    When everyone left, you stood by me, Spyro celebrates mum on birthday

    Rising singer, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David aka Spyro has celebrated his mother’s birthday with a touching epistle of how she struggled and strive for success.

    Taking to his Instagram page, he expressed unshaken and absolute love for his mother while referring to her as the only beautiful woman he knows.

    The ‘Who’s Your Guy’ crooner appreciated his mother’s unwavering support, emphasising that she stood by him when others had doubts and supported his music career.

    Spyro also revealed how witnessing her struggle to make ends meet despite her sacrifices for their family deeply affected him.

    “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, the only fine girl that I know … seeing you live a substandard life even after all your investment in us broke my heart, I turned to GOD and prayed my heart out as I just want to give you the best of life and I will forever serve him for answering …

    “When everyone turned their backs on me, you stood your ground for me … You supported me when I chose to do music even tho you were not sure about it … Pls guys help me say a big prayer for my mum today. momma jaye lo, you can have whatever you like,” he wrote.

    Singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David aka Spyro has claimed he is not into  drinking, smoking and womanising. 

    Spyro recently bought a new mansion and car for his mother.

    In a new statement that provided more details about his personal life, he assured fans that he doesn’t smoke, drink and womanise.

    “Even to this day, I do not smoke, I don’t drink, and I don’t engage in relationships with women or any other sort of bad habits,” he claimed. 

    Curious interviewer asked what he meant by not pursuing relationship with women, the ‘Who is your Guy’ crooner responded that he isn’t gay.

    Fast rising artiste Oludipe Oluwasanmi David aka Spyro, has surprised his mother with a brand new car.

    Spyro‘s ‘Who is your guy’ brought him to limelight and more wealth after featuring Tiwa Savage on his hit song. 

    The singer bought a multi millionaire house a few weeks ago after purchasing one a few months ago.

    His mother was spotted praying for him while anointing the car in the video posted on the singer’s official page.

    “Bought the ONLY FINE GIRL I KNOW a beautiful gift, told her to come over that I was dropping my album and I needed her help, she had no clue …and in shock she asked if I remembered when I was a baby and I told her I would buy her this kinda of car … I can’t even remember saying such tho .
    It’s the way she pulled out anointing oil for me tho  it’s a default setting. CONGRATS MOMMA …love you now and forever”, he wrote.

    “Omo she still de pray as I de type now sef ,somebody save me it’s 2 hours already o,” he wrote.

    Fast rising singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David aka Spyro has shown off

    his newly acquired multi-million home on social media.

    This comes weeks after he showed off a multi-million naira building during his birthday celebration.

    In his celebratory post, Spyro expressed gratitude for the support of @premiumhomes1 and mentioned that more exciting things are yet to come in the year.

    Taking to his media page he wrote: “Another One … NEW MUSIC ,NEW HOME The year ain’t over yet for miracles to happen stay believing and consistent.”

    Fast-rising singer, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David aka Spyro marked his birthday over the weekend with a reflection on how he entered 2023 broke.

    The ‘Who is your guy’ singer, said he started off the year with just N10,000 in his account adding that he was constantly begging to make and earn a living for himself.

    But now, evidence abounds of God’s goodness surrounds him and his Maker has made him a household name.

    He showed off his achievements which include, AFRIMMA 2023 award, 88 million views on YouTube for Who Is Your Guy Remix music video, a Headies nomination, and a new property.

    “I started 2023 broke, literally not up to 10k in my account, I constantly begged to make a living but look at me now, Evidence abounds of his goodness to me so I don’t need to explain tire

    “The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has made me a global boy just within months and I gladly bow my knees and return all the GLORY TO HIM … who am I that he is so mindful of me #THANKYOU destiny changer,” he wrote.

    Singer Spyro opens up about struggling with pornography addiction for years

    Singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, widely known as Spyro, has revealed that he battled with addiction to pornography for many years.

    The fast-rising artist who won ‘Best Collaboration’ for his viral hit ‘Who’s Your Guy’ remix with Tiwa Savage at the 16th Headies Awards opened up about his pornography struggle in an interview with Echoo Room where he also admitted to not being a saint.

    He mentioned that it’s not his role to criticize anyone for their lifestyle choices. However, he encouraged individuals to embrace modesty and morality as best as they could.

    He said: “I struggled with pornography for years. I’m not a saint. I go through these things. I’m in here with you guys. I’m not saying that I’m holy. Everyone is far from holy”, said the 32-year-old musician.

    “And I’m not coming to preach to people that you’ve got to be holy. I’m human, just like you. But I’m just saying that as much as we can.”

    Fast rising singer Shallipopi, has replied his colleague, Spyro for criticising his style of music during a podcast.

    A tweet from Shallipopi sparked reactions as he acknowledged that not everyone is fond of him but he doesn’t let it bother him because not everyone’s opinion holds weight.

    Shallipopi issued a warning to his colleague, advising him to refrain from involving in discussions that don’tconcern him.

    The Edo-born singer also emphasised the importance of humility and urged Spryo to let go of his pride.

    Award-wining singer Spyro has poked fun at his ‘spirit-filled’ mom for dancing to his ‘secular’ song.

    The ‘Jesus’ boy secular singer took to his Instagram page to share a video of his mother enthusiastically dancing to his hit track, ‘Who’s Your Guy’.

    Captured in the sitting room, while the song played on the large TV screen, Spyro’s mother exhibited her dancing skills by giving off some interesting moves.

    Only Spyro’s voice was heard as he was behind the camera, shooting the moments and enjoying the entertainment his mom freely offered him.

    Engaging his mother who’s a devout member of the Mountain of Fire (MFM) church, in a light banter, Spyro first teased her about her dancing styles.

    Then he advised her to be careful so that her General Overseer, Dr Olukoya doesn’t discover her dancing to such a song.

    “What kind of dancing style is this one again? You know your pastor must not catch you dancing to ‘Who’s Your Guy,” Spyro could be heard telling his mom in Yoruba language amid laughter.

    The singer’s mom however, made a case for herself, claiming her pastor also listens to Orlando and she was simply supporting her son’s craft.

    After berating Shallipopi and other colleagues for suggestive lyrics, Spyro has been seen in the company of the latter just a few days later. 

    Spyro, whose name is Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, criticised fellow musicians who incorporate suggestive lyrics capable of promoting fraudulent activities among young people.

    The ‘Who’s Your Guy’ crooner, specifically called attention to the use of the word “para dey body” in the lyrics of Shallipopi’s popular song “Elon Musk.”

    He expressed his concern that such lyrics could inadvertently encourage criminal behaviour in some listeners.

    With his identity as a born-again Christian who mingles and collaborates with secular singers, Spyro’s remarks spurred heated reactions from internet users.

    Many including journalist and podcaster Joey Akan, tackled him for his stance on Shallipopi’s song “Elon Musk.”

    He was ultimately tagged a hypocrite, one that promotes Christ but ‘dining in the lucrative altars of mammon’.

    However, in a recently surfaced video, Spyro was spotted in a studio chatting with Shallipopi with others going about their bits.

    Many suggested he was most probably trying to clarify himself based on his interview going by their lips movement and how he placed his arm on Shallipopi’s shoulder.

    The clip has continued to garner reactions online.

    One Shedrack David Aisagbonhi said: “People wey nor fit stand on their words. Probably twisting was he said before so that there won’t any beef or ponmo. If you can’t take the heat avoid it.”

    Another, Itse Sheriff wrote: “Nigerian musicians be like Nigerian politicians. Dem go yab each other but still ball together nah people wey carry their matter for head nor wise.”

    AS Olamee stated: “He dey explain with no evidence.”

    Igala Prince said: “He want make dem cut small Evian for am.”
