    Handling pressure that comes with fame is difficult – Ilebaye

    Big Brother Naija All-Stars winner, Ilebaye Precious Odiniya, has revealed how difficult it is to handle pressure from fame.

    She admitted that she is finding it hard to adjust to her newfound fame as she is unsure of how to handle the pressure that comes with it.

    Ilebaye acknowledged that she made the decision to mentally prepare herself for fame before returning to the BBNaija house.

    The 22-year-old revealed this in an interview with The Punch.

    Ilebaye said: “I don’t really know how to handle the pressure that comes with fame. Before I went into the BBN house, I told myself that l had to be mentally ready for everything that would come.

    “I just have to keep things on the low and be able to adapt to whatever comes my way. Besides, I see anything that comes my way as what is expected. It is left for me to overlook things, including clashes and backbiting, and just focus on my future.”

    “Fame has done some things for me. It has given me a family; I have a lot of fans. There are many people who love me for who I am. It has brought me good luck and so many opportunities. It has basically made me the star I am today.”

    Speaking on the perception people have about her pretending to be from a humble background, the self-styled Gen Z baddie said; “Regarding the notion held by some people that I am from a rich home but was behaving as if I was from a modest background in the show, I will say that I was not being humble. I was just being myself in the house; that’s all.”

    Big Brother Naija All-Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, has fired back at critics who question her suitability for the winner’s title.

    She challenged those suggesting that her character isn’t “befitting” of a reality show winner of that magnitude to try achieving the feat themselves if they think it’s easy.

    She boasted that the feat she achieved wasn’t an easy one, urging her critics not to speak “when winners are speaking.”

    In a recent Instagram live session with fans, Ilebaye said in Pidgin: “People will say, ‘See una winner.’ If e easy, try am. If it is easy to be a winner, try it.

    “Do you know what it means to be an All-Star winner? If e easy, oya, do am. E no easy jare. Please, when winners are speaking, don’t speak.”

    The Nation reported that Ilebaye won the All-Stars season with a whopping sum of N120 million grand prize on October 1st.

    The self-styled ‘Gen Z’ baddie since winning the reality show has been subjected to a lot of criticism on social media for her style of dressing.

    Big Brother Naija All-Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, subtly responded to fellow housemate and 2nd runner-up, CeeC, who expressed displeasure over Ilebaye’s victory in the reality show.

    Ceec had a few days ago said she needed to consult a therapist as Ilebaye’s victory got her depressed.

    Ilebaye, on social media, reinforced that she is the sole winner of the BBNaija All-Stars edition.

    Recall that Baye has doubted the validity of her victory and has frequently been accused of playing the “victim card” to win over the public’s sympathy.

    She categorically denies these charges, blaming her accomplishments on timing and fate and refuting any premeditated attempt to portray herself as a victim.

    Ilebaye Odiniya, winner of the All-Stars BBNaija season was spotted dancing in excitement after fans surprised her with a sum of N3.5 million cheque and other gifts.

    This comes 30 days after getting crowned winner of Season 8 of the show, alongside a cash prize of N120 million amongst other items.

    The Nation reported on October 1 that the 22-year-old Ilebaye emerged as the victor, securing the title.

    Her victory came at the expense of Mercy Eke, who took the second position.

    Reality star, Doyin David, has spoken up regarding her sweet and bitter treatment towards her friend Ilebaye in the All-Stars season.

    In a comment via the Snapchat platform, a fan confronted the reality star for doing too much on the show and how she threw Ilebaye under the bus every time they were not on good terms.

    In her defence, Doyin stated that she lashed at her friend on the show many times because Ilebaye enjoyed associating with the people she was saving her from.

    Winner of BBNaija All-stars, Ilebaye, has explained what her coping mechanism was on the show following her regular brouhaha with housemates.

    In a recent interview with Chude, Ilebaye candidly discussed how she felt after the incident with Ike in the BBNaija house.

    The 22-year-old model expressed deep sadness and a sense of unworthiness.

    She questioned why she deserved such treatment and wished for better communication.

    She said: “I felt sad. I felt low. I felt like what did I do to deserve this? Like any human would literally be hurt. Even if I’ve hurt you, I’ve said something bad about you, you should have just come to me and told me Ilebaye, this is bad. You should have just done something that I would know yes, I’m wrong. But not throwing my clothes. I just felt like god, just open the ground, let me just enter inside. Cuz I was literally so sad. My energy just went so low.”

    She shared that she would often retreat to her bed, allowing herself to cry and release her emotions. Sometimes, she sought solace in the privacy of the toilet, where she could freely express her feelings through tears. Prayer also played a role in her recovery process, providing her with comfort and strength.

    In her words: “I just go to bed, and sleep, and cry. I either go into the toilet and cry out my mind, or I go to bed, pray, cry, and sleep.”

    Despite the challenging experience in the house, Ilebaye and Ike have managed to reconcile outside the house.

    Ilebaye revealed that she had a conversation with Ike, addressing the incident directly. Ike offered his sincere apologies, acknowledging his wrongdoing.

    Since then, their relationship has improved, and they have been able to engage in friendly conversations.

    Ilebaye emphasised that she holds no grudges and is willing to move forward.

    She said: “But I and Ike are cool now. Once outside the house I talked to him, I asked him about it, and he apologized. I came out and he said “Congratulations, I am so sorry for what happened in the house”. We even gist. If I see him, we just talk.”

    In a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Ilebaye attributed her virginity to her upbringing.

    Ilebaye: “My dad is strict sha. But I don’t know.”

    Speaking at a recent ‘meet and greet’ session in honour of BBNaija ‘All-Stars’ housemates, hosted in Lagos by the digital financial services provider, Moniepoint Inc, Ilebaye said life has been stressful both online and offline.

    According to the self-styled GenZ Baddie, ‘it’s been all love and light from her fans, and she is working on creating a better version of herself.

    The former housemates also shared experiences of using the services of Moniepoint on their personal and business banking platforms since leaving the show.

    Big Brother Naija All-Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya has spoken on the rumours of speaking to cowrie shells.

    She said it was her only connection to her late brother.

    Ilebaye brought in cowrie shells to Biggie’s house 

    The Gen Z baddie made this known during an appearance on Pulse’s One On One, hosted by another reality star, Christy O.

    Ilebaye revealed that she carries and speaks with the cowrie shells as a way to keep the memory of her late brother alive.

    Christy O asked: “There is a claim online where CeeC was saying that you had cowries that you were talking to. Can you tell me more about it?” 

    In response, Ilebaye said:

    “I had something precious to me. Because obviously, you are supposed to have something precious when you’re doing something that you miss at home.

    “And the cowries were for my late brother. It has been with me and even the baton. I have a baton on him too. I didn’t know where to keep it. I was just like, Oh! Let me hold something strong.

    “It just helps me feel like he is around. He is still with me.”
