Mercy Eke speaks on connection with Whitemoney

Mercy Eke, first runner-up in the just concluded BBNaija All Stars show, provided clarity on her relationship with fellow housemate, Whitemoney.

During an interview with the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Mercy said that their connection was solely an alliance, refuting any notions of a deeper relationship that might have arisen from certain shared intimate moments during their time in the house.

During their time in Biggie’s house, the two engaged in several interactions that sparked rumours of a romantic relationship.

However, in her post-show conversation with Ebuka, Mercy made it clear that any connection they had was purely a result of the game.

The 30-year-old entrepreneur also stated that she attempted not to give Whitemoney false hope while strategizing and playing her game.

She said: “With me and Whitemoney, it was just an alliance. From the first week, he already told me we would be targets in the house so we should just stick by each other since it is just the both of us that are different in the house.

“But, I was still myself, still trying to have fun. I don’t know if he started developing feelings ‘inside small play’. It wasn’t anything, it was an alliance with him.

Ebuka asked: “So, no feelings there at all?” Mercy retorted: “Not at all.”

For clarity purposes, the TV host probed further noting: “But from him, there might be. How do you handle that?”

She reiterated: “I tried my best not to lead him on. Even sometimes, I’d be with him and I’m somewhere else to show you that, it’s just a game.”
