    Actress and filmmaker, Mercy Aigbe, has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her fans and supporters following the success of her second cinema movie, “Thinline”.

    In an Instagram post, Mercy reflected on her journey and thanked her industry colleagues, husband, distributors, and fans for their unwavering support.

    Mercy also acknowledged the challenges she faced this year, including a recent house fire outbreak that left her devastated.

    However, she expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from her fans during that difficult time.

    Mercy also expressed her gratitude to the cinemas supporting her project and wished them continued success.

    She captioned the video: “Reflecting on the past, teasing the future, and thanking my amazing industry colleagues, my darling husband (The Gen Z Alhaji), my able distributors @cinemaxng, and my lovely mercified army. Thank you all for your amazing support and for holding me down when it mattered.

    Actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe has announced her latest movie “Thinline”, has grossed N100 million at the box office.

    Aigbe took to Instagram to express her gratitude to God and supporters, who have contributed to the film’s success. 

    She acknowledged the challenges faced during the production of the movie but is appreciative of the remarkable success.

    The actress encouraged fans who have not yet seen the movie to experience it in cinemas, promising a unique cinematic experience. 

    She wrote: “Elede mi a de Oyo, Ariwo e lo ma po. Against all Odds, Against all the challenges, my amazing movie THINLINE is still thriving and standing Tall.

    “My heart is full of gratitude to God and to everyone who have supported this journey thus far , i am so so grateful.

    Actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe has shared a personal story about one of the challenging moments she faced while filming her latest cinema movie, Thinline.

    In a post on her Instagram page, Mercy revealed that she woke up one morning on set with severely swollen eyes, which made it impossible for her to film.

    She described the pain as excruciating and had to be hospitalised, where doctors diagnosed her with a severe infection.

    Despite the challenges she faced, Mercy expressed her gratitude to God, stating that she is still standing and will continue to push forward.

    She also thanked everyone who has watched Thinline in cinemas and appreciated the positive reviews.

    Mercy emphasised that the movie required a lot of hard work, pain, blood, and sweat, but she is proud of the final product.

    “Throwback to the set of THINLINE. I woke up one morning on set, and my eyes were like this! We couldn’t film; we had to break set, and the pain that came with this was excruciating. I was hospitalized, in fact, it was a whole lot of challenges! Doctors said it was a severe infection. It was a whole lot! A whole lot!!!!

    “It’s been an experience on this journey with THINLINE, a whole lot of challenges, a whole lot, but in all, I still GIVE GOD THE GLORY. In all these i am still standing and will keep pushing.

    “Someone actually said to me that Aunty Mercy all these challenges is it in anyway related to the Story you told in THINLINE and i said i don’t think so oh ! This movie has taken a lot of Hard Work, Pains, Blood and Sweat!

    “Big Thank You to everyone who has seen THINLINE in cinemas and i am loving the reviews so far! If you are yet to see it make it a date with this amazing movie you will love it !!!”.

    She believed their collaboration will help build a successful production empire.

    “One of the reasons I married him is that we’re both in the same industry. Together, we’re building a production empire. I just felt I needed someone in the industry to collaborate with, and it’s a good thing that he understands it too. Combining our strengths, the future looks promising,” she said.

    Their joint effort proved successful with her 2023 cinema debut, Ada Omo Daddy, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback.

    She said she initially felt nervous due to competition but was confident in her product.

    “The feedback was amazing. I was a bit nervous as it was my first cinema debut, and there was heavy competition from established names in the cinema sector. But I was confident because I knew I had a sellable product”, she said.

    She emphasised her intention to expand her reach across various platforms to maximise her earning potential.

    “I won’t just be in cinemas I will be on all platforms I can make money from”, she said.
