    Fans nudge Falz and Simi on

    Known to always give a good performance as duo, Simi and Falz, who have had a couple of collaborations, drew traffic on their social page yesterday after the release of new pictures.

    The pictures so far, have many of their fans urging the two to take their relationship a notch higher, from business to intimate.

    The duo who, going by comments from fans, look good together as couple, is yet to comment on the concept behind the pictures.  Although it is reported to be the photo shoot for their upcoming joint EP.

    One of the photos that show a gorgeous Simi dressed in a lovely red dress, with Falz standing behind her with a huge smile on his face, look like one of the many pre-wedding pictures.

    Another photograph had the two dressed in winter outfit; Simi carrying a box on her head with Falz at akimbo, depicting them as having returned to the country from a long search for greener pastures.

    Earlier this year, the rapper sparked off more speculations about his having an affair with singer Simi after he posted a photo on Instagram on Wednesday, May 4. Also in April 2015, Falz was said to have revealed a lot on Channels TV concerning his career, creativity as well as relationship with the X3m Music singer.

    Simi serenades fans with Outta My Head

    X3M Record’s first lady, Simi, has dropped another single, Outta My Head, featuring label mate, Praiz.

    Outta My Head begins with piano strings and a mid-tempo beat, accompanied by Simi’s now familiar vocal style. It is a playful yet serious meditation on infatuation and the downsides of a love gone sour. The song narrates the feeling of being hung up on a lover who has caused some pain in the past

    Produced by Oscar Heman-Ackah, Outta My Head sees Praiz bringing his smooth baritone to bear. Outta My Head is Simi’s second single of the year. Within the past year, she has serenaded her fans with songs like Jamb Question, Open and Close and most recently, Love Don’t Care.

    The release of the track is accompanied by a promotional music video directed by Josh Clarke and shot in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    Born Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, the 28-year-old songbird is a Mass Communications graduate of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State. Simi, who doubles as a sound engineer, started performing in her early teens as a member of the teenage church choir. Her debut album, Ogaju, produced by Samklef was released in 2008 and an EP, Restless, followed in 2014.

    Simi won the Best Promising Act at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Award and is named on YNaija.com’s New Establishment List for 2016.

    Simi drops sensational visual for Love Don’t Care

    Aiding on the wide acceptance garnered by her single, Love Don’t Care, released on Valentine’s Day, X3M Music label’s artiste, Simi has released a video for the track.

    The love ballad speaks of a love that soars above tribal and social prejudices. Known for her comedic storytelling lines with evocative messages, Simi showcased her artistic taste in this video. The use of space and African prints in the video perfectly balances the folktale imagery of the song.

    The video opens with Simi lying on a bed. Another character playing her mother is also seated on the bed making a call while Simi beautifully sings. The video follows similar narratives, carefully making the characters glued to their part without direct communication with the singer. The video ends with Simi returning to her bed.

    Directed by Clarence Peters, the video subtly takes viewers down memory lane with iconic images of Nigeria’s history, reminding us that in our diversity lies our unity.

    Born SimisolaBolatitoOgunleye, Simi, a Mass Communications graduate, wrote her very first tune at the age of 10 and started out singing and dancing in her early teens as a member of the teenage church choir. Eventually, she went on to launch her debut album in 2008, which was produced by Samklef.

    She describes her genre of music as Afro-pop, although she also dabbles in pop and soul. Her two singles, Tiffand E No Go Funny, off her upcoming sophomore album, dropped on June 9th 2014.

    THE might come across as a neophyte but sultry singer, Simi has said that she is ready to give her peers in the music industry a run for their money. Speaking with The Nation recently, the songstress, who featured in Falz’s much talked about video Soldier, says that she doesn’t feel threatened by anybody.

    “This is not because I don’t think anybody else is good, it’s just that there is enough room for anybody to fly. I’m not trying to compete, so anytime I see someone trying to do amazing things, I always pray for the best for everybody. I’m glad that we have more females that are standing out in the industry because usually, it’s really hard,” she says.

    On her forth-coming album, the Love Don’t Care crooner says that all hands are on deck towards a successful outcome. “I won’t be disclosing the number of tracks and title for now because it is still in the works, but my fans should rest assured that the album will drop this year all things possible,” she revealed.

    Simi advises fans in new love track

    Sultry vocalist, Simisola Ogunleye, better known as Simi, has taken advantage of the season of love to dish out a word of advice to her teeming fans in the new track, Love Don’t Care.

    In the track, which is mixed and mastered by Simi with a display of rhythmic feel of the Guitar by Fiokee and produced by Oscar, Simi uses the song to tell her fans that love goes beyond tribe, money, status, race or belief.

    She tells her listeners that it doesn’t matter who they are in love with; Omoyibo or Yoruba, banker or teacher, love doesn’t care who you are or the size of your possession.

    Love Don’t Care is the perfect love song that is sure to remind my true fans about my soulful journey with I do, released in 2011,” says the singer.

    Simi who warmed her way into the hearts of Nigerians with the release of her songs, Ara-IleTiff and Jamb Question recently released a dance video Open and Close.

    Her song, Jamb Question got an amazing review from prominent Nigerian filmmaker and entertainment critic, Charles Novia. She was recently made the YNaija/Y! Africa Magazine New Establishment List 2016 and bagged three nominations at the just concluded Headies Awards and won The Most Promising Act at the NEA and City People Awards 2015. Her outstanding talent together with her mastery of music and sound has made her songs some of the most aired songs on Nigerian airwaves.

    Coming back was a bit of struggle, says Simi

    X3M Music signee, Simi, in an interview with Channels TV, revealed that it was not easy coming back to the music scene after a break. According to the singer, who has been doing music for close to a decade, “It was a bit of struggle making a comeback.

    “I have been doing music for nine years. I can remember that along the line, we had to shoot a little scene at the cinema to reintroduce me. I am a storyteller, and I like to tap into stories that affect all of us. There is this new song that has been finished, but could not be released because of the elections. I have lots of yet-to-be released songs.” Simi currently has two singles out, Tiff and E no go funny.
