Aseyin wades into KWAM 1, former drummer’s feud

The Aseyin of Iseyinland Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola has intervened in the lingering misunderstanding between Fuji icon, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (KWAM 1) and his erstwhile lead drummer, Ayankunle Ayanlowo.

The monarch urged the duo to sheath their swords to allow amicable reconciliation.

Ayankunle accused the fuji musician of poor welfare package for band members which KWAM 1 denied.

Speaking at his place when Ayankunle paid him a visit upon invitation over the issue, Aseyin hinted that because Wasiu Ayinde and Ayankunle Ayanlowo have strong connections with Iseyin, one being an in-law while the other is a son of Ado-Awaye, a community under Iseyin local government, he had no choice than to wade into the crisis and seek peaceful settlement.

He said: “I have heard what Kunle said about his experience at his work and also listened to the video made by his former boss, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde.

“All I will say is that both of them should allow peace to reign. I told Kunle to stop posting videos, abusing his former boss and has started efforts to reach out to K1 to speak with him and ask for peaceful reconciliation.

“I have read and listened to many angles to the issue from individuals taking sides but as a monarch, I will want peace and not for this to continue.

Ayanlowo said he had been asked not to do make any confrontational video or grant interviews anymore, promising to abide with the instructions.

He added that he would rather start to appreciate and pray for those who rallied round him globally when the issue broke out because they were his backbone.

“They said I should not attack anyone anymore through social media or live interviews and I have agreed with the monarch.

“I just want to start by appreciating all those that stood with me during my travail till now, those that heard my voice and have supported me morally, spiritually and financially.

“I pray that the Lord Almighty will not abandon them all, their children will never suffer in their effort to seek for survival,” Ayanlowo prayed.

KWAM1 also didn’t want to wrestle with his erstwhile drummer, who alleged that while they were on foreign trips, the Fuji maestro collected their passports and would not return them even when they arrive in Nigeria.

Sources said that KWAM 1 is just protecting his integrity and brand as he did not want a situation where any member of his band wouldl abscond and it would be on his record that his band boys absconded during a foreign trip which will hinder future visa facilitation.

Though KWAM 1 has not personally addressed the allegations, some of his band boys have openly said they are not owed wages and some even said through the Fuji maestro they built their homes in Lagos.
