    Big Brother Naija star Pere Egbi has defended Ugo Nwoke, the husband of actress Sharon Ooja, for alleged multiple marriages.

    Pere claimed that Ugo’s cousin is his friend and confirmed that Ugo has only been married once, contradicting reports of him having three previous marriages and three children.

     Pere expressed amusement at how quickly people believe negative stories without verifying their authenticity, and criticised blogs for prioritising sensationalism over truth.

    He stated that there’s nothing wrong with remarrying and emphasised the importance of seeking accurate information before jumping to conclusions.

    “Her husband’s cousin is my really good friend in Dallas. It’s funny how people read things, and because they are gullible, they believe it. And how blogs are just so focused on negative things to carry any kind of story amazes me. They don’t care about the authenticity; they just carry it. Her husband’s cousin confirmed the same thing to me. Married once. And there’s nothing wrong with being married once,” he wrote.

    Former Big Brother Naija All-Stars housemate and actor, Pere Egbi has disclosed that he is currently not in a relationship.

    In a recent interview with Nollywood actress, Chinasa Anukam, Pere said that he hasn’t been on a romantic date for a long time as he also revealed his ideal woman.

    He said: “I am very single, like a slice of an American cheese. I can’t remember the last time I was on a date. I don’t do dates. I do smash and dash.

    “But when it comes to dating, I like my woman beautiful, drop-jaw gorgeous.”

    Recall that Pere and Mercy were widely tipped by fans for a romantic relationship at the twilight of the BBNaija All Stars show.

    However, Pere debunked reports that he and Mercy were dating.

    Reality TV star, Pere Egbi said that he refrains from owning a car because he doesn’t view it as an investment.

    He berated those who squander their money on exotic cars, stressing that landed properties and businesses are assets but not cars.

    Speaking in the latest episode of the Spill With Phyna podcast, Pere said: “Car no be investment. A house is an asset, a business is an asset. Using all your savings to buy cars is unnecessary.

    “Right now, I don’t own a car. I used to drive a brand new lexus LS570 but I sold it because I needed to put the money into my film. It’s an investment. At the end of the day, I made more from the film.”

    He also disclosed in the podcast that he got married at the age of 25 in the United States.

    He said his marriage crashed because his ex-wife suspected that he was having an affair with a female friend.

    Former Big Brother Naija All-Stars housemate, Pere Egbi has accused some of his co-stars of living a fake life for the public’s aesthetics.  

    He argued that a lot of them flaunt lifestyles that are far out of their reach on social media.

    Pere made the allegation in the latest episode of the ‘Spill With Phyna’ podcast, hosted by Big Brother Naija Level Up winner, Josephina Otabor, aka Phyna.

    He said: “Some of our BBN colleagues dey live fake life well well. A lot of them.”

    The host, Phyna agreed with him, citing the claim by Khloe, a former Big Brother Naija housemate, who said she hasn’t flown in the economy class before.

    Pere described Khloe’s claim as “nonsense”.

    Reality star Pere Egbi has reacted to a tweet of his colleague, Vee on X app (formerly called Twitter) of how he would be a big fool to settle for anything less.

    Vee posted that she would not settle for less because she would be a fool for doing so.

    Reality star Pere Egbi has revealed that he and his love interest, Mercy Eke have decided to keep their relationship off social media. 

    The Nation reported that the duo fell in love at the twilight of the just concluded BBNaija All Stars season, and have been maintaining a low profile as regards their relationship since coming out of the show.

    Speaking in a recent interview with TVC, Pere said they are cool but have decided to go low-key with their relationship.

    He said: “We are friends and we are just keeping everything out of the public. Let’s see where it goes.”

    On the post-show drama going online, especially between female housemates, Pere said, “Women are full of drama. So, they are just doing them. And they’re just being women. Maybe we would all just sit down with some popcorn and watch the drama unfold.”

    He said if he had the chance to change anything he did in the House, he would be “a lot more firmer. I took it easy on a lot of the housemates and they were lucky. Because if they were in my season ‘Shine Ya Eye’ 2019, dem for hear am.”

    Big Brother Naija reality show star, Pere Egbi, has announced his decision to relocate to Ghana from Nigeria.

    Pere and Mercy were not particularly close in the house until the eleventh hour when they surprised fans with a chemistry never seen before.
