Itel mobile unveils A31 affordable smartphone for all

Itel Mobile has launched the 4th iteration smartphone under the A- series (Android for Everyone), as part of efforts in focusing on a more consumer driven market.

The Android for Everyone Series are smartphones with decent specs that come at a very budget-friendly price. According to the tech company in a statement to newsmen, the Itel A31 which is available for N21,500 is equipped with an improved 8.0MP rear camera with a LED flash, which makes it stand out among its peers. “Photos taken by the phone are clearer and vivid.

“The device also comes with powerful built-in camera functions like beauty mode and watermarks that can help you take attractive shots.

“In the world where video consumption is on the increase, the Itel A31 has been built with a 5.0” IPS screen for an unparalleled multimedia experience which provides 178° wide viewing angle.

“Built with comfortability in mind, The ergonomic curved back design gives users a comfortable grip and can be operated with one hand.

“Its excellent brushed and streamline design, gives the A31 a premium and fashionable look. The phone comes in three fashionable colours of Champagne Gold, Bright Black and Carbon Blue and also has a 1GB RAM with 8GB ROM which allows users to store more pictures, songs and other things they like,“ the statement read in part.

Similarly, the smartphone manufacturer noted that the device is powered by the latest Android™ 7.0 Nougat, which will bring users a smooth and smarter experience, to ensure users stay up to date with latest apps and key functionalities.

Addressing Journalists, the marketing communications manager for itel mobile, Oke Umurhohwo said the A31 smartphone target users who are very price conscious but still want a decent camera smartphone. “The smartphone is now available in all partner retail stores across the country for N21,500 naira,“ he said.

Itel mobile donates school bags, learning materials to schools

Former South-African President and anti-apartheid activist, Nelson Mandela in his famous quote said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

Believing in this philosophical quote, Itel Mobile, a technology company, yesterday, advanced the educational careers of no fewer than 250 school children in the popular ghetto-city, Ajegunle, donating school bags, pens and maths-sets to pupils of ABQ Nursery & Primary and Adewura Nursery and Primary Schools in Ajegunle, Lagos.

The Marketing Manager, Mr. Abel Fluo, while speaking to journalists stated that the company felt that children in remote areas needed help, adding that they saw the level of education in Ajeromi-Ifelodun community and decided to visit the area in order to develop the schools.

He said, “Education is important because it affects people’s values. That is why we are focusing our Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, on the education sector. We do not sell phones alone globally and in Nigeria. Wewant to assist in the development of education in Nigeria.”

The Digital Marketing Manager, Mr Oke Umurhohwo, said, “Itel Mobile Cares Initiative tagged “Love Always On” was a CSR initiative by Itel with the sole aim of giving back to the society.

“We identified education as a key part for the development of any country and decided to develop our CSR policy in that direction to help the educational sector in any way we can. From our observations and survey, many schools in the rural and low income communities have students who lack basic school tools like books, pens, bags, school shoes etc. That gave us the impetus to provide these tools to as many pupils as we can.”

Responding, the Headmaster, ABQ, Mr. Quadri Quasim lauded Itel for its kind gesture to the school, by the donation of the bags.

Quasim said: “There are numerous schools in Ajegunle, but I’m indeed glad that Itel decided to come to ABQ. ABQ brought education to this community 18years ago, when there was nothing like education, and parents as well as their children couldn’t speak English.”

He, however, urged other companies and organisations to toe the path of Itel though the donation of learning materials to school children in rural and slum communities.
