    4. Alert others: Use any available means to signal for help. This could include blowing a whistle, using a flashlight, or waving bright-colored clothing to attract attention.

    5. Get into the survival position: If you find yourself in the water, assume the survival position by crossing your arms tightly against your chest and drawing your knees up towards your chest. This position helps retain body heat and reduces heat loss.

    6. Stay hydrated: If stranded at sea or in the water for an extended period, it’s essential to stay hydrated. Avoid drinking seawater as it can worsen dehydration. If possible, try to ration any available drinking water.

    7. Conserve energy: In a survival situation, it’s crucial to conserve your energy. Avoid unnecessary movements and only swim or exert yourself when necessary. Stay as still as possible to minimize heat loss and fatigue.

    8. Stay positive and hopeful: Maintaining a positive mindset can help you stay focused and increase your chances of survival. Believe in your ability to endure and keep your spirits up, as rescue may be on its way.

It’s important to note that these tips are general guidelines and specific actions may vary depending on the circumstances. If possible, it is highly recommended to undergo proper boating safety training to enhance your knowledge and skills in handling emergency situations.
