    Having an opportunity to feature in a movie with her on-screen mom after a long while, sparked nostalgic feelings in Gina.

    “I remember boasting to my friends in primary school that you were my biological mother … You are always available to guide, advise, and scold me. You have been an inspiration mummy in practically every aspect of my life.

    I didn’t know there was cash scarcity in Nigeria- Regina Daniels

    Actress and wife of billionaire, Regina Daniels, has claimed that she was not aware there was naira scarcity earlier in the year. 

    The Nation recalls that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in a bid to implement the cashless policy redesigned the N200, N500 and N1000 Naira notes.

    The policy generated uproar among many Nigerians with the new noted unavailable and the old notes rejected for business transactions.

    During the period, many Nigerians could not access their money in banks, which negatively affected businesses.

    Amidst the Naira scarcity, Regina Daniels took to her Instagram page to flaunt a bunch of new Naira notes from her husband, Ned Nwoko, infuriating many Nigerians.

    Addressing the backlash in an interview with BBC Pidgin, the movie star said she was unaware of the Naira scarcity that trailed the redesign of some banknotes.

    Regina acknowledged that she didn’t realise the hardship that followed the redesign until she posted the Naira notes online.

    She said: “Personally, I don’t use cash to buy anything at all. In fact I don’t hold cash, so during that cashless policy, I was not even aware that there was such policy, because I don’t use cash. So I did not really see it from other people’s perspective that there was a crisis in the country, until I posted.

    “I told my husband then to send me some cash because I wanted to buy food at a location. So, he sent the cash and I made a Snapchat and posted it. When I started seeing people’s reactions, I was surprised until I was told of the cashless policy.

    “After seeing how people reacted to it, I had to delete the post. But that time I really felt bad because people won’t understand that I did not really know,” she said.

    The young mother of two shared in a recent interview with BBC Pidgin how much her ‘odogwu’ hubby pampers and spoils her with whatever she desires.

    She also mentioned how they go through the comment sections of her post online and enjoy a good laugh at individuals with wrong perfection of their union

    She said: “My husband is a real Odogwu. If I want to sleep for one week, he will allow me to sleep and make sure no one disturbs me. 

    “He doesn’t allow me to cook or clean. He gives me anything I want without thinking too much about it.

    “My marriage is sweeter than what you post on social media. Whenever I come online and see people saying that I am suffering in my marriage I show him the message and we laugh.”

    The Nollywood diva got married to her billionaire politician in 2019, becoming his sixth wife.

    The topic of their union trended online for months unending, stirring a lot of controversies due to the 38-year age difference between them as Daniels was 19 and Nwoko, 59 at the time.

    They are blessed with two sons, Munir and Khalifa born on the same day and month but two years apart.
