Osun 2026: Reinstated chairmen, others urge Oyetola to concede APC guber ticket to NIWA boss

…says national APC scribe also qualifies

Reinstated local government chairmen of Osun State, along with their predecessors from 2017 to 2022, have called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to grant its governorship ticket to the Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Bola Oyebamiji.

The chairmen reached this consensus during a meeting at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office on Monday.

Speaking on their behalf, former Boluwaduro Council Chairman, Hon. Akeem Tokede, revealed that they have launched a campaign group, Grassrooters for AMBO, to mobilize support for Oyebamiji.

According to him, “The minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola still our preferred guber candidate but if he chooses not to contest, the NIWA boss should be given the ticket.

“We believe that with our structure, we are local government chairmen, we are in the grassroots and we have the ability to mobilise and campaign for the NIWA boss to emerge victorious in the election.”

While responding to questions from journalists, he said the National Secretary of APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru is eminently qualified to contest but the decision of the party will bind over him if Oyetola anoints Oyebamiji.

He said, “Senator Basiru cannot distabilise the party if he is not given the guber ticket. I have worked with him before, he is a core party man who recognizes leadership.

“Basiru is eminently qualified to contest and we considered that but we are throwing our weight behind the NIWA boss following our meeting.”

Osun 2026: Consensus guber candidate likely by leaders in APC —Basiru

The National Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, has said that the party guber candidate for Osun State in 2026 election may emerge through a consensus arrangement by the leaders of the party.

He said the party may not rule the arrangement out considering the antecedents in Ondo and Edo States where several aspirants vied for the party ticket but was resolved through a consensus arrangement.

Speaking at the launch of grassroots mobilisers for APC across the state under the auspices of Alubarika Movement, held on Sunday noted that APC is united and strong in Osun State which will sack Governor Ademola Adeleke from government in 2026.

He expressed confidence that primary election of APC will not result to crisis within the party ahead 2026 election.

He said: “The primary election will be free and fair but I can assure you that the candidate may emerge from consensus arrangements by leadership of the party.

“APC can not be divided. Our party is a party of leadership and as I said, everybody that is a member of the party has legitimate desire to ensure that we have a candidate that will be able to deliver and defeat the PDP.

“In Ondo state for instance, there were 16 aspirants and we were able to get the right candidate that was able to deliver for the party. The same thing in Edo, we have more than 16 there and we resolved the matter. Everybody has the right to aspire to be leadership in the party.”

He scored the administration of Ademol Adeleke very low noting that, “PDP in Osun has failed in the area of education, health, empowerment. Will it not suprise you that the budget of the governor’s house is far more than the budget of agriculture, education and health combined.”

“It is a government that has no direction. Even the so called flyover they are doing, it’s being done without any project management sense and it shows lack of coordination, lack of leadership and lack of focus of the government.”

Commenting about rifts within Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), he said “Ambition of a few individuals is what is causing the rift within the opposition party and it is to the joy of us as a ruling party if they don’t get their house together. It is not our job to help them put their house in order.”

Earlier, the State Chairman of Alubarika Movement, Alhaji Kehinde Olagoke, said APC mobilisers will move to units, wards and local government areas to win as many people to the progressive fold.

  • Osun 2026: Uneasy calm in APC over zoning

Osun 2026: Uneasy calm in APC over zoning

The All Progressives Congress (APC) lost the last governorship election mainly because it refused to zone its ticket to Osun West Senatorial District. As the countdown to the next election begins, the party is in a quandary and has yet to take a position on the matter. TOBA ADEDEJI reports

Following the defeat it suffered in the hands of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2022, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is warming up for next year’s off-cycle governorship contest to decide who occupies the Bola Ige House in Osogbo, Osun State.

However, the uncertainty over the APC’s position on zoning ahead of next year’s election is one factor that is still unsettling some stakeholders; particularly those who have ambitions to contest.

It is uncertain whether the immediate past governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola would contest. There are insinuations in some quarters that he may not contest because of the bigger national assignment that President Bola Tinubu has entrusted in his hands.

Be that as it may, for the APC to succeed in its bid to dislodge incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke from the Osun State Government House, it must put its house in order by organizing a rancour-free primary ahead of the off-cycle governorship election scheduled for late next year. There is internal wrangling within the fold over who gets its ticket. Based on the party’s convention, the Minister for Marine and Blue Economy and former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has the right of first refusal, as the APC leader in Osun. However, not all stakeholders are willing to accept Oyetola as the consensus candidate.

The APC’s influence in Osun State politics began to wane in 2017 when it lost the Osun West bye-election to the then-PDP candidate, Ademola Adeleke. The seat became vacant following the death of the lawmaker who hitherto represented the constituency, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, the elder brother of Governor Adeleke. The PDP, which fielded the incumbent governor as its flag bearer for the Osun West senatorial race, defeated the APC by winning nine local government areas, against the APC’s one.

The consensus then was that the APC became unpopular because of the anti-people policies of the APC government led by Rauf Aregbesola. Such policies include the half salary syndrome, single uniform, school reclassification, and the state’s high indebtedness. People were determined to protest against the party with their votes during any election.

This protest vote resulted in APC nearly losing the 2018 governorship election to Adeleke. Though Oyetola corrected most of the anti-people policies when he emerged as governor, following Aregbesola’s exit, he could not convince Osun residents that the party meant well because his government equally faced different challenges, ranging from #EndSAR protest, COVID-19, zero allocation among others.

This was what led to the APC losing the 2022 election. Besides, the party was divided; a faction led by Aregbesola connived with the PDP, particularly in Osun West Senatorial District where members were aggrieved to dislodge the former ruling party from power.

The clamour for a governor of Osun West extraction worked against Oyetola’s re-election bid because he is from Osun Central, while his opponent, Adeleke is from Osun West. Indications are that the APC has not learnt lessons from the last governorship election; because it has yet to take a stand on zoning, which was its undoing in the 2022 election.

That notwithstanding, the party has been working seriously to win more members ahead of next year’s governorship election. Stakeholders have been working assiduously to increase the party’s popularity. Their efforts are yielding positive results. For instance, the party’s decision to expel or suspend members suspected to be Aregbesola loyalists is yielding some good dividends, as some of such loyalists of Aregbesola have opted to return to the APC. Others like the former APC scribe, Rasaq Salinsile have dumped the Aregbesola faction but have refused to return to the APC or even join the PDP.

In this way, the APC’s numerical strength and popularity are increasing daily. For instance, former PDP Deputy National Chairman, Shuaib Oyedokun has dumped the ruling party for the APC. The APC membership is growing in leaps and bounds. Those who joined the party in recent times include former PDP governorship aspirant, Prince Dotun Babayemi; former Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in 2022, Akin Ogunbiyi; former PDP House of Reps candidate, Kayode Oduoye; and former Chief of Staff to Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Peter Babalola among others. They joined the APC with thousands of their supporters.

Aspirants are beginning to emerge for the APC ticket ahead of next year’s election. For example, supporters of the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru are said to have appealed to the party leadership to give the ticket to the former federal lawmaker because of his popularity. Basiru is from Osogbo, in Osun Central. Osogbo, the state capital, has never produced a governor since the creation of the state. But some party bigwigs have kicked against it.

A top official close to President Tinubu is also rooting for the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Bola Oyebamiji to secure the ticket. Oyebamiji is from Ikire, Osun West. However, others believe his candidacy would not appeal to the electorate because the Osun West agenda has been in place since 2018 and that the contest would favour the governor because he has only one term left.

Yet, other party chieftains are advocating for a youth to occupy the governorship seat. In this regard, the Executive Director of Nigeria Port Authority (NPA), Olalekan Badmus, who hails from Osogbo, Osun Central, is being tipped for the party’s ticket.

Other contenders are Senator Jide Omoworare, Prince Dotun Babayemi, former Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye, former Deputy Governor Benedict Alabi, and legal luminary, Kunle Adegoke (SAN) among others.

    Ajibola Basiru

Ajibola Basiru is the national secretary of APC. He is a practising lawyer with years of experience. He was also a lecturer for years. He represented Osun Central in the Senate between 2019 and 2023. He lost his re-election to the Ila-Orangun-born candidate of the PDP, Olubiyi Fadeyi.

He served under Rauf Aregbesola as the Attorney General. He was a trusted ally of Aregbesola before he moved to the Oyetola camp and became the director-general of his campaign council in 2022. He hails from Osogbo and was a student union leader during his days at the university.

However, Basiru is perceived to be a radical politically, which may not work in his favour during the contest. Some people are opposed to him because he is untamable with his strength and knowledge, hence, he might not win the votes of the elites during the election.

     Bola Oyebamiji

Bola Oyebamiji is the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA). He served as the Commissioner for Finance under Aregbesola and Oyetola. He was initially anointed to succeed Aregbesola because of the agitation for a power shift to Osun West. His campaign had gained popularity throughout the state with the name ‘Dodo Ikire’ before Oyetola got the party’s ticket in 2018. He was a banker before he ventured into politics.

He was one of the eggheads under the administration of Oyetola who managed the state finance and was instrumental in repayment of about N100bn debt of Osun State within four years. He is believed to be generous as that made his popularity cut across party lines.

However, he has never been on the ballot before and has never contested for any position before.

     Dotun Babayemi

Prince Dotun Babayemi was a chieftain of the PDP until the eve of the last governorship election in 2022. He almost clinched the party’s ticket. He was an ally of former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola. Babayemi is from Gbongan. He has been a visible player in Osun West Senatorial District since 2011.

Prince Babayemi is a strong politician who has created several initiatives to better people’s lives, including a health programme that has benefitted over 350,000 constituents.

    Jide Omoworare

Senator Jide Omoworare represented the Osun East Senatorial District between 2015 and 2019. He was appointed as Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters under former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Omoworare played a pivotal role in the emergence of Aregbesola as the governor in Ile-Ife because the community has the highest number of voters in the state. He is one of the trusted allies of Tinubu and Oyetola and remained loyal during internal wrangling between Aregbesola and his successor, Oyetola.

    Olalekan Badmus

Olalekan Badmus, an engineer by profession, is one of the trusted mentees of Oyetola from Osogbo. He served as the Commissioner of Regional Integration and Special Duties under the administration of Oyetola.

Badmus played a pivotal role in the government of Oyetola, as he handled one of the popular initiatives of that government, the Monthly Free Food Scheme that fed about one million households between 2021 and 2022.

He is appealing to youths because of his large heart. His family is well known for the act of philanthropy. This earned him the sobriquet, ‘Omo Oloore’. He does not appear to have political enemies.

The father’s influence in Osogbo, particularly in the religious circle as the Asiwaju Musulumi in Yorubaland, would work in his favour.

Badmus had aspired for the Irepodun/Olorunda/Orolu and Osogbo Federal Constituency seat in 2019. He lost the ticket narrowly because the party leadership had endorsed another aspirant and prevailed on him to step down. He has won the hearts of party members with his humility and generosity.

Power rotation among the three senatorial districts, also known as zoning would play a crucial role in deciding the election. A chieftain of the APC Sunday Akere said his party would only zone its governorship ticket to Osun West Senatorial District if Oyetola refuses to run for another term. Akere who served as Commissioner for Information under the administration of Rauf Aregbesola said the district will be the party’s focus once the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, who has the right of first refusal, refuses to run for another term.

The ex-information commissioner, who also served as Special Adviser to Oyetola on Political Affairs, added that the party has credible personalities across the three senatorial districts who will deliver victory in 2026. However, he said the party would zone the ticket to Osun West Senatorial District for fairness. He said all the political bigwigs from the district are eminently qualified to pick the ticket and deliver victory for the party.

He said: “For fairness, the APC will focus more on Osun West Senatorial District for its candidate. I will not mention names but you are all aware that every major politician in the district is academically, psychologically and morally qualified to wrestle power from Governor Adeleke in 2026.”

However, a group known as the Osun Progressive Youths has rubbished Akere’s words, adding that he is being undemocratic, and self-serving and does not represent the interest and wishes of APC leaders and members. In a statement, its coordinator, Oladele Oladejo cautioned Akere against causing disunity within APC with his comment on zoning the governorship ticket to Osun West.

He said: “Such a statement is not expected from someone who is supposed to know better how party politics works. Akere cannot speak for the party. The position of the ex-commissioner also negates the principles of fairness and the ideals of inclusivity on which the APC was formed and thrived. He should stop playing the role of APC spokesman and focus on how to brighten the party’s chances during the election.”

The APC leadership has also refuted Akere’s statement on zoning, saying the party has not taken any position on the zone that would produce its governorship candidate. A statement by its Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi urged party members to disregard Akere’s position, adding that he was merely expressing his personal opinion on the matter.

Olabisi said: “The decision on where the party’s next governorship candidate will come from cannot be taken under the table; it shall be made public to all stakeholders. Therefore, it is needless for our members and supporters to have sleepless nights on the issue as it is a yet-to-be-treated party affair whose process would be as transparent as ever when the time comes.”

An analysis of the last governorship election shows that votes from Osun West gave Adeleke of the PDP victory over his APC counterpart, Oyetola. The APC polled a total number of 116,860 votes against PDP’s 144,558 during the election. The PDP won the election because of the massive support it got in Osun West Senatorial District where it dwarfed the APC by 27,698 votes. In Osun East, the APC got 121,873 votes, while the PDP had 120,080 votes; hence the APC defeated the PDP with 1,793. Also, in Osun Central, the APC got 136,294 votes, against 138,733 votes secured by the PDP. The latter got 2,439 votes more than the former in the district.

Osun 2026: APC group rejects zoning, warns against candidate imposition

As the 2026 Osun state governorship election approaches, the Osun Progressives Independent Forum (OPIF), a political group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), has voiced its opposition to zoning the party’s ticket.

The group also warned against the imposition of a candidate, citing past electoral challenges in 2018 and 2022 as cautionary tales.

Speaking at the NUJ Press Centre, Sunday Satiregun, OPIF’s coordinator, emphasised the need for merit-based selection of the APC gubernatorial candidate.

“The future of the APC and Osun State depends on selecting a candidate based on merit, not sentiments,” Satiregun stated.

“Our party must evaluate potential candidates against clear criteria, including antecedents, experience, electoral viability, courage, and demographic appeal.”

He advised against promoting a particular zone or senatorial district, cautioning that such actions could lead to divisions similar to those experienced in previous elections, which resulted in defections and a rerun.

Satiregun reiterated OPIF’s commitment to the party’s success, stating, “We are dedicated to strengthening the APC, not individuals, in order to ensure victory in future elections.”

He further disclosed that the group aims to mobilise 100,000 new voters to secure victory in 2026 and unseat Governor Ademola Adeleke.

“Currently, we have 60,000 members, and we are working diligently to expand our membership,” he added.

The group’s position highlights the need for strategic planning and unity within the APC ahead of the crucial 2026 gubernatorial contest.

  • Osun 2026: Crossroads and consequences (2)

Osun 2026: Crossroads and consequences (2)

For those who care to know, the July 16, 2022 event marked a political Armageddon for some individuals in Osun APC. On that fateful day, their political obituaries were written; and for some, there’s no resurrection in sight. However, to honour their political memories, the party must rediscover its winning formula. This won’t be an easy task, but as the saying goes, “when there’s a will, there’s a way.” So, it is doable!

At a time like this, APC must develop a comprehensive Programme of Hope, similar to the one that successfully displaced the PDP in several Southwest states. A programme will matter, for by 2026, most of the electorate will be very hard-pressed, making a charismatic candidate’s galvanizing effect unreliable.

Right now, the people are looking for a programme to believe in, rather than “a great man”. Fortunately, APC has access to talented individuals within and outside the state who can help craft engaging programmes, reminiscent of the now-rested Unity Party of Nigeria, UPN’s Four Cardinal Programmes. Yes, a well-crafted manifesto is essential to unite the party, inspire a disillusioned electorate, and ultimately drive success.

Just as a bank’s Internal Auditor identifies and addresses policy exceptions to mitigate risks, Osun APC must challenge prevailing political norms and obstacles. Of course, this requires a critical examination of its strategies, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to boost its chances in the 2026 governorship, and subsequent elections. Through a process of introspective renewal and strategic repositioning, APC can harmonize its internal dynamics, optimize its operational capacity and fortify its structural integrity, ultimately guaranteeing electoral victories in 2026 and beyond.

Emeritus Professor of Philosophy, Tunde Bewaji’s astute observation that “Politicians are different animals who live in their own eco chambers” aptly captures the disconnect between politicians and the people they claim to serve. Talking seriously, this detachment can lead to a sense of disillusionment among the populace, who feel that their leaders are out of touch with their needs and concerns. To bridge this gap, APC leaders must recognize the grassroots as the ontological foundation of the party, and therefore prioritize their needs, concerns, and aspirations above the interests of elite factions or special interest groups.

In a thriving democracy, the media serves as the omniscient watchdog, ever-vigilant and fiercely independent, barking loudly at the heels of power to prevent the metastasis of authoritarianism. As the Fourth Estate, it wields the sacred sword of truth, slicing through the veil of propaganda and deception to reveal the unvarnished reality.

In its most sublime manifestation, the media embodies the Platonic ideal of the philosopher-king, guiding the ship of state through the choppy waters of partisan rancour and ideological extremism, ever-steering towards the shores of truth, justice and the democratic way. The opposition media, in particular, carries a bigger burden in promoting counter-hegemony, critical discourse and civic republicanism, ideals advocated by thinkers like Antonio Gramsci, Jürgen Habermas, and Hannah Arendt.

Well, I have argued elsewhere that resorting to vitriolic abuse and profanity may bring momentary comfort, but it accomplishes nothing meaningful and can have devastating repercussions. I still stand by this assertion. Osun APC requires a clear focus, which can be achieved through a robust media strategy that effectively communicates its message. The current arrangement may be doing its best, but then, it needs to reevaluate and redefine its scope because, without a coherent programme and media focus, voters may be tempted to continue with the ‘devil we know.’

For a successful media campaign going forward, the party’s Directorate of Media and Publicity, if there is any, must move beyond ‘gbas-gbos’ (noise and criticism) and focus on impressing the electorate with APC’s accomplishments while in power and outline its future goals. By doing so, it can – and will – win over more votes than relying solely on criticism-driven media campaigns.

The road to 2026 presents Osun APC with a rare opportunity to reassess its rewards and acknowledgement system. Currently, there’s a disconnect between the party’s central leadership and grassroots development in Osun State. In contradistinction, APC successfully utilized its central connections in Edo State. The New Nigeria People’s Party’s surprise victory in Kano State also demonstrated the importance of strategic planning; and that’s a worthy feat!

To regain its footing, the party must construct a big tent, move away from avoidable discord, and display tactical acumen. It must recalibrate its vision, reassess its values, and reclaim its relevance in the hearts and minds of the electorate. Seizing this moment, harnessing members’ energies and forging a united front will determine whether 2026 becomes a watershed year for the APC or just another footnote in history.

As the great German philosopher, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, once said, “The only thing we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history.” To put it succinctly, the Year 2026 will come and go, leaving in its wake a trail of triumph or travesty, but one thing is certain – Osun APC’s existential fate hangs precariously in the balance, as the party’s leadership is confronted with a stark choice: redemption or perdition.

In the intricate dance of Osun politics therefore, it’s time for APC leaders and elders to experience a transformative moment, akin to Saint Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus. Otherwise, they risk facing the consequences of their actions or inactions. Time is running out, and many of those currently in leadership positions may not have another opportunity to make things right.

The clock is ticking, and the future of Osun State hangs in the balance. Therefore, it’s time for them to sit up, shape up, prioritize the needs of the party with sniper-like precision, and dictate the terms of victory. Time wasters, who are not trained to do anything, but, in whose eyes any goose can cackle and any fly can find a sore place, should not be allowed to breathe in the envisaged arrangement.

Let me conclude by stating that effective governance and leadership are crucial for the development of any society. The story of David and Obed-Edom illustrates this point. When David attempted to transport the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, he faced a setback due to Uzzah’s untimely death. This incident prompted David to reevaluate his approach and store the Ark in Obed-Edom’s house. As it turned out, Obed-Edom’s reverence and care for the Ark earned him God’s blessings. Surely certainly, it demonstrated the importance of responsible leadership and adherence to principles.

The iconic partnerships between leaders like Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass, Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu, and Lee Kuan Yew and Goh Keng Swee also showcased the transformative power of collaborative leadership. By pooling their strengths and resources, these leaders achieved remarkable outcomes, from ending apartheid to modernizing Singapore. Their successes demonstrate that effective collaboration can bridge divides, challenge entrenched power structures, and drive meaningful social change.

With the 2026 election on the horizon, David’s corrected approach and Obed-Edom’s humility offer valuable lessons for any political party, including Osun APC, as it strives for power and development in 2026. By embracing these values, the party can increase its chances of success and positively impact the people it serves.

For Osun APC, will the Year 2026 be a repeat of past mistakes, or will it mark a new beginning? Only time will tell!

May the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, grant us peace in Osun State!

Osun 2026: APC groups demand candidate from west senatorial district

…beg Oyetola, Akande to ensure emergence of candidate from west

As momentum builds for the 2026 Osun state governorship election, calls for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to field its candidate from the West Senatorial District have intensified.

On Tuesday, groups under the Coalition of Osun APC Interest Groups (COAIG) staged a solidarity walk to press their demands.

The coalition urged Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola and pioneer APC National Chairman Chief Bisi Akande to champion the selection of a candidate from the west.

Party members gathered at the Old Governor’s Office and marched to the APC Secretariat at Ogo-Oluwa, carrying placards with inscriptions such as “APC must consider balance of power,” “West candidate best option,” and “For equity, West Lokan.”

Speaking on behalf of the groups, Obafemi Amoo emphasized that selecting a candidate from the West is crucial for APC to reclaim Osun in 2026.

He pointed out that while the Osun East Senatorial District has produced a governor who served for eight years, the Central Senatorial District has held power for fifteen and a half years, including eight years under progressive leadership since 1999.

“Osun West has never had any opportunity or chance with progressives’ parties. It is evident that progressive parties from the time of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) to the APC have never considered any candidate from Osun West in their permutation, and this is promoting the unfair distribution of power and representation.”

“We only stand a chance of winning with a candidate from Osun West Senatorial District.”

Subsequently, the groups‘ coordinator and the deputy submitted their letter of demand to the APC secretariat, Osogbo.

The Director of Admin and Finance of APC, Aremu Tajudeen, who received the letter, promised to deliver the letter to the leadership of the party.

  • Oyetola will contest, win Osun 2026 governorship election—Ex-lawmaker

Oyetola will contest, win Osun 2026 governorship election—Ex-lawmaker

A former lawmaker in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has announced that he believes former governor Adegboyega Oyetola will contest and win the 2026 governorship election in the state.

In a statement on Wednesday, October 16, Oyintiloye, who represented the Obokun State Constituency, expressed that Oyetola has the first right of refusal for the governorship ticket.

He noted that Oyetola, who is currently serving as the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, is better prepared than ever to end the administration of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State come 2026.

According to him “In preparation for the task ahead, Oyetola has commenced consultation with major stakeholders to evaluate, appraise, the strength and the challenges of the APC across local government areas of the state ahead of the election.”

He further explained that Oyetola was doing that to further brighten the chances of APC and to make it a more formidable platform going into the next election.

“This strategic framework will serve as a guide in defining our vision and goals as a party. We are more than prepared to wrestle power from PDP in 2026, and the people of the state are eagerly waiting to see that happening.

“Oyetola will contest and win the 2026 governorship election in Osun. He holds the right of first refusal. and he is already doing his background work.”
