APC chieftain, Emerhor provides free health services for community

It was a four-day birthday bash initially planned to be a grand event where the high and mighty would be guests. But then there was the idea of making the event an unusual service to humanity.

For Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, the governorship flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State in the 2015 general elections and the sole financier of the party in the state, prudence is always a key word, even as it relates to marking his 60th anniversary. His wife’s coincided with his somewhat. Hers was November 24 while his was November 25.

However, being his Diamond Jubilee, there was cause to take the ‘marking’ a notch higher, hence the structuring of a four-day event to mark the occasion, but the form the event should take became a matter of debate.

Explaining how the birthday celebration became an occasion to celebrate humanity and give back to society, Emerhor said he sat with his immediate family and asked if it would really be worth the cost and the effort if his 60th birthday celebration was marked the usual way, with champagnes, barbeque and other pleasurable assortments, in the company of politicians and rich men, in some posh hotel somewhere in the highbrow areas of Lagos or Abuja.

The vote was in favour of something else; an unusual gathering of community people from far and near, given access into his sprawling country home, to wine and dine, recreate and be empowered.

Explaining the process that brought about the spectacle of last week, the Urukpe of Evwreni said: “At 60, I should be thankful to God. If you look at the mood in the country today and people’s economic situation, what should I do to celebrate my 60 years? Is it to invite rich people, buy champagne and make merry? No! I felt that I should use the opportunity to reach out to Nigerians that are under stress. That is why, as a family, we sat down and said let’s come down to my community and carry out most of the activities here. Let’s design a medical outreach which will take place in about four communities. People will undergo various medical tests and examinations and receive free drugs.

“We also felt that since I have a clinic in Evwreni (my home town), most of my friends who will attend the novelty match will have an opportunity to make financial contributions to support the clinic.

“On Saturday, I also want people to come and watch cultural displays. There are cash prizes to be won, and this will help to develop culture. The grand finale will be when we will empower hundreds of youths and women. We want to support them with some grants so that they can improve and possibly contribute to the economy. My commitment will be to monitor the beneficiaries to see how well they will use the funds so that in future if there is any need to support them, I will build them up.”

On the first day of the event, hundreds of people received free intensive eye care services In all, the eye care outreach, which drew beneficiaries from about six communities in Ughelli North and Isoko South local governments, examined and treated about 1,500 people.

During the first part of the outreach in Evwreni and Enwhe, 500 people were treated of cataract and myopia.

The Coordinator of the programme, Chief Collins Udi stated that free eye glasses and drugs would be given to beneficiaries irrespective of political or tribal affiliation.

Also speaking on the success of the programme, one of the opticians Dr. Austin Issah, said: “We have been able to attend to all categories of eye problems, including cataract and myopia. Irrespective of the number of persons to be attended to, we are capable of handling those who make themselves available for the programme.”

On Friday, November 24, which was Mrs. Rita Emerhor’s birthday, a novelty football match was played in the Emerhor Evwreni community. It was organised to raise funds for a cottage clinic donated to the community by the Olorogun. The novelty match added another unusual colour to the event. The match was played by 30 women against 11 men, all of whom are friends and associates of Emerhor. The crowded women’s side, took the day, using all imaginable skills, including re-enacting the Diego Maradona ‘Hand of God’ tactic to ensure victory over their rather lean-sided opponents. They won the match by five goals to two. High point of the match was the raising of a N1 million endowment fund for the cottage clinic by friends of the Emerhors who took part in the match.

On Saturday, November 25, which is Olorogun Emerhor’s birthday, many praised him for his gesture to the downtrodden. The day was made more colourful by the structure of the community-oriented programmes he initiated for his people.

The grand finale of the series of events was set for Sunday, November 26 at his country home. After a special church thanksgiving service, Olorogun Emerhor empowered 262 people with the sum of N13.1 million.

One of his guests; former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, who is now a stalwart of the APC, Hon Victor Ochei, made an additional donation of N1 million for 20 widows.

  • Appeal court reserves judgement in Delta guber poll

Appeal court reserves judgement in Delta guber poll

There was apprehension Thursday across party lines in Delta state as the Appeal Court, sitting in Benin, reserved judgement in the appeal challenging the judgement of the state’s governorship election petitions tribunal, which had in October given victory to Dr Ifeanyi Okowa of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), as duly elected governor of the state.

Levels of anxiety were heightened Thursday among party faithfuls of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) and the PDP over the likely angle the pendulum of the appellate court’s decision might swing when the judgement would be delivered, considering the events that necessitated changing the judges previously handling appeal.

It would be recalled that the governorship petitions tribunal, which sat in Asaba, had on October 26, ruled in favour of Dr Okowa, his  party, the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), dismissing the petitions filed by Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, the governorship candidate of the APC.

However, the Appeal Court in Benin, after the parties in the appeal had adopted their final addresses, in the petition with file number CA/B/EPT / 2015, filed by Chief Thomson Okpoko (SAN), counsel to Emerhor and the APC,  reserved  its judgement.

Chairman of the five-man panel of Appeal Court Judges, Justice Uwani Abba-Aji, who presided over the sitting, stated that the date of the judgement will be communicated to the parties, while assuring them that justice will be done.

Dissatisfied with the decision of the lower tribunal, Emerhor and his party, the APC, had approached the Appeal Court, asking the court to set-aside the judgement of the tribunal and order a rerun election in the state.

In the 11 grounds of appeal, the appellant averred that, “the learned Justices erred in law when they failed to nullify the election due to substantial non compliance with the Electoral Act, INEC guidelines and over voting in 61 percent of the polling units in the state.”

The appellants also alleged a resort to manual accreditation instead of the mandatory use of card readers.

Counsel to Emerhor and the APC, Chief Okpoko (SAN) while adopting and relying on his written addresses, contended that the lower tribunal chose to ignore the preponderance of evidence before the court and urged the Appeal Court to allow the appeal and set aside the judgement of the lower tribunal and annul the election as required by law.

He also sought the outright dismissal of the cross appeal of the respondents as lacking in merit.

The counsels to first respondent (Okowa), Alex Iziyon (SAN); second respondent (PDP), Timothy Kehinde (SAN); and third respondent (INEC), Damian Dodo (SAN) urged the appeal court to dismiss the appeal with substantial cost against the petitioners, stating that the appeal lacks merit.

  • Delta APC reconciles aggrieved members

    Delta APC reconciles aggrieved members

The on going reconciliation of some aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State is to effectively position the party for a possible re-run and to dominate the political scene in the state.

Chieftains of the party are in high spirit as Olorogun Otega Emerhor garners overwhelming support of members in the three senatorial districts.

APC Delta and Emerhor in a statement by his Director of Media, Dr Fred Larimore Oghenesivbe said that the bond of unity and absolute oneness of members has put paid to speculations by the opposition that APC Delta State will not survive her internal crisis.

He disclosed that the crisis was traced to some party members in the Diaspora who did not believe initially that President Muhammadu Buhari will win the election but later schemed to hijack the party structure in the state after the landslide victory as well as those who were either working for the PDP for selfish interest but could not achieve their goals in the PDP power sharing game.

The other groups, according his media aide were those who lost out at the party primaries including party members who PDP planted within the rank and file of the party to generate crisis for electioneering strategies before, during and after the general elections.

Oghenesivbe posited that members of the APC Delta resolved to remain united and to support Olorogun Otega Emerhor who has been and still the major financier of the party in the state so as to mobilize for a possible re-run election after the legal tussle at the tribunal.

“This pleasant development has placed the party in a better position to rescue power from the PDP which had mismanaged the God given wealth of the oil rich state in the past 16 years of democratic rule,” the statement added.

  • Defecting PDP members endorse Emerhor

Several groups of defecting PDP members in Delta State have endorsed the candidate of the All Progressives candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor as their governorship for the 2015 general elections.

Speaking on behalf of all the groups, Comrade Ebah said they have all decided to endorse the APC candidate because they were tired of supporting the PDP stressing that for the past 16 years the ruling party has brought nothing but pains to the people.

Comrade Ebah stressed that it was high time youths in the State took their destinies into their hands and worked with the progressive party that will bring the needed change desired by the people. He said Olorogun Emerhor has proven himself in the business world by dint of hard work and that he believed that has what it takes to rescue the State from the clutches of PDP.

The groups numbering  about twenty, promised the APC gubernatorial candidate that they will take the message of change to their wards and units in all the 25 local government areas of the State, vowing to mobilize the grassroots for Emerhor.

Responding the APC candidate expressed his appreciation for the endorsement saying that with the various political and pressure groups behind him, they will wrest power from the hands of PDP and rescue the State from the economic tsunami it finds itself through the misrule of the ruling part for the past 16 years.

Emerhor said his government is going to rescue the State from the present underdevelopment brought about by clueless leaders who have continued to squander the resources of the State to the detriment of the masses.

He noted that despite being one of the riches states in Nigeria, Delta State still lacks basic infrastructure like schools, roads, hospitals, electricity and others. He urged youths in the State to take their destinies into their hands and stand their ground and defend their votes during the elections.

  • Attack on Osinbajo: Emerhor, youths slam Asari-Dokubo’s ally

Attack on Osinbajo: Emerhor, youths slam Asari-Dokubo’s ally

Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate Olorogun O’tega Emerhor  has berated Rex Anighoro, an ally of former Niger Delta militant leader, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, for threatening the party’s vice presidential candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo.

In a statement, Anighoro accused Osinbajo of working against the interest of the Urhobo by visiting the President-General of the new Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Chief Tuesday Onoge.

Emerhor, through his campaign organisation, described Anighoro’s statement as irresponsible.

Also, a former leader of UPU’s youth wing Igho Onoriobakpoepha said the statement was aimed at stirring ethnic and religious hate among Urhobo against Osibanjo and APC presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

A statement yesterday by the Director, Media and Political Communication of the Emerhor Campaign Organisation, Dr. Fred Oghenesivbe, said Anighoro’s statement, which was released under the aegis of Coalition of Urhobo Nation Youth Leaders and Stakeholders (CUNYLS), could cause a war between the youth of UPU’s two factions.

He said Anighoro was aware that the Uvwiamuge Declaration took into account only the two maor parties – the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and not the Labour Party (LP).

Oghenesivbe said APC accepted the UPU offer and gave Urhobo Emerhor as their endorsed candidate.

The Delta APC spokesman said if Anighoro, the UPU and Chief Joe Omene were sure that LP was part of the bargain ab-initio and wanted LP governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru, to fly the Urhobo flag in the election, they ought to have presented him the first time they struck a deal with Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and the PDP.

According to him, if David Edevwie had won the PDP primary, Ogboru would have been abandoned by the UPU, Omene and Anighoro’s group.

Oghenesivbe described Anighoro as one of the best brains in the youth arm of the Omene-led UPU.

The spokesman urged Anighoro to avoid meddling in controversies that could destroy his reputation in Urhobo land.

A former Research and Information Officer in UPU’s Youth Wing, Onoriobakpoepha, said Anighoro’s statement was borne out of his loyalty to Omene, who was removed for allegedly attempting to undermine the Uvwiamughe Declaration.

Onoriobakpoepha said: “Anighoro and his group are too insignificant to bar a vice presidential candidate from visiting the UPU and Delta Central. Besides, such an utterance is criminal and inciting. It is common knowledge that he is an apologist of President Goodluck Jonathan, for those who still remember his infamous declaration to dance naked, if Jonathan failed to get a second term.

“Knowing that Rex is also a professed loyalist of Chief Omene, whose UPU has been displaced over its deliberate attempt to undermine the Uvwiamuge Declaration, we see, by the tone of his statement, an extended conspiracy by the rejected UPU forces to throw spanners in the wheel of Olorogun Emerhor’s bid as the Urhobo consensus governorship candidate in Delta State.”

  • ‘UPU endorsement of Emerhor meant to actualise Uvwiamuge Declaration’

‘UPU endorsement of Emerhor meant to actualise Uvwiamuge Declaration’

The adoption of Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Olorogun Otega Emerhor, as Urhobo Progress Union’s (UPU’s) consensus candidate is in line with the Uvwiamuge Declaration, it has been learnt.

Delta State APC Campaign Media Director, Dr. Fred Oghenesivbe, said Emerhor’s endorsement was meant to produce a credible Urhobo candidate.

In a statement in Asaba, the state capital, Oghenesivbe said UPU’s faction President-General, Chief Tuesday Onoge, and his exco were men of impeachable integrity, who took the decision to align with the yearnings and aspirations of the Urhobo.

The APC chieftain said Emerhor and his campaign team received the news of the consensus endorsement with joy.

According to him, although the party had made solid preparations for the governorship election with its winning structures, the UPU endorsement would further boost its chances to win the election on April 11.

Oghenesivbe, who is an alumnus of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), said the misrule of the past and the inability of the Federal Government to tackle insecurity, poverty and sundry economic challenges was giving Nigeria a bad image in the international community.

The APC chieftain urged the Federal Government to stop the media propaganda and attacks on the party and its presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

He said Nigerians had become wiser than they were in 1999, adding that no amount of political scheming and politicking of hate could prevent Nigerians from voting for change.

Oghenesivbe said: “The change Nigerians and Delta residents need is an end to corruption, looting of state and federal treasury by some individuals.”

The APC chieftain also said Nigerians were calling for realistic infrastructural development and general development in all sectors.

He said 16 years of Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) administration had failed to find solutions to Nigeria’s problems.

Oghenesivbe said the party lacked the moral justification to remain in power, adding that Nigerians were tired of epileptic power supply, dilapidated infrastructure, collapsing manufacturing sector, lack of social security, mediocrity and incompetence in the management of natural, human and financial resources.

  • Delta 2015: Urhobo leaders torn between Emerhor and Ogboru

Delta 2015: Urhobo leaders torn between Emerhor and Ogboru

Associate Editor, Sam Egburonu, reports that Urhobo leaders are currently engaged in an intricate political assignment that entails either securing a pact between APC’s Olorogun O’tega Emerhor and Labour Party’s Chief Great Ogboru or to make a choice between them as Urhobo prepares to move against PDP as a unified force  in the 2015 Delta State governorship election

THE Urhobo factor in the upcoming Delta State governorship election in 2015 is becoming more pronounced daily as Urhobo leaders and youths continue to insist on their determination that Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s successor in 2015 must be an Urhobo son.

It would be recalled that apart from the call to zone the next governorship election of the state to Delta North, which dominated the early parts of the Peoples Democratic Party’s post primary election campaigns, another factor that was at the front burner was the quest of the Urhobo ethnic group to produce the next governor of the state. In fact, their cause was so well fought within the top leadership of the PDP that Uduaghan, who championed the Delta North campaign in his party, suddenly changed heart at the last minutes when he dumped his earlier favorite, Sir Tony Chuks Obuh from Delta North and pitched his tent with an Urhobo son, Olorogun David Edevbie from Delta Central.

But following the unexpected twist of events that led to the failure of Edevbie, and the emergence of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa from Delta North as PDP flag bearer against ‘popular’ permutation, Urhobo leaders, youths and political elites are bitter, as they swear to overlook party differences in their bid to unite and use their population advantage to favour the emergence of one of their own.

Interestingly, the two strong opposition parties in the state, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Labour Party (LP) are fielding Urhobo sons, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor and Chief Great Ogboru respectively, as their governorship candidates.

While there seems to be no doubt that the Urhobo political leaders are doing everything within their power to make good their threat by campaigning for mass support of Urhobo electorates for an Urhobo governorship candidate, the major challenge now is which of the two Urhobo sons would get their mass votes?

Already, there is the calculation that the PDP is banking on the possibility of the two candidates from Urhobo splitting Urhobo votes, thus neutralizing the well known population advantage of the ethnic group to the favour of PDP’s Okowa.

To avoid this scenerio, political leaders in the area, especially youth leaders, are campaigning vigourously for an alliance or some form of unity or cooperation that will ensure emergence of an Urhobo son as the next governor of Delta State

Sources however said during the week that not much progress has been made in this regard as supporters of Emerhor and Ogboru respectively believe that their candidate is the best.

Supporters of Ogboru, for example argued that he enjoys cult-like support by the Urhobo electorates, who have been solidly behind him all these years and are still eager to support him in 2015.

“Ogboru is a well known face we all love and support. Instead of denying him now, this is the time his desire to govern the state is better positioned to become a reality. We believe if Urhobo people actually want to produce a governor, they should support this authentic Urhobo leader, our own general, without looking back. From what happened in the last PDP governorship primary election, it is now clear that this is the time to give our full support to the opposition, to Great Ogboru,” said one Urhobo elder who dismissed, with a wave of the hand, the call for Ogboru to sacrifice his ambition by supporting O’tega Emerhor.

Supporters of Emerhor however said he is better positioned than Ogboru to realise the governorship ambition of the Urhobo. According to them, O’tega, who is contesting on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC),  is contesting on a platform that is stronger and more likely to match the ruling PDP. So, it would be better to give him the support if the Urhobo is serious to defeat PDP.

Citing ‘Uvwianuge Declaration,’ Emerhor, the APC candidate, has also not shied away from emphasising the advantage his platform gives to him, while acknowledging the challenge of managing his emergence in APC and Ogboru’s emergence in LP.

Commenting on the challenges ahead, he said at an interactive session with the youth wing of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), the apex socio-cultural group of the Urhobo nation of Delta State that the major problem an Urhobo son may have in emerging the state governor in 2015 may be disunity among themselves.

He said the emergence of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the governorship candidate of the PDP in Delta State was not a threat to the emergence of an Urhobo man as the state governor in 2015. According to him, the main threat is if the Labour Party and its flag bearer, Chief Great Ogboru, succeed in dividing Urhobo votes.

Calling on Ogboru to join hands with him to make the Urhobo dream of occupying Government House, Asaba, a reality, he said: “I tell you, the greatest threat of the Urhobos is not Okowa. The greatest threat is Labour Party and the disunity amongst the Urhobos. Labour Party has no presidential candidate. Labour Party wants to deceive us. They say Jonathan is our son. Urhobo should not be deceived. You must support a party that will carry you to the end.”

He also said, “There was an original ovwiamughe declaration. Urhobos have said they are tired of dealing with mushroom parties. We all know that PDP is gone forever. We also know that APC now has 14 governors in the country.

“You should not fold your hands and watch some people deceive us. Don’t be deceived. We are here to make sure that an Urhobo man becomes the governor of this state. Before now, we have been supporting a small party. Now, we have the APC and we cannot risk supporting small parties again. I have supported Chief Ogboru before and now is his turn to support me. You people should tell him (Ogboru) that now is his turn to support me. If he does that, Urhobos will remember him for this sacrifice. He is my brother. If we are divided against ourselves then we are gone, “O’tega said.

Just like the APC candidate insinuated, the major fear Urhobo political leaders and other analysts express is the possibility of the two candidates fighting each other and thus creating room for PDP’s easy sail to the Government House.

To avoid this, various pressure groups and political associations in Urhobo are not leaving any stone unturned as they lobby the two to close their ranks and fight as a family.

One of such groups is the Urbobo Progress Union, the apex socio-cultural Organisation of the Urhobo people.

While most of the activities of UPU in this regard are still done discreetly, youth groups and political associations in this region are more open and vocal in their call for a form of alliance against PDP.

For example, a group,  Urhobo Restoration Agenda (URA), recently threw its weight behind APC’s Emerhor as it appealed to the governorship candidate of Labour Party (LP), Chief Great Ogboru, to make sacrifice for the Urhobo nation, by supporting Emerhor.

Its National President, Chief Etachiko Omonigho and National Secretary, Comrade Oghenovie James, in a publication signed by them on behalf of the group said: “Our appeal to Ogboru: We believe that if Ogboru would put Urhobo first, as Urhobo has done to him in the past 12 years, he should forge alliance with the APC candidate to present a more formidable front in order to actualize the Urhobo governorship quest in 2015.

“So what we are asking the ‘People’s General’ to do is not out of order, if Ogboru’s interest is to salvage Delta State and better the lots of Urhobo nation, he should please join forces with O’tega Emerhor in APC to free Delta State from the grip of the Ibori/Uduaghan political dynasty that has plundered the commonwealth of the state in the last 16 years. We believe this is not too much to ask from Ogboru who the Urhobo nation has given much. The mark of a great leader is measured by how much sacrifice he can make for his people,” the group said.

President of the youth wing of the UPU, Comrade Ovie Igho, is not left out in this agitation as he had vowed to mobilize Urhobo youths in the state to ensure that an Urhobo son becomes the next governor of the state in 2015.

Alleging that PDP has died a natural death and would lose millions of Urhobo votes at the state and national level, Igho lamented that the Urhobo ethnic group “has suffered untold hardship in the hands of the present administration both at the state and national level.” He therefore threatened that Urhobo youths would do everything in their power to ensure that the zone produces the next governor of the state.

Also, the chairman of Urhobo Youths Emancipation Network (UYEN), a political pressure group in Unenurhie town, Ughelli North, Local Government Area of Delta State, Prince Young Erhiurhoro, was recently quoted as appealing to the leadership of the UPU to always stand by their words in respect of the “Uvwianuge Declaration” so that the Urhobo can produce the governor for the state come 2015.

According to him, “The battle is now clear, let UPU and all Urhobos join forces together to retain our lost crown and glory. The tide is now flowing to the APC since PDP did not give their ticket to an Urhobo man. Let’s forget about party affiliations. This is an Urhobo cause and Urhobo dream. We must not allow it to scatter and get our future ruined with some little chips.”

So, as the various stakeholders in the so-called Urhobo 2015 Project labour hard to convince both the Ogboru’s Labour Party and Emerhor’s APC on the sacrifices they would need to make to face and defeat the ruling PDP, the political atmosphere in the state is highly charged and everyone agrees that this issue has further raised the stakes both for the opposition parties and the ruling PDP.

  • Ogboru, LP not in Urhobo interest, says Emerhor

Ogboru, LP not in Urhobo interest, says Emerhor

Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has said the struggle of the Urhobo to produce the next governor is being jeopardised by the Labour Party (LP) and its governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru.

Emerhor spoke in Warri at an interactive session with the youth wing of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Ogboru was also present.

Emerhor noted that Ogboru’s approach to actualising the Uvwiamughe Declaration of the Urhobo would not give him victory.

According to him, Ogboru had used the same approach, which had been responsible for his failure in all three attempts.

The APC candidate described LP as an appendage of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which would only weaken the Urhobo block vote.

He urged Ogboru, his kinsman, to show selflessness in the quest to actualise the Urhobo political ambition and support him to deliver Urhobo as next governor.

Emerhor said: “Ogboru has done it three times and he failed because of his small parties. We cannot afford to support him again. The rumour that the PDP will give the ticket through LP is wayo.

Also, the youth vowed to go to war, if need be, to have an Urhobo governor in 2015.

  • Delta’s destiny must be reclaimed, says APC’s aspirant

Delta’s destiny must be reclaimed, says APC’s aspirant

Delta State governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Party (APC), Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has stressed the need for Deltans to reclaim their destiny from the control of a few, who had ruled the state for the years.

The governorship hopeful, who spoke last Monday at the state APC secretariat in Asaba, noted that the party was ready to face the upcoming election, adding that it possessed the required machinery to reorder Delta for higher development.

Emerhor, who was at the party’s office to collect the expression of interest and governorship forms, said the state was due for change.

“You know I came here some days ago to declare my intentions to run for the governorship. Now, I have just bought my form and we are set to bring a change.

“Some few persons are the ones dictating the destiny of the whole Deltans. We are out to change that order and let Deltans decide their destiny,” the governorship aspirant said.

Emerhor urged the people to take their destiny in their hands and vote APC, insisting that Delta has been misruled and need a proven expert like him.

The state APC Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue, while presenting the forms to Emerhor, said the party was ready for the Saturday’s council elections, urging all eligible voters in the state’s 25 council areas to troop out to vote.

“The APC is sure of victory and will put smiles on the faces of Deltans. We are set for the 2015 general elections and our candidates have started picking their forms.

“The APC is ready for the Saturday’s local government elections. I urge all to come out en mass and vote APC”, Erue said.
