    I sing for devil, not God – Terry G declares

    Singer Terry G has revealed that the songs he produces do not align with godly values but rather with those of the devil.

    During an interview, he boldly asserted his identity as a secular musician, admitting that his songs are sung for the devil.

    He said: “I am a secular musician. I sing for the devil. We [secular musicians] sing for the devil, we praise the devil. We don’t glorify God. Abi all this one wey we dey do, you think to say na God we dey do am for?”

    He stated that when most Afrobeat artists sing secular songs, as long as it is not glorifying God, then that means it is glorifying the devil.

    Dating back to January 2024, Terry G had cried out over the ignorance of the industry when it comes to their colleagues.

    The music star expressed how sad he was over the fact that his colleagues were not responding to him despite all of his efforts to reach out to them.

    He questioned if it was fair the way he was being treated, while he told them to remember when he was there to help them.

    He revealed that he had pointedly reached out to several artists, however they had all failed to respond to him.

    Singer Terry G has called out his colleague, Timaya over alleged unpaid royalties.

    Expressing his frustration, the “Akpako Master” said if he begins to speak, the outcome will not be expected. 

    He took to his Instagram page as he revealed that he is contemplating speaking out on the matter, particularly after listening to podcasts where artists disclose their experiences with unpaid royalties.

    Terry G made it clear that he is seeking his rightful 50% producer publishing royalties from Timaya and other artists.

    The veteran singer and producer lamented the unfair treatment he has allegedly received from fellow producers, using himself as an example of how greatness is exploited and then discarded.

    Terry G wrote: “Looking at all the podcasts and disclosure artists speaking up, the day I go talk my own, the table will be used for firewood. If you know I produced this song for you,

    “I need my 50% producer publishing royalties from Timaya and others. But all the producers out there use me as an example of how they use and dump greatness. But still, I rise.”

    Popular singer Terry G has called out his former manager for allegedly overbooking him without checking his availability first.

    Terry G called out his former management while briefly explaining his absence from the music scene. 

    While apologising to show promoters about some questionable practices by his ex-manager, the singer accused his previous management of overbooking him and not refunding promoters.

    He wrote: “To all show promoters: I worked with a dubious team (managers), which created a false narrative about me.

    “They accepted bookings without my knowledge. I’m only human and I use this platform to apologise to you all. I’m happy to clear this up, as it has been the reason why you all haven’t been hearing or seeing Terry G. Thanks.”

    This is coming days after the singer announced his retirement from music.

    Singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has stated emphatically that no new street artiste is talented enough to be compared to him. 

    Listing his musical prowess, he said no ‘new cat’ is musically up to his match.

    The singer said this via his social media platforms while objecting to being compared with up-and-coming colleagues.

    In a now-trending post on his official social media handles, Terry G, who felt disrespected by the development, described such a comparison as “a bad match.”

    He wrote: “Put some respect on my name.

    “Comparisons have to be of an equal match; then a better choice is made; comparing me with any new street sensation is a bad match; they can act crazy but not musically on my level on both vocal, playing of instruments, producing multi-platinum hits for several artistes and my catalogue.”

    Terry G announced this in a video message via his Instagram platform, explaining that music was good while it lasted.

    He appreciated his fans for their support over the years, stressing that his decision might hurt them but it was for his best interest.

    Popular singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, better known as Terry G, has publicly called out his colleagues for ignoring him when he needed them most.

    Terry G has expressed sadness via a series of posts on his official Instagram page, over how all his efforts to reach out to some of his colleagues during his tough times proved abortive, saying that nobody responded to him.

    He also reminded his colleagues how he was there for them when they came to him for hit features.

    He wrote: “You will write your fellow artiste, e no go respond. When everybody came to G, they received hits.

    “We don’t have to die to be remembered and celebrated. We all contribute to the global music library of sounds. Just in case. I am back. Thank you for the wait.”

    Also speaking in a now-viral video, the singer said: “But this is not fair na, I want you all to remember that you all came to me and I gave you guys hits. Now I’m chatting you guys up, you don’t want to respond. Is it until I die?”

    The ‘Akpako Master’ disclosed this in a video message shared via his Instagram page recently.

    Celebrating his achievement, Terry G urged fans to join him in thanking God.

    Terry G, whose real name is Gabriel Oche Amanyi, is already floating a short clip of a song for the New Year on his social media handle.

    It is speculated that the singer may also use the opportunity to bring home another song mastered abroad.
