    I was mistaken for a ‘Yahoo Boy’ because of my stage name – Oluwadolarz

    Comedian and singer Olamide Ogunleye popularly known as Oluwadolarz has opened up about the controversy surrounding his stage name.

    In a recent interview on Open Up podcast, he revealed that the name “Dolarz” originated from a humorous remark he made about the dollar’s value fluctuating against the naira back in 2010.

    The joke resonated with his audience, and soon, people began calling him “Dolarz.”

    However, Oluwadolarz said his stage name took on a life of its own, leading to unfounded rumors and misconceptions about his character with assumptions that he was involved in illicit activities, such as fraud or money laundering, due to the “Dolarz” name.

    He said this misconception deterred some brands from collaborating with him, fearing that his reputation would tarnish their image.

    He said: “My stage name started with “Dolarz” first in 2010 when I was doing stand-up comedy. People started calling me “Dolarz” because I cracked a joke about the dollar rising and falling at the time.

    “So whenever people are with me, they forget my real name and call me Dolarz because that’s the joke they can remember.

    “Around 2014, I started saying “Oluwa is involved” so when people call me Dolarz, I will reply “Oluwa is involved ” and that’s how Oluwadolarz was coined.

    “However, because of the name, a lot of people thought I was one yahoo boy or bad guy. Some brands did not even want to be associated with me because of the misconception that I’m just a Yahoo boy trying to cover up with comedy.

    “So, I had to start explaining how the name was coined and its meaning”.

    Content creator and former fiancée of Oluwadolarz, Ifeluv, has fired back at his cryptic post suggesting that people are respected when wealthy but disrespected when not.

    The controversy erupted after Ifeluv publicly announced the end of their relationship, accusing Oluwadolarz of infidelity, financial irresponsibility, and neglecting their four-year-old son.

    In response, Oluwadolarz shared a post that many interpreted as an indirect reaction to Ifeluv’s claims.

    However, social media users criticized him, accusing him of deflecting from the infidelity allegations by shifting the focus to financial struggles.

    Ifeluv then countered with a pointed message, stating that a man who lacks financial wisdom and indulges in reckless spending has only himself to blame when his life falls apart.

    “A man who lacks financial wisdom, indulges in reckless spending, and chases women while his peers are building their future will have only himself to blame when his life crumbles. Remember, guys, you won’t be at your peak forever. Make hay while the sun shines so you don’t end up searching for someone to blame for your downfall”, she said.

    Skit maker Oluwadolarz has finally addressed the controversy surrounding his recent breakup with fiancée and baby mama, Ifeluv.

    In a cryptic Instagram post, Oluwadolarz appeared to indirectly comment on the situation, reflecting on the impermanence of wealth and fame.

    Ifeluv publicly announced their separation, accusing Oluwadolarz of infidelity and financial irresponsibility.

    The skit maker’s mother subsequently pleaded with Ifeluv to forgive her son.

    Reacting, he noted that those who once revered him would soon question his significance.

    He wrote: “When a man has wealth, he is often revered like royalty but when the same wealth fades, respect quickly vanishes. 

    “The same people that used to say ‘thanks for everything, you are the best’ will change their tone to ‘what have you ever done for me? Who you be self?’

    “It’s a lesson I have learned firsthand. May we never become a thing of the past. we keep pushing,” he wrote.

    Oluwadolarz’s mother has weighed in on the controversy surrounding her son’s marital issues with Ifeluv.

    In a viral video, she expressed her concerns about modern relationships, stating that younger generations lack the endurance to navigate challenges.

    She recounted a scenario where a woman forgave her husband’s infidelity, washing the bedsheets after chasing the mistress away.

    Oluwadolarz’s mother cautioned that leaving a cheating partner may not guarantee a better outcome with the next person.

    “It was on the internet that I knew my son and Ife were fighting. We don’t live together. Leave both of them alone, when they calm down, we can then talk about it.

    “Have you not seen a situation whereby a woman walked in to her husband having s*x with another woman on their matrimonial bed and she still washed the bedsheets after chasing the woman away? If you leave a man for cheating, do you know what the next man will do to you? He might even be worse than the one you left.

    “Children of nowadays don’t know how to endure. We endured a lot in our days. I am not supporting any of them,” she added.

    The estranged fiancée of comedian Oluwadolarz, Ifeluv, has hinted at potential legal action while addressing their highly publicized breakup.

    In an Instagram post, Ifeluv accused Oluwadolarz of infidelity, stating that he was the only one who cheated in their relationship. 

    She explained that she chose to go public with their issues to discourage him from further contact, as she was tired of his persistent pleas.

    Emphasizing her self-worth, Ifeluv described Oluwadolarz as her “mistake” and stressed the importance she places on her body. 

    She also clarified that her actions were driven by love for their son, adding that she would refrain from making further public statements on the matter.

    However, she warned that while she may stay silent on social media, she is considering legal steps against Oluwadolarz.

    She wrote: “Listen up, you were the only one cheating in our Godforsaken relationship & a lot of you won’t understand I purposely came online so he can leave me the F alone. I was thinking I’d get a restricted order cos I’m tired of his begging, if he has access to God, he can bring him to beg. He has zero self-respect or shame. 

    “Your selfish impulses belonged to everyone but you. I value my body and my worth. You were my mistake, but I never regret my son. I’ve made it clear and I brought it online so you won’t come begging later. I promise not to say anything on this matter again, so as to avoid offending some certain people. If you like post whatever, I still have a legal case to bring up with you off social media because seems like you’re forgetting too soon that a hundred year crime can still come back to hunt you.     Actress and content creator Lola has addressed the allegations made by Ifeluv, the fiancée of comedian Oluwadolarz.

    Ifeluv had accused Lola of hiding in Oluwadolarz’s bathroom, insinuating infidelity.

    In a lengthy Instagram post, Lola provided context to the situation, revealing that she was filming a content video behind Oluwadolarz’s house and was offered the use of his younger sister’s bathroom to freshen up.

    Lola expressed disappointment and hurt over Ifeluv’s accusations, stating that she had always respected her.

    She advised Ifeluv to focus on resolving her relationship issues rather than making baseless accusations.

    Lola emphasised her commitment to her craft and integrity, saying she doesn’t need to “sleep around” for roles as her talent speaks for itself.

    She wrote on Instagram: “I honestly wasn’t going to address this because I have a clear conscience, but for the sake of my friends and family and most especially my brand, I’d like to address these preposterous allegations that are flying around.

    “First things first, I like to think I’m a very great actress (if I do say so myself) so I don’t have to sleep around for roles, my talent literally speaks for itself.

    The mother of popular skit maker Oluwadolarz has responded to allegations of her son’s infidelity, pleading with his fiancée, Ife Luv, to forgive him.

    During a TikTok live session, Mummy Dolarz expressed her shock at the claims, stating that she only learned about the situation online.

    Ife Luv had earlier accused Oluwadolarz of repeatedly cheating on her, including with one of his actresses. 

    She also alleged that he was financially irresponsible, leaving her to cover her expenses and 85% of their son’s needs while frequently disappointing brands he worked with.

    Mummy Dolarz emphasized that she has always supported Ife Luv during misunderstandings and never blindly defended her son. 

    She urged Ife Luv to reconsider forgiveness and warned against taking advice from people who may have their own hidden flaws.

    “I have begged you severally. Just take it that I was the one that offended you. I have never supported my son. God sees my heart. There was a time I even knelt down to beg you just because I didn’t want your relationship to break. You did not carry me along when this incident happened, I just saw it on social media. Those people that are telling you to leave him are going through worst situations in their houses”, she said.

    Influencer Ifeoluwa Adegoke popularly known as Ifeluv has called out her lover, skit maker Oluwadolarz, on Instagram, accusing him of cheating, lying and living a fake life. 

    Ifeluv claimed that she initially left Oluwadolarz due to his alleged infidelity but gave him another chance after he spent two years trying to convince her he had changed.

    However, Ifeluv claimed Oluwadolarz’s behaviour hasn’t improved and she’s been shouldering most of the responsibility for their child. 

    She also alleged that he’s struggling financially, can’t deliver on advert deals and envious of her success.

    She wrote: “I left him the first time because of his cheating. He spent two years trying to convince me he had changed.

    “Meanwhile, I’ve been taking 85% responsibility for our child because he’s broke most of the time-just living a fake life and chasing anything in a skirt. He has nothing, absolutely nothing, to his name. You give him an advert deal and he won’t deliver.

    “Brands keep threatening him, and every time he sees me achieving something, he starts crying because he hates it. But guess what? I make my own money.

    “He kept pretending he had changed, and I had no way of knowing otherwise since we didn’t live together. I rarely even visited. He even embarrassed me online with a public apology, and I let it slide. Then I accepted his proposal, only to go pick up my son at his place recently-only to find his actress, Lola, hiding in the bathroom. And this guy looked me dead in the eye and said nothing was going on! Your own son was in the house while you were messing around… how much more of an animal can you be?

    “There are even claims that she had been living with him, even after the proposal. Neighbours confirmed it, and close relatives say she has had multiple abortions for him. No remorse, just endless lies and manipulation. But I’m not even mad-I just got out of surgery. Ilet it slide.

    “He sleeps with anything; it’s like a curse. And before you ask if I was once one of his “actresses”-no. This man was my absolute first. I went through an entire university degree and service year as a virgin because I loved and trusted him. I never had to sleep for roles. But now? It’s over.”

    Content creator and singer, Ogunleye Babatunde Olamide, popularly known as Oluwadolarz, has recounted how he lost jobs and suffered depression after being accused of rape.

    In an interview on the ‘WithChude’ podcast, he discussed his tumultuous childhood, rape allegations in 2020 and his journey to success.

    The 30-year-old comedian also addressed the 2020 rape allegations that severely impacted his life and career.

    “I lost a lot of jobs due to the rape allegation. I was depressed because that was the same period I had my child. I paid a lot of debts because they wanted me to repay their money. They did not want to associate themselves with my brand,” he recounted.

    Oluwadolarz also revealed that his father’s death at two forced him to take on immense responsibilities.

    He said he became the breadwinner at 11, worrying about his family’s basic needs.

    “I was once a truck loader at Dangote Cement at Ebute Metta. I was loading pasta.

    “I lost my dad at a very early age like when I was 2 years old. But I had a stepdad who supported us. He died in 2015.

    “I did not enjoy my childhood. I became a man at the age of 11. At that age, I was contemplating what the family would eat. I started music in 2008. It did not move at all,” he stated.

    Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy has responded to Oluwadolarz’s claim of being asked for s3x in exchange for music promotion.

    According to Oluwadolarz, an executive demanded s3x from him before he could help promote his songs, endorse his music or help him top the charts.

    Oluwadolarz wrote on Instagram: “You will promote my songs. Endorse my music. Help me top chart. But make I first bend over make you enter my Yansh. E.n.k.r sir.”

    Reacting to the post via the comment section of a blog, Don Jazzy dared the skit maker-cum-singer, to name the person that asked for s3x to promote his music.

    He wrote, “Tag the person or it’s a lie sir.”
