Watford Rebukes Isaac Success After Affair with Prostitutes, Police Arrest

He said, “He needs to be careful – everyone needs to be careful – and know the right way,” said the Portuguese Silva.

“Everybody at the club knows the rules and their obligations as a professional.”

“What we are talking about is one situation in September,” added Silva, who refused to reveal whether Watford would discipline the Nigerian striker.

One would hope that Success who joined the Hornets for a then club-record fee of £12.5m from Spanish club Granada in August 2016, signing a five-year contract would adhere to the warning as his future with the club maybe put on the line.

Isaac success has yet to future for the Premier League side this season. He managed just one goal from 19 games last season, netting against Bournemouth over a year ago. However, he now faces eight weeks out with injury following a knee injury sustained in training.

“We expect six to eight weeks,” said Silva. “It’s a knee injury, a problem he had in one session here.”

“It was a normal situation and looked nothing special at that moment but after examinations, the problem is bigger and now we need to wait for him.”

Success’ sole appearance for Watford this season came as a second-half substitute in their 3-2 defeat by Bristol City in the Carabao Cup in August.

Two Prostitutes held for ‘killing’ customer

The police in Ogun have arrested two commercial sex workers for allegedly killing a customer, Adeyinka Olayinka.

The incident occurred at KS Hotel, Ifo on Tuesday.

According to the police, Kudirat Raji alias Angela and Esther Basiru were said to have stabbed Olayinka with a broken bottle during an argument.

Spokesman for the command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent (ASP) said the victim contracted Raji for the night but the duo had an argument over the price.

Oyeyemi said: “The victim was supervising an ongoing construction work on his property and so he spent the night at the hotel. He contracted Kudirat Raji to pass the night with him on an agreed amount but reneged on their agreement.

“His refusal to pay the agreed amount led to a hot argument between them. While the argument was going on, Esther Basiru, a friend to Angela broke a bottle and injured the deceased’s friend who was at the scene.

“Angela used the broken part of the bottle to stab the deceased on the armpit thereby cutting one of his nerves, consequent upon which he bled to death.

  • New names emerge for HIV and AIDS, prostitutes

New names emerge for HIV and AIDS, prostitutes

A team of Nigerian linguists and medical experts have adopted new names for HIV, AIDS and prostitutes in Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba as part of the strategy to reduce the scourge of stigmatisation.
Professor Herbert Igboanusi of the University of Ibadan said yesterday in a statement that the adoption was to eliminate stigmatisation of and discrimination against persons living with HIV and AIDS.
He said that the study adopted the following names as more appropriate for the HIV and AIDS.
HIV in Igbo is Ori Nchekwa meaning something that fights or weakens the body immunity while AIDS is Mminw, a condition that causes emaciation.
The Yorùbá term for HIV is Kòkòrò Apa Sójà Ara (KASA), meaning sickness that which kills the body immunity while AIDS is ààrùn ìsodole àjesára a sickness that completely weakens body immune system.
In Hausa, HIV is now Karya garkuwa meaning that which weakens the body immune system while Kanjamau a sickness capable of emaciating one’s body has been chosen for AIDS.
Igboanusi said that the study was a two-year research titled “A metalanguage for HIV, AIDS and Ebola discourses in Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba” sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).
He asked speakers of the three languages to adhere to the use of these chosen terms in order to avoid confusing HIV with AIDS and consequently reduce their spread through behavioural change.
“It is the researchers’ belief that behavioural change is only possible when the people are familiar with the appropriate terminology for HIV and AIDS in their own languages.”
Similarly, the experts adopted a new name for commercial sex workers in line with international practice.
“Since it is now more acceptable to refer to certain persons as “commercial sex workers” rather than “prostitutes”, we agreed on Ndi mkwaughari, which is people who hang around for them in Igbo.
Gbélé pawó, women who stay at home making money in Yoruba and Mata masu zaman kansu that is women who are living independently in Hausa.

Senate plans sack of beggars, prostitutes, others in FCT

The Senate yesterday said that it has mandated the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Commissioner and Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to evacuate beggars, hoodlums and commercial sex workers from the streets of the FCT.

Chairman, Senate Committee on FCT, Senator Dino Melaye, stated this at a media briefing in Abuja.

Melaye, (Kogi West) said that his committee invited the police commissioner and NSCDC commandant to brief them about the growing insecurity in the FCT and the need to take steps to curb the trend.

He noted that the Senate as an institution is appalled with the security situation in Abuja.

He said, “Last week we summoned the commissioner of police FCT and the commandant of NSCDC because as a committee and the Senate we are appalled with the security situation in Abuja.

“We are also very uncomfortable with the number of hoodlums on the streets of Abuja. We have beggars, destitute, commercial sex workers spread across every nook and cranny of the city and we have given a marching order to the commissioner of police and the commandment of NSCDC” to clear them.

“We have also instructed the FCT to provide logistics for the immediate evacuation of all dissidents, beggars including those little boys who claim they are helping you to clean your glass by so doing they are adding additional dents to your cars.”

Melaye said that the committee also invited Managing Directors of banks operating in the Federal capital city and 15 banks attended.

He noted that the essence of the meeting with the MDs was to seek ways to correct and ameliorate the problem associated with environmental sanitation of the FCT.

He said, “We discovered that despite the fact that hundreds of millions spent from budgetary provisions of FCT annually paid to contractors for the maintenance of street lights and the maintenance of all the streets and environment of Abuja is not yielding any positive results.

“So, the committee decided to invite these banks and in line with their corporate social responsibility to the FCT, their host community that we are going to share all the major streets in Abuja to banks.

“These banks will now do the maintenance of street lights and be responsible for the environmental sanitation of all the streets, beautification of roundabouts where you have them and by so doing they will also have the logo of their companies or their brands advertised on the street lights.

“This is not a new trend across the globe and we want to believe that this will check wastage and it will also help to block leakages.

“The several millions paid to contractors for the maintenance of street lights and keeping the environment tidy and clean will be saved and this can now go to the development of satellite towns and provisions of infrastructural facilities in the suburbs of Abuja.

Since we are in recession, we discovered that we must think outside the box. Not only banks even other corporate organisations in Abuja have decided and we have 18 corporate organisations that have accepted to work with us in this regard alongside 15 banks.

“In fact some of the companies that are into land swap business in Abuja have agreed

The suspects, Taoreed Ashimiyu, 24, and Kayode Jolaade, 34, were allegedly caught in the act by policemen after they had successfully removed three phones from commuters in different BRT buses.

Upon their arrival at the RRS headquarters, the duo reportedly confessed to the crime, saying that they were experts in robbing commuters in Mile 12 and Maryland.

One of the suspects, Taoreed, who hails from Yemetu, Alawada in Oyo state, said that he spent the proceeds from stealing on prostitutes.

“I have not spent a dime from my proceeds in stealing on anything tangible. I womanise a lot and I spent my monies on both young and old ladies. I smoked indian-hemp and drink all sort of hard drinks,” he said.

“My accomplice caused my arrest today. Before he joined me at Maryland, I had stolen two phones successfully.

” But when he came around, we had to be moving in pair. People who had known him in the area were monitoring us ,unknown to us,” Taoreed stated in his confessional statement.

  • Models Are Not Prostitutes campaign flags off

Models Are Not Prostitutes campaign flags off

Disturbed about the public’s perception of models, the organisers of ‘Models on the Island’ (MOTI), Twin Image Concept, have initiated a campaign tagged Models Are Not Prostitutes.

Speaking recently at a press conference to unveil the winners of the just concluded MOTI, a 5-day camping experience, Joseph Etim, said that they were worried about the position of models in Nigeria.

“Twin Image Concept is running a campaign tagged Models Are Not Prostitutes and over 5, 000 models will be involved. We want all the winners in our camping exercises to come together to push this particular project. Though modelling agencies make it look like the profession is meant for prostitutes, we want to enlighten our parents that there is dignity and reward in modelling. It is a profession one can earn a living from, but most agencies ask for sex before they give out jobs. It is wrong to sell your body to get a job,” he narrated.

The co-founder of Twin Image explained that MOTI was a camping exercise for models to empower them on acting, television commercials, photography, modelling and other areas of entertainment.

“We had the first edition last year. This year we camped 80 models at the Tarkwa Bay Beach in Lagos and the grand finale was held on Easter Monday. We have our king, queen and the face of Ghana. This edition was open to contestants in and outside Nigeria.”

Emmanuel Etim, Joseph’s twin, stressed that they were determined to bring back the pride of models in Africa.

MOTI’s new queen, Tracy Solomon, admitted that it was hard to emerge winner as she competed with 80 ladies.

“We were given lots of tasks with little time. It was not easy. I am embarking on my pet project very soon as a way of giving back to the society. It would be on malaria because it kills people every day, especially children. I would be organising seminars to educate people on the causes, effects and treatments of malaria. We are taking the crusade to schools, hospitals, rural communities among others.”
