    Past BBNaija winners undeserving – Pere Egbi

    Reality star, Pere Egbi, has said that winners from previous seasons of BBNaija might not have succeeded if the show took place in a different country.

    He asserted that Nigerians are not ready for reality TV shows.

    Speaking on Celebrity Quickies, Pere expressed doubts about the excellence of past BBNaija winners, proposing that if the show were held in South Africa or America, the outcomes might have been different.

    He hinted at a lack of logical voting among Nigerians during the show, suggesting a tendency toward one-track-mindedness instead.

    Despite appearing on the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ season in 2021 and ‘All-Stars’ edition in 2023, Pere said he won’t accept to be on the show again if the opportunity presents itself.

    He said: “My experience in the Big Brother Naija house was a rollercoaster. I had different encounters with different people, experiences that gave me something. Overall, it was good.

    “But if I was asked to go back in the [BBNaija] House again, I would not. Simply because I feel Nigerians are not ready for reality TV. A bunch of Nigerians who vote for these guys in these shows in Nigeria, especially, Big Brother, are just one-track-minded.

    “I’m being honest, if this was a South African or American show, I don’t think the people who won would win, because Nigerians vote out of pity.”

    Former Big Brother Naija housemates, Neo Akpofure and Pere Egbi have declared their interest to get settled legally with their spouses.

    This follows the trend of wedding ceremonies amongst past Big Brother Naija male housemates.

    The duo expressed their interest in getting married to the love of their lives soon.

    Recall that former BBNaija housemates Chizzy Francis and Leo Da Silva recently tied the knot with their heartthrobs, joining Tobi Bakre, Teddy A, Gedoni, and Frodd in the growing list of married BBNaija male stars.

    Reacting to a viral tweet commending male BBNaija ex-housemates for prioritizing marriage; Neo said he was “next.”

    The tweet read: “Tobi, Frodd, Chizzy, and now Leo are married. Next week Bitto too will marry. Nothing concern BBN boys and building brand. Love it for them. We await the ladies”, to which Neo replied, “I’m next.”

    Replying to Neo’s tweet, Pere wrote, “We might both be next simultaneously.”

    Meanwhile, another former BBNaija housemate, Omashola Oburoh, aka Sholzy, has announced that he will be getting married to his South African girlfriend, Britnee, in December.

    BBNaija reality star, Pere Egbi has revealed boldly chosen his inhouse lover Mercy Eke over Kim Oprah.

    In the latest episode of Clout Africa’s Getting Persona, Cross asked Pere who he preferred if he were to choose between KimOprah and Mercy, and without hesitation, Pere picked the latter.

    Cross asked: “Pere, be honest if you were to choose between Mercy Eke and KimOprah, who would you choose?”

    Pere responded: “Mercy Eke 1000 times. I’ll choose Mercy Eke aka Lamborghini.”

    The Nation reported that houseguest KimOprah was in an entanglement triangle with best friends, Cross and Pere during her three-week stint in the just concluded BBNaija All Stars season.

    Pere’s inability to admit that she later ditched him for Cross made him engage in a verbal altercation with Doyin who confronted him with the harsh reality.

    However, Pere later found solace in Mercy Eke towards the twilight of the show.

    Pere Egbi denies knowing colleague Alex unusual

    Former BBNaija All-Stars housemate, Pere abruptly cut short a question and answer video at the mention of his colleague, Alex’s name while denying to knowing her.

    Pere, during the reality show, had an intense altercation with his colleague, Doyin and expressed anger by punching through a wall.

    The ‘General’ as he is fondly called also fought Alex Unusual over a bed space and he had flipped the mattress while Alex was on it.

    Speaking in a recent video that surfaced online, he addressed his punching through a wall.

    Pere maintained that what he did was perfectly normal behavior, since people occasionally break things.

    When asked about his second fight with Alex, he feigned ignorance and denied knowing who Alex is.

    “Who’s Alex? I’m not talking about her,” he said.
