He said, “He needs to be careful – everyone needs to be careful – and know the right way,” said the Portuguese Silva.

“Everybody at the club knows the rules and their obligations as a professional.”

“What we are talking about is one situation in September,” added Silva, who refused to reveal whether Watford would discipline the Nigerian striker.

One would hope that Success who joined the Hornets for a then club-record fee of £12.5m from Spanish club Granada in August 2016, signing a five-year contract would adhere to the warning as his future with the club maybe put on the line.

Isaac success has yet to future for the Premier League side this season. He managed just one goal from 19 games last season, netting against Bournemouth over a year ago. However, he now faces eight weeks out with injury following a knee injury sustained in training.

“We expect six to eight weeks,” said Silva. “It’s a knee injury, a problem he had in one session here.”

“It was a normal situation and looked nothing special at that moment but after examinations, the problem is bigger and now we need to wait for him.”

Success’ sole appearance for Watford this season came as a second-half substitute in their 3-2 defeat by Bristol City in the Carabao Cup in August.

  • NO IMPACT FROM ISAAC SUCCESS

    NO IMPACT FROM ISAAC SUCCESS

    • Despite playing 90mins

SUPER EAGLES forward, Isaac Success failed to inspire Watford as they suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat against in-form Tottenham at White Hart Lane yesterday.

The 21-year-old was in action for 90 minutes for the Hornets and failed to even muster a shot on target.

Watford had won their previous two games heading into the clash against Spurs and manager, Walter Mazzarri was hoping his wards will be able to break their 32-year hoodoo of not getting a win over Tottenham at home.

But it was Spurs that made it 11 consecutive home wins in the premier league courtesy a brace from South Korea international, Son Heung-min and a goal each from Dele Alli and Eric Dier.

A major highlight for Success in the game was when he had a penalty shout but waved away in the first half by the referee. Also, he bizarrely over crossed a ball when he had space and time to pick out a teammate, and in the second half he bungled Dele Alli to the turf but escaped a yellow card.

The presence of relatively young and hungry players in the national team according to him is the rational for his confidence adding that the new crop of players are desperate not only to return Nigeria to winning ways but also leave a mark on the sand of history.

‘These young boys, and I am one of them, they are really hungry to do something. We want to do something different, something the fans have not seen in a long time. Success is guaranteed because now they have Success in the team,” he told BBC.

The 21 year old who finally had the opportunity make a debut for the senior national team in the friendly against Senegal last Thursday, described his debut as a dream come true even as he vowed to put in 100% effort if ultimately selected for the qualifiers leading to the 2018 World Cup in Russia

‘It was a dream come true for me. I thank God for being here representing my country. The energy is there, the mindset of bringing success to Nigeria and to Africa at the World Cup is there. I am happy now, I am fit, I am very sharp now and looking forward to the opportunity again,” he enthused the former Granada ace.

Following the last minute cancellation of second friendly match against Burkina Faso, the Eagles are hoping to play against French Island of Corsica at a date to be announced. Should the proposed friendly take place, Nigeria would be the

the fourth country to play Corsica which is not affiliated with World Soccer ruling body (FIFA). Prior to this time other countries that have paid the team include France, Cameroon and Congo.

Watford boss scores Isaac Success ‘excellent’

Watford manager, Walter Mazzarri has described Isaac Success as “excellent” after the Nigerian striker scored his first Premier League goal to salvage a point at home against Bournemouth.

Seven minutes after coming off the bench, the 20-year-old Success, signed from La Liga side Granada CF in the summer, rose high to connect home a free kick to ensure Watford a share of the spoils on Saturday.

“He is an excellent player and he has showed it in the past, not only today,” the Italian coach told the Watford official website.

    …as Moses shines for Chelsea

ISAAC Success scored his first goal in England on Saturday as he helped Watford rescue a point in the 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League.

The Nigeria striker who has yet to start a league game for the Hornets since his move from Spanish club, Granada CF was again overlooked from the get go with the Watford manager, Walter Mazzari electing to go with Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney as his preferred choices upfront.

Mazzari eventually withdrew Ighalo and threw Success into the fray just before the hour and the young Nigerian forward did not disappoint. He struck in the 65th minute, seven minutes after his introduction to tie the scores at 2-2 and eventually help his side claim a share of the spoils.

Success’ finish was down to pure predatory instincts and clever movement as he headed home Jose Holebas’ excellent delivery from a free kick.

It was only Success’s fourth league appearance of the season which has seen him rack up a measly 66 minutes under his belt.

The 20-year-old was only recently called up by Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr for this month’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Ndola.

Meanwhile, Victor Moses scooped the man of the match award in his first start for Chelsea in three years and he said afterwards he wanted more action with ‘The Blues’. I hope there will be more games for me to play in the future for Chelsea because they are a huge club, one of the best in the world,” said the Nigeria forward after Chelsea won 2-0 at Hull City.

The arrival of Italian manager Antonio Conte this season has given Victor Moses a new lease of life Stamford Bridge after he has been shipped out on loan to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United in the last three seasons.

The Nigeria star also said the win at Hull City was very satisfying for all those involved with Chelsea: “We are delighted with the three points, the club as well as the fans. We are pleased,” he said.

The attacker’s application was granted by the United Kingdom authorities on  July 13, but he picked up the document on Tuesday, July 26.

It was a foregone conclusion that Isaac Success will be granted a work visa though he is yet to make his debut for the senior national team of Nigeria.
