    Lagos state is going to be on the global world map as the city gets ready to host the Lagos Shopping Festival (LSF), unarguably the largest shopping festival on the continent from December 23rd to 25th, 2024, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium.

    Amongst the top performing artistes to headline the funfair includes Adekunle Gold, Wande Coal, Young Jonn, Teni, Ayo Maff, and a host of others.

    Justifying the need for the shopping experience, Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described the Lagos Shopping Festival as “transformative”, highlighting its role in boosting Lagos’ economy and positioning the city alongside international shopping hubs like Dubai and Istanbul.

    The event is powered by the Chain Reaction Africa and backed by notable brands like Zenith Bank, Tolaram, First Bank PLC, Guinness and many more, the Lagos Shopping Festival is set to be the highlight of the season, from electrifying beats of your favorite artistes to shopping sprees that’ll make your Detty December complete.

    Teni calls for more drama, ‘beef’ among female singers

    Singer Teni has humorously called for more drama and rivalry among female artists in the music industry.

    In a playful Instagram video, Teni joked that the female music scene lacks excitement and urged her peers to take inspiration from their male counterparts.

    She playfully suggested that artists like Tems and Ayra Starr should engage in a public feud, while also playfully teasing Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade.

    Teni emphasised that a bit of drama wouldn’t be harmful and might even spark more exciting collaborations in the future.

    She said: “I have said it before and I will say it again. This female industry is too boring, it’s too boring! Tell me why Tems and Ayra Starr no fit see themselves and tell themselves, ‘Your papa, your papa papa.

    “Tell me why I no fit dey see Tiwa Savage and tell her ‘ wetin dey do you?’ Shey we don’t see what’s going on on the other side, everybody is just here doing love, sometimes e be like say make I just give Yemi Alade a headbutt. Make we see ourselves from the outside, make security separate us.

    “Let us spice this thing up and collaborate later. Fighting does not mean that we won’t collaborate later, but make we give them saint Obi for this music, I dey tell you. Let’s give them drama, proper action film.”

    I’ll miss ‘Arise, O Compatriots’ national anthem, says Teni

    Singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has reminisced former national anthem, stating how it made her childhood beautiful.

    Teni noted how she made lots of pleasant memories and moments with the old national anthem. 

    The Nation reported that President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law to reinstate the old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”

    Following the verdict, Teni said she would miss the replaced National Anthem, “Arise, O Compatriots.”

    On her X handle, Teni wrote: “Arise o compatriots, I’ll miss you, thank you for so many childhood memories. till we meet again, love SM.”

    ‘Arise, O compatriots’ was adopted as Nigeria’s National Anthem in 1978.

    The lyrics were composed by John A. Ilechukwu, Eme Etim Akpan, B. A. Ogunnaike, Sota Omoigui and P. O. Aderibigbe.

    The anthem was performed by the Nigeria Police Band under the directorship of B. E. Odiasse.

    By the implication of the National Anthem Bill 2024 which was recently signed into law by President Tinubu, ‘Arise, O compatriots’ has now officially been replaced by the old anthem, ‘Nigeria, We Hail Thee’ as Nigeria’s National Anthem.

    Singer Teni Apata has bragged about her charitable acts of sponsoring 20 kids to private universities and secondary schools.

    Asking Nigerians what they have done for their country, she blew her own trumpet on her X platform.

    The ‘Billionaire’ crooner added that she not only pays their fees, but she is actively involved in their lives. 

    She claimed the schools are top institutions in Nigeria, including Babcock, Covenant University, Redeemers and others.

    She added she has several others whose secondary school tuition she also pays.

    She wrote: “I got 20 kids in school, 10 private university students, 3 in Babcock, 3 in C.U, 3 in Redeemers and 1 in AUN. 

    “10 kids in private secondary schools, 3 in the East, 2 in Lagos and 1 in Jos. All in boarding school, I pay and take care of their fees and I’m active in their lives. What have you done as a citizen of this country?”

    Recall that Ivory Coast defeated Nigeria two goals to one to win the cup.

    Teni, who witnessed the match, cried profusely over the defeat, expressing her distress at the embarrassment suffered by the Super Eagles at the hands of the Ivory Coast team.

    Singer Teniola Apata, also known as Teni, has encouraged the Super Eagles to give their all to secure victory in Wednesday’s AFCON Semi-final match against South Africa.

    She specifically urged star striker Victor Osimhen and his teammates to aim for a decisive victory over the South African team, seeking revenge for the defeat suffered by some Nigerian artists at the hands of South African singer Tyla during the 66th Grammys.

    The Nation reported that Nigerian artists Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Davido, Asake, and Olamide were overlooked at the 66th Grammys on Sunday, while Tyla, the sole non-Nigerian nominee in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category, clinched the award.

    Reacting in a video message shared via her social media page, Teni pleaded with the Super Eagles players to avenge the Grammy loss of their compatriots by defeating South Africa in the semifinal clash in Cote D’Ivoire.

    She said: “Grammy there’s a problem. We have many parties. You have killed our groove.

    “South Africa, Tyla’s ‘Water.’ Alright. [Victor] Osimhen, over to you. [Ademola] Lookman, over to you. South Africa, you will dance Amapiano after your AFCON defeat. You killed my groove. Grammy why?”

    Singer Teniola Apata popularly known as Teni has revealed the cause of heartbreaks in relationships. 

    According to the ‘Malaika’ crooner, being deceitful in a relationship is one of the major reasons for heartbreak.

    She made the statement in a recent video shared online.

    Teni suggested that more people should be honest with themselves too by knowing their place and not overvalue their importance when in relationships.

    “Relax, If they are told the truth, they can resort to violent measures because of the information received so it is best to not be honest with such individuals.”

    The “Malaika” crooner disclosed that in a recent dream, her enemies served her food, but it was a letdown.

    According to her, they presented a plate of rice with only one turkey, which she found inadequate for a celebrity like herself.
