The actor Timini Egbuson has claimed that dating a Nigerian lady residing abroad offers a superior experience compared to dating one based in Nigeria. 

Speaking from experience and that of his friends, the actor elaborates on the advantages that make dating within the diaspora a preferred choice for many.

Timini explained the tough competition that Nigerian women abroad experience when it comes to dating.

The actor stated that while Nigerian girls in Nigeria have various options, those living abroad often resort to dating services to find partners due to limited choices. 

He made this statement during the latest episode of the Menisms Podcast.

He said: “I honestly feel like, and this is me talking from my personal experience, I feel like you’d get a better dating experience from a Nigerian girl living abroad than a Nigerian girl living here.

“My reason is this [is] Nigerian girls living abroad, in London, America or Canada are the minority in the dating pool over there. There are so many more ethnicities, so there are options and I don’t know if the average guy out there is looking for a Nigerian babe to date.

“So when a Nigerian babe abroad catches you, you’re honestly the catch and she’d take care of you and she’d be happy to take care of you. A lot of Nigerian girls and a lot of my friends are baddies, I know that if they were in Lagos they would be on their phones checking who to go on dates with. But they’re out there on dating sites in other countries.

“When they catch a Nigerian man who has the same values as them, who understands their jokes and wants to watch the same shows, you’re the prize. But over here, they have options. Even the ones that aren’t the best looking.”

Actor Timini Egbuson has expressed confidence in his acting abilities, declaring himself the biggest actor in Africa.

The actor made the remarks while featuring as a guest in the latest episode of the Menisms Podcast.

Timini said he has consistently acted for 15 years, inspired many young actors, and pioneered the leading male young actor category in the movie industry.

He noted that when he initially joined the Nollywood industry, there were no prominent lead roles specifically tailored for young men, as they were typically portrayed by older individuals or female actors.

He said: “I have been acting for 15 years consistently. I’ve never had a time off or fall off for 15 years consistently.

“I believe that I genuinely opened up the way for a lot of new school young actors. I also believe that I opened up the leading male young actor category.

“And I said that very humbly because when I joined Nollywood, there were no lead roles for young men. You either had to be an old man or a lady. All the young men that were acting were playing minor roles. Nobody was actively writing lead roles for young men.

“If you put everything that I’ve accomplished together, I believe that I am the biggest actor in Africa.”
