    Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, has taken to social media to extend birthday wishes to her love, actor IK Ogbonna, who recently celebrated his 40th birthday.

    In a heartfelt letter commemorating the occasion, Ini Edo praised Ogbonna for his exceptional qualities, describing him as having the purest of hearts and being great, kind, lovely, ancient, and smart.

    She expressed her wishes for all the happiness in the world for IK Ogbonna, accompanied by beautiful pictures of the two of them.

    Popular Nollywood actor, Ikechukwu Ogbonna has revealed that leaving his relationship life away from the public eye brings him more peace.

    The light-skinned Nollywood star said he does not pay attention to opinions and assumptions about him, rather he said he chooses to solely focus on his career, family and friends.

    IK, whose marriage to Sonia Morales crashed few years ago, made the comment in an interview with Sunday Scoop while talking about his life and how he is always open to love again.

    He said: “I do not care about the opinions of people that do not even know me. I face things that give me peace, such as my family, friends and career.

    “I am always open to love. Without love, we cannot live as human beings, but I do not like to discuss my private life, because I feel there should be a part of everyone’s life that should not be made public.

    “You can’t give all of yourself to the public. When it comes to one’s love life, there is more peace when one keeps it to oneself. My relationship status is left for those people close to me to know.”

    On what his New Year’s resolution is, the actor said he sees it as every other day and his own new year starts on his birthday.

    He said: “I am not big on New Year celebrations. For me, it is just like every other day. My new year starts on my birthday, when I mark a new age. Though I usually thank God for allowing me to see another year, I do not wait until the beginning of the year to set personal goals.”

    Famous Nollywood actor, IK Ogbonna, has strongly condemned bullying in the wake of the tragic death of MohBad.

    IK Ogbonna has taken a stand, urging Nigerians to reflect on their actions as they demand justice for the late Mohbad.

    He said: “It’s sad how fans fighting for justice for Mohbad are the same people bullying other celebrities online.

    “We are all against any form of bullying. But the same fans are out there on our timelines bullying every celebrity. Dear fans, a lot of celebrities are living in depression and you are partially responsible. Stop bullying. Stop fueling false stories. Be the light you seek. A Plea for Empathy.”

    IK Ogbonna reminded the public that behind the smiling faces of celebrities, there is a strong demon each of them is dealing with.

    He argued that some of his fellow celebrities were silently grappling with depression and anxiety, and online bullying only exacerbated their struggles.

    Ogbonna called for a more empathetic approach, stating that the fight for justice should not come at the expense of someone else’s mental well-being.

    Actor Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IK Ogbonna has claimed he has never asked a lady out in his life.

    Ogbonna was married to Sonia Morales before their union hit the rock in 2019.

    Speaking in the latest episode of the Petite Talks podcast, the actor said most of his relationships often started as friendships.

    He said: “As funny as it may sound, I’ve never toasted a girl in my life. I don’t know how to do it. It’s not about being a fine boy.

    “I think I grew up around people. I had so many female friends at the same time. And most of my relationships always started from friendship. We are friends, we start liking ourselves. It entered relationships.”

  • Defamation of character: Actor Ik Ogbonna threatens Vlogger with law suit

    Nigerian actor, Ik Ogbonna is set to sue a Nigerian video blogger based in the United States, Joyce Boakye also known as Bold Pink (on instagram) for defamation of character.

    Ogbonna, through his lawyers is demanding an apology from the vlogger after her comments on his sexuality set social media on “fire” a few days ago.

    In her video, the vlogger accused Ogbonna of being gay and charged him to “please kindly come out of the closet.

    “You married your beautiful wife kept her in the house but you’re still looking for Nollywood actors (male) to sleep with . You cannot be deceiving yourself. We know you’re gay, you are gay.”

    Ogbonna who is married to Sonia Lareinaa with whom he has a son, had earlier announced to his fans that his marriage was intact following rumours of their separation.

    Ogbonna, 35, took to his social media platforms to address the allegations.

    He posted a legal document with the title, “RE: DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER OF MR IKECHUKWU OGBONNA : NOTICE TO RETRACT AND TENDER UNQUALIFIED APOLOGY.”

    The post came with an insightful caption which read, “A free platform created for promotion and marketing has given people cheap voices to speak cheaply about people’s hard earned integrity.

    “Most of those who want us to come out with “who we truly are”…as they claim, have themselves nothing to show to anyone.

    “The noises are mostly made and heard from the empty barrels. We give attention to what is of value not what takes our attention from what is of no value.

    “And very soon, society must weed out the tares that prevent the wheat from standing out.” If u come with allegations pls come out of the closet with prove to ur allegation,” he wrote.

    The document proceeded to state that if the vlogger failed to tender an apology within 7 days, a lawsuit would be filed against her at the Lagos State High Court.

    The vlogger is yet to comment on the legal document that was issued her.

    Actor IK Ogbonna has revealed that there might be a second part to comic movie ‘Excess Luggage’ which was first released in 2017.

    Uploading a scene in the movie on his Instagram page, the actor wrote: “Excess luggage script 40%…loading. Ready for a part 2? Plus would make sure we cast a few new faces.”

    Excess Luggage tells the story of how an illiterate village man and his family were headed to a church summit when their car breaks down. They have no choice but to stay with an unlikely and unfriendly but wealthy and sophisticated family member.

    The film by Damijo Efe Young is co-produced by IK Ogbonna and Nikky Ufondu and it stars Mike Ezuruonye, I.K Ogbonna, Queen Nwokoye, Nikky Ufondu, Denrele Edun, Lisa Omorodion and others.

     Alex Unusual and Ifu Ennada, BBNaija `Double Wahala” 2018 stars led some of their fans to register for Permanent Voters Card (PVC) in Lagos on Wednesday.

    The duo selected ten fans to accompany them on the ‘PVC Date’ which featured registration for PVC and a hangout afterwards.

    In a joint post on their Instagram pages @alex_unusual and @ifuennada, they wrote, “Your PVC is your choice. Make sure you get it.

    “There are several people we could vote into power, when we get to that bridge, we would cross it.

    “If this is successful, I will do more ‘PVC Dates’ but please don’t wait for me to get to your area.

    “Go out and get yours because registration is closing very soon,” they said.

    Ifu Ennada in another post thanked the fans who came out for the registration exercise after sharing a video of the ‘PVC Date’.

    EARLIER in the week, On Air Personality, IK Ogbonna, drew the ire of singer, and Whitenicious Entrepreneur, Dencia, for allegedly buying fake luxury goods for his wife, Sonia Morales,  and posting their pictures on his social media page. As Dencia and her affiliate put it, “You are what you wear. . . Spot the Paris logo, authentic boxes don’t have Louboutin written so low. Authentic boxes don’t bend easily. But Happy Birthday.”

    In another post, she said: “You are what you wear. Authentic channel purses are durable. A new Channel, even a 2 year old Channel does not fold on the sides. But Happy Birthday. # Hermes # Versace”

    Recall that IK claimed to have splurged three million naira in a shopping spree for his wife who added a year on January 19. The loving father and husband reportedly bought Channel bags, and Christian Louboutin shoes as birthday presents. In the wake of that, Sonia deleted the pictures from her page.

    IT is no longer news that Nollywood actor cum model, IK Ogbonna, and his Colombian girlfriend, Sonia Morales, welcomed a baby boy on Saturday June 20, 2015.
