  • Pastor held for allegedly defiling teenage boy

    •Community banishes randy preacher
    •Church property set ablaze

A self-acclaimed pastor and General Overseer of the Jesus Army of Salvation Ministry in Ama-Alim Ngugo community, Ikeduru Local Government of Imo State, has been arrested for allegedly practising sodomy with a 14-year-old boy.

The suspect, Prophet Chukwunonso Okudiover, an indigene of Anambra State, was nabbed by aggrieved youths and handed over to the police after the victim reported the act to his distraught parents.

The victim’s elder brother, Francis, who spoke on his behalf, said the prophet, who also runs a patent medicine store, invited his younger brother to his shop for medical check-up, where he allegedly hypnotised him and had carnal knowledge of him.

He said: “My brother went to shave his hair after he came back from school; he was invited by the prophet to come to his shop.

“When he came into the shop, he started rubbing his chest with a liquid substance after which the boy became unconscious.”

Francis added that the randy pastor thereafter defiled the victim.

“When he came back in the evening, he told us of what happened as he complained of severe pains in his anus. When we accosted the suspect in his church, he confessed to the crime and narrated how he had defiled several other male minors.”

Francis said the youths, who heard about the incident, stormed the church and burnt all the instruments.

When The Nation visited the community, several villagers who expressed shock over the incident said the prophet had a flourishing prayer ministry which people, especially women looking for children patronise.

The people, however, said the church only holds vigils every Thursday with large turnout from within and outside the community.

The church members, who thronged the police station where the prophet was held, in apparent bid to secure his release, said: “It was temptation and no man is above trial. People should not rejoice over the fate of the prophet because such can befall any man.”

The traditional ruler of the community, Eze Polycarp Nnaeze Anugu, described the act as a sacrilege.

“The offence is an abomination and he will never return to this community. We want the police to investigate the matter to know how many people he has defiled and to know his collaborators so as to avoid a recurrence.”

Police spokesman Joy Elemoko said she was not aware of the incident as she has not been officially briefed.

  • Pastor preaches holiness

    Pastor preaches holiness

A pastor, Samson Oluwamodede, has warned students against committing sin, urging them to embrace holiness.

Oluwamodede gave the warning during a prayer session organised by the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) last Sunday.

The prayer was held at the university’s Relaxation Centre. The man of God is the founder of the Prayer Centre Church of God Worldwide. He said he was in the institution to pray for the students to be successful and to warn them against certain sinful acts, which were in contrast with the standard of God.

The prophet told the students that everything they needed to be successful in life was in Christ Jesus, adding: “all that is expected of you is holiness.”

He said: “God will come at anytime to harvest the world; there is grace and mercy for you this time, be holy as our God is holy.”

Oluwamodede, who warned the students against indulging in fornication, advised students to desist from prostitution and cultism.

He said: “Always remember the son of whom you are.” He noted that those who partook in unholy acts would not be part of the the Kingdom of God. “Malice, greed, fornication, putting on trousers and artificial hair-do by ladies can lead one to the hell fire,” he said.

Quoting 1st Corinthians 11 vs 6, the pastor warned students against worshiping in churches where female do not cover their heads and wear trousers, saying that God is not present in such churches.

He said prayer for students and management. He prayed for peace to continue to reign and rebuke the spirits of untimely death that might be hovering on every student and member of staff.

The cleric promised to always visit the school every last Sunday of the month to pray for the students. Some of the students who spoke with CAMPUSLIFE described the prayer as timely as the first semster examination approaches.

  • My pastor boyfriend talks to me only when he wants to kiss me

Good afternoon madam. I’m 16 years old. I met this man; he’s 23 years and he’s a pastor and we’re dating. Each time I visit him he doesn’t talk to me, but he will rather drop recharge cards on the bed for me to load in my phone and exchange SMS with him while we’re in the same rum. But when I leave, he will call and talk to me telling me how much he enjoyed my company. And when I’m around, he will never talk to me, the only time he looked at my face and talked was when he asked me to kiss him. Please madam, I am confused; what should Ii do? I need your advice. Reply me please. J.

Dear J, shy people find it hard to express themselves when they’re around the people they love but I doubt if your pastor boyfriend plays dumb when you’re around due to shyness. Shy people don’t play dumb, they talk, but you could tend to be uneasy when they’re around the people they love and they may not be able to lock eyes with you for a long time. They may get busy doing something to hide their uneasiness.

But not talking at all means something else. I suspect that Mr. Pastor is just playing games with you and he’s enjoying the fun the suspense is generating.

The world is full of pastors these days o! Who made him a pastor at 23? Why would he make a small girl of 23 his girlfriend? Why would he be in the same room with you and not utter a word to you and why would he drop recharge cards on the bed for you?

Watch how you go visiting this queer guy alone. The Ibos (I think) have a saying that one day, monkey go go market, e no go return. I pray he won’t make a monkey out of you. He has started by dropping

recharge cards for you on the bed and asking you to kiss him. It will progress from there as you encourage him in this deaf and dumb game.

He will ask you to touch something one day and from there others things may set in.

J, your age mates these days are discovering their talents and making good use of it. There are so many of your age mates in the university now going after course work and all other important things. A lot of your age mates who are not so lucky to be in schools are learning vocations that will make them better people. Face what’s important and let Pastor go and face church work. His own pastor is one of the bad ones that will ask a small girl to meet him in the bedroom. Please give me his full names and the name of his church; I will help you find out if their church doctrines allow unmarried people of different sexes to stay together in a room.
