali

The Federal Government on Monday evacuated 41 Nigerian girls who were trafficked to Mali for forced labour and sexual exploitation.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that six persons, alledged to be human traffickers, were also arrested and brought back to the country alongside their victims.

The Hercules C-130 military aircraft, with registration number NAF 913, conveying the returnees landed at 7:45 pm at the Airforce Base of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.

They were brought back by the Nigeria Air Force in collaboration with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant, Diaspora and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

They were received at the Hajj Camp area of the airport by officers of the NAPTIP and the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).

Addressing newsmen, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, commended the Chief Of Defence Staff, for facilitating the return of the victims to the country.

“We want to thank the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Sadique Abubakar, and the Chief of Defence Staff, Maj Gen. Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, for making the return of the girls possible, otherwise they would have still be there.

“The girls came back voluntarily. Some of these girls are between 15 and 17 years old who thought they were being taken to Europe for greener pastures but ended up with traumatic experiences in the hands of their traffickers and their madam.

“So they should not be ashamed of themselves because they are victims. We are going to rehabilitate them through skills acquisition programmes. I am therefore calling on non-governmental organisations to join us in this regard,” she said.

Dabiri-Erewa advised Nigerian parents to watch their children carefully and ensure that they don’t succumb to peer pressure and other activities that could exposed them to traffickers.

She confirmed that six of the alleged traffickers, who were arrested and brought back to the country, would be handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution.

According to her, the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration remains committed to the welfare of Nigerians all over the world, hence this intervention.

Also speaking, Mr Joseph Famakinwa, Zonal Commander, NAPTIP, South-West Zone, said 512 victims were returned to the zone in 2016.

Famakinwa said Nigerians needed to go back to the basics of bringing up their children uprightly and discouraging the ‘get rich quick’ syndrome.

He said poverty was not solely responsible for the increase in the human trafficking, stressing that other factors such as negligence, peer pressure and greed were also responsible.

“Once the girls have been rescued, we take them to our shelter houses where they are received by trained counselors who assist them in overcoming their trauma.

“After counseling, for those who don’t want to go back to school, we give them a vocational training of their choice and also assist them to set up their businesses.

“We also meet with their families to let them know that being victims of human trafficking is not the end of the world and advised them on how to render support to the girls,” Famakinwa said.

He said NAPTIP would reveal the identities of the suspected traffickers in due course and ensure that they are brought to justice. (NAN)

  • NGO empowers girls in four states with £7m

A Non-Governmental Organisation, Mercy Corps, has empowered female adolescents from four states with £7 million.

Country Director Iveta Ouvry, in a statement yesterday, said the initiative was funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and other donor partners, to create educational and economic opportunities for marginalised girls and young women in Nigeria, through its Educating Nigerian Girls in New Enterprises (ENGINE) initiative.

According to her, ENGINE, in the last four years, had established 1,050 centers for academic and entrepreneurial training across Abuja, Kano, Kaduna and Lagos States, where 14,030 out-of-school and 4,654 in-school girls are being supported.

Ouvry noted that Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) have been partners in the project to enable proper monitoring and evaluation of its progress.

The project is being extended by three years to cover other parts of the country.

Her words: “Since 2013, ENGINE has established over 1,050 learning spaces where young women meet for academic support and entrepreneurship training sessions over a nine-month period.

“The project supported 14,030 out-of-school girls and expands their businesses of choice; facilitated school retention for 4,654 girls who have maintained passing grades.

“Together, Nigeria Bottling Company (NBC) and DFID have invested £7 million in the implementation of ENGINE. The investment is part of the UK’s Girl-Education Challenge and NBC’s 5 by 20 initiative, which seeks to enable the economic empowerment of five million female entrepreneurs across the globe in its value chain by 2020.

“In partnership with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), 11,360 girls were registered for electronic identification cards and over 8,000 financially excluded girls now participate in the formal banking system.

“The second phase will begin with the extension of the project for another three years and extended to the south.”

Legal Public Affairs and Communication Director of NBC Sade Morgan said the firm partnered Mercy Corps by providing financial education, logistics trade assets and mentorship, to sustain the vision.

  • Girls, February 14 could derail your destiny!

MY darling, precious, glorious, dignified, world-famous and heavenly celebrated Nigerian sisters,

I can read your minds on this topic. Your thoughts are likely to be “Hmm…aunty Temi has come again o!” Yes, I have come again to help you out of what may have a huge negative influence on your life and set you on a ruinous path.

Valentine’s Day is usually celebrated by lovers all over the world on February 14. If you ask me, I’d say you have no business “carrying it on your head.” Right now, a lot of you are heart-broken that your greatest love or crush isn’t sparing you a thought for that day. Some of you are giddy with excitement at the gift you are getting from your lover. Some of you have stolen money from your parents to buy gifts, while some of you can’t wait to have your first kiss. Some of you can’t even wait to taste the forbidden fruit on that day and get deflowered! How I pity you, your parents and your future about to be stolen away by the devil because of some silly feeling. To worsen matters, a good number of private schools also encourage the celebration of Valentine’s Day. I read about a 5-year-old girl in Lagos whose request during her family morning devotion was that God should let a certain boy in her class choose her as his valentine! Can you imagine that? Encouraging crazy thoughts of love in a 5-year-old; if you ask me, that’s child abuse!

In your impressionable and teen age, you have so much energy, passion and gusto to do everything you fancy. You have a vivid imagination and an enormous power to carry out exploits. Now what happens when all this energy is channelled towards the wrong things? Do you know that your teen years are the years that will determine how your entire life would go? Do you know your childhood dreams of achieving extra-ordinary feats are seeds of greatness sowed into you by God? Do you know that the devil -our common enemy – targets bright stars in their teens and confuses them so they can never fulfil their glorious destiny? And guess what? We are all stars, distinguished with different sterling qualities to shine among billions in the world and leave our names in the foot prints of time. Even if you are facing so much hardship in life today because of your parent’s financial inadequacies, do you or your parents have the faintest idea of the magnitude of your greatness in future if only you can concentrate all of your energy on your innate skills and talents?

I’ve emphasised over and over again that having a romantic relationship in your teens is a huge distraction, in fact a satanic one. Your teen age is the most delicate and important in your entire life. It is the age when you should lay a solid foundation for the future academically, spiritually and psychologically and sadly a lot of parents are not helping matters. Those who wish to help matters are further frustrated by the madness of the social media. It is normal for you to have a crush in your early teens because you are becoming aware of the world around you and are generally curious about everything and also want to experiment but you shouldn’t allow it to grow. It would cause you sleepless nights, affect your grades and before you know it your heart gets broken and who knows what that may cause? Who knows if you are destined to shine as a medical doctor then your heart-break gives you low grades which pushes you to the Art class! Am I making sense? Just because a boy you fancy has threatened to dump you and “val” another girl in your class because you don’t want to have sex with him, you have finally decided to let him have his way this weekend so you won’t miss out on being his valentine! Yeepa!  Believe it or not, once that happens; your life can never be the same again. In fact, your life will be opened up to demonic invasion. Once a life has been contaminated or polluted by sexual intercourse with the wrong person, it can only take the special intervention and mercy of God to live a trouble-free life and fulfil destiny. What’s the rush anyway?

Why don’t you make the most of now, preserve your emotions, spirituality, purity, virtues, your energy and gather enormous power that would make you one of a very special kind in the world and then get enough wisdom and spiritual intelligence to marry the best man in the world and enjoy all the sex like there’s nothing else to do! The ball is in your court o!

  • Women, girls are two-thirds of trafficked victims, one-third children – UN

No less than two-thirds of trafficked victims are women and girls while one-third of the victims of human trafficking are children, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), said on Wednesday.

UNODC Executive Director, Yury Fedotov, disclosed this on Wednesday at the launch of the 2016 UNODC Global Report on Trafficking in Persons.

According to a new report from the UNODC, the vast majority of all human trafficking victims – some 71 per cent – are women, girls and children.

“Trafficking for sexual exploitation and for forced labour remain the most prominently detected forms.

“But victims are also being trafficked to be used as beggars, for forced or sham marriages, benefit fraud, or production of pornography,” Fedotov said.

According to him, the 2016 UNODC Global Report disaggregates data on the basis of gender and found that women and girls are usually trafficked for marriage and sexual slavery.

“Men and boys, however, are trafficked into exploitative labour, including work in the mining sector, as porters, soldiers, and slaves.

“Worldwide, 28 per cent of trafficking victims are children, but children account for 62 per cent in Sub-Saharan Africa and 64 per cent in Central America and the Caribbean.

“Sixty nine countries detected trafficking victims from Sub-Saharan Africa between 2012 and 2014.”

Fedotov emphasised the link between armed groups and human trafficking.

He noted how armed groups often engaged in trafficking in their territories of operation, coercing women and girls into marriages or sexual slavery.

According to him, armed groups also pressed men and boys to act as forced labour or combatants. (NAN)

  • Girls, here are reasons you should be a prayer warrior and a fasting machine! (II)

DEAR Temilolu, Your articles are guidance to a prosperous life. How I wish our girls would be helped to have access to your articles and greatly encouraged to follow the principles you lay down. I think you should one day put all your articles in a book and make it accessible to all. It would be of great help. Thank you.

    Abubakar Abdulmusawwir, Potiskum, Yobe State

    Dear Temilolu,

I love your write-ups. It inspires hope, energises faith and stirs up passion for righteousness. I look forward to more of it.

    Ubong E.Usoro, Uyo

    Dear Sister Temilolu,

May God continue to enrich you with wisdom and give you strength to keep up with your good work. I read your article on girls learning to pray for one hour. If we consider the kind of battle we are facing in this part of the world, one hour prayer is child’s play because when things are bad, you need prayers and when things are good, you still need prayers to sustain it. Prayer is the key.

    Mcmalu

    Dear Aunty Temilolu,

I am head-over-heels in love with my boss at the office. He has never made passes at me and he is even a married man. However, I can’t control my feelings for him. This has been going on since I started working with him two years ago. Eligible bachelors do come my way but they don’t make any sense. It’s so bad that I fantasise about him most of the day, at night I even pretend I am sleeping in his arms and I must confess I imagine him making love to me. I am so depressed because he doesn’t show any love interest in me and all of a sudden life doesn’t have a meaning because of this quagmire. Please help me ma.

    Anthonia, 24

    My darling Anthonia,

Can you imagine what you’ve lost in the last two years by falling hopelessly in love with a married man and expending all the energy you ought to have used to pursue your destiny and be on the look-out for your life partner? I may not be quick to blame you for your ignorance but I tell you a polluted mind and a life devoid of the spirit of God is the devil’s playground. Funny thing is you have enormous power over what you have allowed to grow and almost turn your life to a nightmare. Why would you want another woman’s husband so much such that you can’t sleep at night? You are clearly not yourself. This must be a satanic bondage designed to divert your attention from God’s wonderful plans for you. And like Jesus said “This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.” Mark 9:29 No one can help you as much as you can. You already have a weapon that can deal with the situation. Please stop allowing the devil waste your precious time. May the mighty power of God surge through your life in Jesus name! Amen.

My darling, precious, glorious, dignified, world-famous and heavenly celebrated Nigerian sisters,

Reasons you should be a prayer warrior (Contd.)

    1. Divine wisdom and directives

No matter the level of anointing the world’s greatest G.O. carries, your life’s journey and the battle of your destiny is strictly between you and God. Of course, your pastor can support you with prayers; however, he may never be able to give you the key to unlock your greatness or purpose in life. The key is more often than not God’s divine directive. Also, one divine instruction could save you and your entire generation from ruin that would have been caused by an evil diversion caused by your carelessness and too much dependence on others. Concentrate more on God, learn to carry Him on your head and let Him constantly talk to you! You will turn out a wonderful wonder- even you will be dazed. I know what I’m talking about o!

    1. Accurate dreams and visions

When you get yourself acquainted with God by praying ceaselessly and fasting purposefully, holiness becomes your lifestyle. This not only ignites your inner man, it daily increases your spiritual connectivity such that before long, by the time you wake up every morning, you already know what would happen to you in the course of the day. These revelations come naturally and if there’s any evil coming, you are quick to disperse it. Though the devil also manipulates through fake dreams and visions, with time, you can discern the real from the fake. You constantly get a lot of information not only about your future but about people around you, people far away from you, people you don’t even talk to, and in fact revelations of what would happen in the polity-WITHOUT ASKING. Amazing!

There’s so much more to come your way. I pray for you with all my heart; your life shall be filled with the knowledge of the Lord and his glory shall be revealed upon you in Jesus name. Amen!

    To be continued.

  • ICRC: Friends of IDPs, Chibok girls

ICRC: Friends of IDPs, Chibok girls

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is probably the best thing that has happened to internally displaced persons, reports DUKU JOEL

With the release of 21 of the abducted Chibok, it has become clear that the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is not just another global organisation trying to help people in danger.

The ICRC and the Swiss government facilitated the return of the girls but even before the freedom of the girls, the organisation had been working very hard to bring succour to people in very dangerous situations.

In 2016, the ICRC increased its humanitarian response for people in dire need in the North East. Of Nigeria and some other parts of the country where communal clashes and urban conflicts were visible. Of particular mention is the support and provision of food, shelter and essential household items. One other area of intervention carried out by the ICRC is increased access to clean water and medical care. It also strived to facilitate the restoration of missing or broken family ties caused as a result of the crisis in the region.

In Borno State for instance, ICRC together with the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) gained access to very difficult areas like Sabon Gari, Damboa, DIKwa, Monguno, Gamboru-Ngala, etc where they assisted residents and IDPs with food, Medicare and shelter where necessary.

An investigation into the activities of the ICRC in the North East by our correspondent revealed that the organisation is ranked very high amongst IDPs and many host communities of Borno and Yobe State apparently due to their effective humanitarian intervention during the Boko Haram crisis.

    Restoration of missing family ties

Over one thousand disunited families as a result of the Boko Haram insurgents have been re-united in one way or the other  through the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Nigerian Red Cross Society between January to August 2016 investigation has revealed.

According to a document obtained from the ICRC, nine children were flown from Dar es Salaam IDP camp in Chad back to Nigeria and reunited with their parents.  The organization has also helped reunite family members by facilitating contacts with each other using Red Cross Messages and free phone calls.

A total of 1,078 new tracing files for persons searching for missing relatives were opened by the ICRC and the NRCS, while a total of 479 Red Cross messages were also exchanged among separated family members.

The document also revealed that 899 free phone calls were made available by the Red Cross to persons who were separated from their families.

    Detention visits

ICRC have also embarked on visits of persons detained in connection with armed conflict and violence and provided support for the authorities on improving detention conditions of detainees. Under the period, a total of 21, 442 detainees in prisons, police and military detention facilities across Nigeria were visited by the ICRC, just as the water and hygiene facilities in those places were rehabilitated.

    Livelihood Support and Micro-finance Initiatives

This is a Programme that targeted returnees who wished to resume farming in their communities, while cash was also given to people retuning to areas that there were functional markets to help them rebuild their homes. Its aim was to assist 162,000 IDPs and vulnerable persons living in widow or female headed household. Out of the number, 41,000 persons in Yobe received cash to purchase priority commodities by the end of July 2016, just as 16,000 returnees from Adamawa and Southern Borno were given livelihood input grant as well.

A total of 248,037 returnees from North East and Middle Belt were availed with agriculturalinputs to resume farming again, while 69,624 IDPs in Borno and Yobe States including victims of urban violence in River State received cash to enable them purchase commodities of their choice.

Widows/female heads of families enjoyed serious assistance from the ICRC as 1000 of them were registered Borno State and were given cash for the running of their families. An additional 250 benefiting from the micro-finance initiative.

    Emergency Relief Assistance

One of the major concern of the ICRC was to get to the hard-to-reach areas there there was severe food shortage and hunger. With some of them missing out on the planting season for more than 3 years, it is not an exaggeration that the people will remain dependent  on  handouts aid from donor agencies until such a time that their crops are harvested. Worried by the plight of the ICRC provided food rations for three months to  892,040 IDPs in the North East, 319,516 IDPs both in the North East received essential household items with 51 NRCS, NEMA and SEMA were trained across Nigeria.

    Healthcare

Like any other sector of human existence in the north east, the  health sector  had its fair share of the Boko Haram attacks on the region. Hospitals and health facilities were either burnt down or abandoned by the insurgents. Doctors, nurses and other health and medical personable were either killed, while those that survive fled to safer places leading to complete break down of the system.

The ICRC in a quick response provided support to primary and mobile state health clinics in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa through the regular medical supplies, equipment supply and training of staff. Two ICRC surgical teams also provided cares the weapon wounded and IDPs in need of emergency surgical care in Maiduguri State Specialist Hospital.

A total of 308, 594 patients attended 14 ICRC supported centre for primary health care and 6 mobile clinics serving IDPs, returnees and residents in Borno, and Adamawa State.

A total of 10,499 children were in ICRC supported clinics in the North east, while 8,649 children who suffered from acute malnutrition were also treated at the ICRC supported clinics in Borno State.

  • Release of girls signals hope for Nigeria, says IBB

Release of girls signals hope for Nigeria, says IBB

Former military President Ibrahim Badamasi  Babangida yesterday described the release of the 21 girls as signaling a hope for the nation after moments of despair the abduction of the over 200 schools girls brought to the family, the country and the global community.

Gen Babangida, military president between 1985 and 1993, rejoiced with the families, people of Nigeria and the federal government over the release of  21of the  abducted Girls. He said their release is an indication that President Muhammadu Buhari’s government is committed to ensuring safe release of all the abducted girls.

“It is a thing of joy for the girls to have been reunited with their families after being taken away in such painfully and abrupt manner for  two and half years.”

Speaking at his residence in Minna yesterday, Gen. Babangida said; urged the federal government, security agents and other  partners to hasten negotiations to free the remaining girls and rehabilitate them from psychological trauma they might have encountered in the last two and half years.

The former military President reaffirmed his belief in the professional capability of the armed forces and other security agencies in ensuring that an end is put to the activities of the Boko Haram sect completely. He said the armed forces had the training and the professional background to end all forms of security threat to the nation such as   kidnappings, armed robbery, cattle rustling, farmers/herders clashes and other forms of vandalism.

He called on all Nigerians to offer assistance to the  released Chibok girls in order for them to overcome the mental, physical  and psychological trauma they must have gone through.

  • Chibok: CAN hails Fed Govt for rescuing girls

Chibok: CAN hails Fed Govt for rescuing girls

The national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) yesterday praised the Federal Government for rescuing 21 of the kidnapped Chibok school girls from the captivity of Boko Haram sect.

CAN President Rev Samson Ayokunle described the development as great and pleasant and assured the Federal Government of CAN’s prayers to ensure release of the remaining girls.

In a statement by his spokesman, Bayo Oladeji, he said: “It is one of the best news we have received this year. Let the government be aware that CAN is with it in prayer in getting the rest of the girls released and that they should leave no stone unturned in getting the rest that are still alive released,” he said.

The Christian body added: “CAN rejoices with parents of the released girls and we are still praying the parents of the remaining girls would soon be reunited with their own soon in Jesus name”.

CAN appealed to those holding the rest of the girl’s captive to release them “because the Lord is God of freedom, not captivity”.

Ayokunle also urged the Federal Government not to just release the girls back to their parents but to organise a special rehabilitation programme in collaboration with CAN, for their full re-integration into the society.

CAN said: “We ask the Federal Government not only to secure their freedom and release them to their parents but to set up a special rehabilitation programme in collaboration with CAN for the girls that would cover their full re-integration into the society”.

The leadership of the CAN explained that its involvement in the rehabilitation programme is imperative because “their innocence and beliefs might have been compromised by the satanic and strange indoctrination of their captors and this is where CAN will play a prominent role since they are our children.”

The statement called on the Federal Government to provide free education at all levels to every one of them as part of the integration programme and compensation for the unprecedented trauma and ordeals they suffered from their captors.

According to him, “securing their future through free education to tertiary level should be part of the integration programme. It is to compensate for the past failure of government in allowing the girls to be kidnapped and kept in incarceration for too long”.
