    AS you are reading this, the organizers of One Night Stand, a concert-like party, are making frenetic efforts towards holding a successful show today.

    According to the organisers, it promises to be a night of quality live performances by the array of select acts.

    Radio presenter, Steve Onu, popularly known as Yaw, has been announced as the host of the event. He will be joining Terry G, Wizkid, Sean Tizzle, Wande Coal and a host of other crowd pullers at Koga Event Centre for this edition themed Raw and Wild.

    “Most often, the major events happen on the Island. What we have done with One Night Stand is to create a major party platform for mainland people. The huge following in the past months confirmed that it is an idea whose time has come,” Robert Jeyibo, a senior officer in Koga said.

    Winners of Koga Open-House finalists will also grace the stage and rub shoulders with leading figures in the industry.

    One Night Stand is a periodic party. Over the years, it has featured stellar acts from different genres of music, including Afro-beat, Juju, Fuji, Hip-hop and the likes.

    Stars such as Sir Shina Peters, Sound Sultan, Olamide, Kay Switch, Samklef, Skales, Dede Mabiaku, Eva and Ketchup have all graced the stage of One Night Stand.

    SENSATIONAL singer, Naeto C, on Saturday, December 15, sent fans into a frenzy with his electrifying performance at the Star Beer Village.

    Naeto C took the fans back in time as he performed a number of his hit songs such as Kini Big Deal, I Gentle, 10/10, Ife Ni Le and some others.

    The Kini Big Deal crooner assured the boisterous fans that every aspect of their lives and aspirations in 2014, in line with his hit song, would be 10/10, as he closed off with another popular track.

    It will be recalled that other great artistes such as Terry G, DJ Neptune and Kcee have also performed since the event started.

    According to the organizers, a number of artistes are also billed to perform in the coming days to add to the excitement and thrill of the special event.

    The Lagos Countdown with Star, which officially kicked off at Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island, Lagos Island, on December 8, will end on December 31, with an exclusive all-star concert.

    Host of the night, Dotun of Cool FM, and creative DJ, Snoop Da Damager, engaged the fans so fascinatingly throughout the event.

    IT was a day of fun on Sunday, December 8 as popular street music merchant, Terry G, together with DJ maestro and DJ Neptune, turned the capacity-filled Star Beer Village into a music carnival of sorts.

    Guests began filling the seats by 3.00 pm, two hours earlier than the 5.00pm scheduled opening, in anticipation of what the organizers had earlier promised would be a ‘thrilling time’.

    MC and comedian, Funny Bone, kept excited fans at the edge of their seats with his unique combination of rib-cracking jokes and teasing rejoinders, while DJ Neptune ensured that he stepped up the momentum several notches, as he brought his superb skills to play on the turntable. His non-stop mix of popular songs elicited resounding cheers from the crowd who refused to reclaim their seats throughout the event.

    However Terry G’s appearance turned Eko Atlantic into a dancehall with the crowd surging repeatedly towards the stage to catch a glimpse of the popular performer, whose sheer energy dominated every inch of the massive stage and beyond, as he dished out Akpako, Oluwa, Oga and other popular hits.

    Aside from other surprise star performers and celebrity guests who will also be a part of the Lagos Countdown, the Star Beer Village will also offer top- of- the- line music competitions, concerts, games and many more exciting attractions through the duration.

    The Star Beer Village is one of the highlights of the 2nd Lagos Countdown, which holds at Eko Atlantic from December 8 to 29 December.

    Hip hop singer Terry G, also known as GZUS, was recently attacked by armed robbers on his way to perform at an event.

    Sources close to the singer disclosed that he was not harmed, but made away with some of his valuables including, phones, money, and jewellery among others.
    “We tried to keep it secret, but we have to say it out now! GZUS was attacked on Sunday by heavily armed robbers on his way to an event, we thank God they just collected his valuables.
    “Though they later recognized him, but they did not return the valuables. We thank God for life, protection and guidance,” the source said.

    MAVEEBEST Link, in conjunction with Great Tower of God Ministry has put together a three day talent hunt show aimed at discovering and honing the talent of budding artistes in various entertainment fields including comedy, choreography, rap battles, dance, disc jockey skills and singing.

    According to the organisers, the hunt which is targeted at young people features guest artistes like Terry G, Brown Bread, Prince Wadada, Citizen Glory, Cindy, King Jahwin, Princess Stella, Heleno and Aita Bonny.

    The event began with a rally which took place from September 26 to 27 while the grand finale takes place today, Saturday 28 at First Africa Church Mission situated at Iju Ishaga. Up and coming artistes expected to perform at the event include Trustar, Youngmiz, gainny Bee, Gentle Jay and a host of others.
