    I recorded my first song at 12 – Magixx

    Singer Alexander Adelabu popularly known as Magixx has stated how love for music saw him record his first song at 12.  

    In a recent interview on The Beat 99.9 FM, the singer spoke about his musical career and how he started as a rapper in university, mentioning how self belief helped him to navigate his love for music.

    He said: “I love listening to music generally, I just really love listening to music and …from when I was like ten, eleven in fact I recorded my first song when I was like twelve; twelve, eleven I already had my first song.”

    Magixx further added that he didn’t view making music a talent until he recorded a song and people were complimenting the work.

    I don’t believe in destiny, says Magixx

    Fast rising Nigerian singer, Alexander Adelabu aka Magixx, has said he doesn’t believe in destiny, rather he believes in hard work.

    The ‘All over’ crooner made the assertion in an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos.

    He said: “I believe in hard work. I’m not one of those people who believe in destiny. I don’t believe in destiny. I believe anything you want you can get.

    “As a human being, once you set your mind to something… I feel like our intuition is our God. When you can believe in something so delusionally. If you can think about it so much like I’m going to do this thing tomorrow, as crazy as that might sound, you can actually do it. That’s how powerful your mind is.”

    The Mavin Records artist also disclosed during the interview that his latest song ‘Maria’ was inspired by a true life story.

    He said the song is about a lady who turned down his advances many years ago.

    He said even though the chase was short lived, the feeling of rejection has proven to be lifelong.
