    SINGER Adekunle Temitope, who is more known as Small Doctor, has welcomed his fourth child, a baby girl.

    Small Doctor who already has three kids from three different mothers, shocked everyone as his fourth baby mama, Agbeke, gave birth to a baby girl  in Canada.

    Although he is yet to make any statement regarding the news, fans have started to send mixed messages to the Nigerian singer.

    Many are sending to him their congratulatory messages while some have taken to social media to blast him for fathering four children from four different women as they believe he is an advocate of promiscuity and polygamy.

  • Prioritise construction of Agege bridge, says Small Doctor

    Musician Adekunle Temitope popularly called ‘Small Doctor’ has urged Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to impress it on the incoming administration to prioritise the construction of Agege bridge.

    The artiste, who spoke at the weekend at Agege Stadium as African legends gathered for a testimonial match in honour of Governor Ambode, said: “Neighbouring areas have their own bridges. I want to take pictures on Agege Pen-Cinema Bridge and send them worldwide. Please impress it on Governor-elect Babajide Sanwo-Olu to prioritise the project.”

  • Why we signed Small Doctor as brand ambassador, by betting company

    POPULAR Nigerian street music singer, Adekunle Temitope, aka Small Doctor, has been unveiled as the new brand ambassador for the country’s fast growing bet outfit, Winners Golden Bet.

    Speaking at the unveiling which held at the company’s new headquarter in Lagos, Executive Director of WGB, Olabanji Sulaiman, said the partnership signals the beginning of an interesting brand relationship between the fast growing bet outfit – Winners Golden Bet and the national pride and singing sensation, Small Doctor.

    “The base of Small Doctor’s music is grassroot and our business is too grassroot. You also remember he sang ‘Aja n sare’ which also relates to our business, the ‘Dog Race’ which is part of our product.     WHEN Coca-Cola announced its new partnership with the English Premier League, the world’s number one football league, the atmosphere was further charged with performances by Small Doctor, Zoro and Kaffy.

    Thus, entertainment met football at the unveiling ceremony which held recently at iMax Cinema, Lekki, Lagos. After a public screening of the Arsenal Vs Tottenham league match, the event reached a climax with an exhilarating after-party.

  • Jaywon, Small Doctor others thrill at Chelsea Beach Fiesta

    Nigeria’s premium gin – Chelsea London Dry Gin ended 2018 on a memorable note, hosting consumers to an end of year beach carnival tagged ‘Catching Fun with Jaywon’.

    The music fiesta which was held at Barracuda Beach Resort, Lagos, had artistes like Small Doctor, Jaywon, Dotman, Joeel, Solidstar, Slimcase, Dremo and a host of upcoming artistes.

  • My friends thought Omo Better Concert was a joke – Small Doctor

    Despite his recent brush with the police few days to his Omo Better concert, hip hop act Small Doctor last Sunday held his first ever music concert at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.

    Hosted by Shody, Hardvantge and Toyin Abraham, the show which commenced at 7pm started with a build-up of fans which eventually reached over 10, 000.

    While a lot of up and coming acts showed off their talents on stage, a myriad of stars also graced the show. Performing to the crowd were the likes of Mayorkun, L.A.X, CDQ, Idowest, Mr Real, Reminice, Oritse Femi and Vector. Others were keleverjay, Demmievee Vee, Junior Boy, klever Jay, Wale Turner and Barry Jhay.

    Disc Jockeys like DJ Spinall, DJ Lambo, DJ Kaywise, DJ Khoded and DJ Enimoney were also on ground to man the wheels of steel just as comedians Seyi Law, Ushbebe, Woli Arole, Kenny Blaq, Ijebu and others kept the crowd reeling with laughter.

    The major highpoints of the event was when Small Doctor performed some of his major hits alongside Mayorkun, Reminisce, DJ Enimoney and others.

    While appreciating his fans for their support, Small Doctor said: “When I picked Agege Stadium as the venue for Omo Better Concert Which was announced in less than a month to the date, my friends and people around me thought it was a joke. Nobody believed it will be sold out but I believed in GOD and my fans to make it work, they never let me down. A very big thank you to my Mother and everyone that showed me love, God bless.   • Small Doctor, three band men get N5m bail each

    •Court bound them to be of good behaviour

    An Ebute Metta Chief Magistrates’ Court yesterday granted hip-hop artiste Temitope Adekunle aka Small Doctor and three of his band men N5 million each.

    The other are Dare Osho, Sanusi Lateef and Hussein Darego.

    Chief Magistrate A. O. Komolafe also bound them to be of good behavior for one year.

    The orders were at the instance of the police, which sought that they be bound for 12-months “not to engage, recruit, instigate or incite any resident of Shogunle and Lagos State by extension, to cause breach of the peace within or outside the community”.

    The police supported their application with a seven-paragraph affidavit deposed to by Inspector Kasali Saturani.

    ICYMI: Musician, “Small Doctor”, others arrested for alleged firearm possession

    Saturani averred that the defendants were found with a double barrel pistol at Shogunle.

    Small Doctor was represented by his counsel, Mr. Yakubu Eleto. Akeem Shittu represented the others.

    Prosecutor Cyril Ajifor, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), prayed the court for an order that Small Doctor and the others should enter into a recognisance with sureties to keep the peace in Shogunle and its environs for one year.

    Ajifor also prayed for an order that the defendants “should not engage, recruit, instigate or incite any member of the community to cause breach of the public peace within or outside the community” for same period.

     

  • Illegal possession of firearms: Court frees Small Doctor

    An Ebute Metta Chief Magistrates’ Court Tuesday released hip pop musician, Temitope Adekunle, a.k.a. Small Doctor and three of his band members on a bail bond of N5 million each.

    Chief Magistrate (Mrs)  A. O. Komolafe who granted bail to the musicians also bounded them for one year “, not to engage, recruit, instigate or incite any member of the Shogunle community and Lagos State by extension, to cause breach of public peace or disturb peace within or outside the community.”

    Co-defendants in the suit filed by the Police against the musicians are Dare Osho, Sanusi Lateef and Hussein Darego.

    Chief Magistrate Komolafe gave the orders while ruling in a motion exparte brought before the court by the Police from the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (SCIID), Panti-Yaba, Lagos against the defendants.

    In the suit marked 3564/2018, the Police had prayed the court for a bidding order against “Small Doctor” and co-defendants.

    The application was supported with a seven-paragraph affidavit deposed to by Inspector Kasali Saturani.

    Saturani had stated in the affidavit that the defendants were allegedly found in possession of a double barrel pistol at Shogunle area of the state.

    The musician was represented during proceedings Tuesday by his counsel, Mr. Yakubu Eleto, while Akeem Shittu represented others.

    Prosecuting Police officer, Cyril Ajifor, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), while arguing the application, had prayed the court for an order requiring ‘Small Doctor” and other defendants to execute or enter into a recognizance with sureties to keep the peace in Shogunle and its environs of Lagos, for a period of one year.

    Ajifor also asked the court for an order that the defendants, “should not engage, recruit, instigate or incite any member of the community to cause breach of public peace or disturb peace within or outside the community” for same period.

    He had also asked for other orders as the court may deem fit.

    ASP Ajifor told the court that the order sought against the musicians was predicated on three grounds and a written address stating reasons why the court should grant the application.

    Upon hearing from the police lawyer, Chief Magistrate Komolafe granted all the orders as sought by the Police in their motion exparte.

  • Police arrest popular musician Small Doctor

    The police in Lagos have arrested popular musician Adekunle Temitope aka Small Doctor and three of his band members for alleged illegal possession of firearms.

    They were nabbed around Oshodi after threatening to shoot traffic policemen, Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal said yesterday.

    The commissioner, said to have paraded the suspects before few reporters who were at the command headquarters, frowned at the artiste’s conduct.

    He said he had a pending case at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos.

    Edgal alleged that the musician opened fire at his show in Agege, which left four persons injured.

    He said: “You would have thought the incident would have made him to be wiser, but surprisingly today (yesterday), I got a situation report from traffic monitors on Oshodi Expressway alleging that four gunmen in green unregistered Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) threatened to shoot them.

    “He brought out a gun and threatened to shoot the policemen. Fortunately, the DPO and other policemen at Shogunle intercepted the suspects and arrested them.

    “When they were brought here, it was discovered that one of them was the same Adekunle Temitope aka Small Doctor with three others. They were arrested with a functional rifle, a cartridge and personal items.

    “I am concerned, as one will expect that a popular musician like him will be a role model, but his character is nothing to emulate.”

    The police boss urged celebrities to stop involving in activities that do not portray them well.

  • Small Doctor assembles stars for ‘Omo Better’ concert

    Street hip hop sensation, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly knwon as Small Doctor, has assembled many stars to perform at his Omo Better concert.

    Already, the show scheduled to hold on December 9, 2018 at the Agege Stadium, Lagos, by 12pm, will be hosted by Toyin Abraham, Shody and Do2dtun. And so far, via his Instagram page, Small Doctor has confirmed the attendance and performance of stars like Duncan Mighty, DJ Enimoney, DJ Spinall, Lax, Jaywon, Harry Song, CDQ, Mr Real, Reekado Banks, Dany S, Reminsce and Vector.

    A largely self-made artiste, Small Doctor’s work ethics and move to challenge stereotypes have paid off well. In a November Instagram post, he had said he initiated the idea of a concert all by himself.

    “The very first time I announced my concert on stage, my whole team got sshocked,” he wrote.

    “The idea was first conceptualize(d) all by myself in the GreenRoom. I picked a date, and my own venue.”

    With entrance fee pegged at N500, Small Doctor confirmed via his Instagram page that the first 2, 000 attendees to the show will get free food, courtesy of Kokun Foundation.

    Small Doctor who lived his formative years in Agege, Lagos continuously uses his influence to represent and promote the city.

    With many hit songs to his credit, he also goes by the moniker, ‘Omo Iya Teacher’ (child of  ateacher) and ‘Omo Better,’ the name which inspired the title of his concert.
