Wike knocks FCTA officials over road project

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday blasted two officials of FCT Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD) over illogical award of a road project in Kwali Area Council, Abuja.

The officials are the coordinator of the department, Mr Zulkiflu Abdulkadir and the department’s Director, Regional Infrastructure, Mr. Nathaniel Edor.

Wike cautioned the duo at the inauguration of the construction of 15.5-kilometre Pai – Gomani Road in Kwali Area Council of FCT.

He explained that the duo awarded the contract for the construction of a road connecting Pai and Gomani while the road from the Abuja – Lokoja Expressway (A2) to Pai was not awarded.

The Minister, who asked them to come out and face the people said: “this is why it is difficult for this country to move forward.

“While we were coming from the expressway, called A2 to Pai, they refused to award that contract but instead awarded the contract from Pai to Gomani.

“Now, if you construct the road from Pia to Gomani, how do you come to Pai, when that road is not motorable?

“Whoever masterminded this; you are not being fair, and we cannot continue this way. The truth must be told at all times.”

To address the issue, Wike said he has made a call for a virement for some funds to be able to construct the road from A2 to Pai as an emergency project.

“We are all humans. How will these people feel that you are passing their community and there is no road, and after passing their community you are awarded a contract for construction of the road?”

He assured residents of area councils that President Bola Tinubu-led administration was inclusive, adding that everybody participates and benefits from the dividend of democracy.

He added that all the area councils would feel the impact of Tinubu administration.

The Minister said: “I took the position to support Mr President to improve on the infrastructure of the FCT and that is why everyday our concern is infrastructure, infrastructure, and infrastructure; be it in the city; be it in the rural areas”.

He said that the communities from the expressway to Gomani were blessed with arable land for agricultural production.

Wike said that the project, when completed, would boost agricultural production in the area.

The council Chairman, Mr Danladi Chiya, thanked the Minister for all the support to the area councils in terms of infrastructural development.

Chiya said that the area councils were executing some projects because Wike does not interfere with their allocations and invited him to find time to come and see some of the projects.

Sen. David Jimkuta, Senate Committee on FCT Area Councils and Ancillary Matters, said that the road, when completed, would connect the area councils to the city centre.

Jimkuta added that with the ongoing development of social infrastructures, residents would live anywhere in the FCT and be comfortable.

He pledged continued support of the Senate to the FCT Minister’s efforts to transform the FCT to make life comfortable for all residents.

Wike, Fubara feud: PANDEF moves to reconcile parties, raises committee

The Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), led by Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark, has set up a committee to reconcile Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara with his predecessor and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.

The committee is headed by PANDEF’s Co-Chairman and former Akwa Ibom State governor, Obong Victor Attah.

The forum announced the birth of the committee in a communiqué issued yesterday over last Thursday’s special General Assembly meeting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

    • Nigerians have rejected you, go home, Minister tells Atiku

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, yesterday scolded his successor as Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, for his recent alleged disrespectful comments on senior members of the bar and the bench.

Wike also deplored what he perceived as the governor’s ill-treatment of three prominent citizens of the state said to have gone the extra mile to get him elected.

To those he claimed to be crusading for his castration  within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Wike said such people  are only “digging your graves.”

“It has not started. We have capacity,” he said,

“Look at people talking about suspending me. Rivers is an asset and we cannot come and bow down for you. If you don’t know that Rivers is an asset, dare, dare anywhere you are.”

He did not spare former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, branding him a serial loser who has been repeatedly rejected by Nigerian voters.

He told the PDP presidential candidate in the 2023 election to pack his things and go home.

Atike was swift in responding to the Wike flak.

He called it  baseless rants and said “ It is clear that Mr. Wike is more concerned with self-interest than addressing the real challenges faced by the nation.”

Wike, speaking during a luncheon he organised in Port Harcourt, the state capital, in honour of the members of the 10th Rivers State House of Assembly,  said:”somebody from I don’t know where, sitting before people and said so-called legal luminary turning laws upside down. Shame. Power. That is why we have to be careful who you give power to.”

It was a veiled reference to Fubara’s remarks during the Rivers State Legal Week last Thursday.

Wike said the governor’s  comments about cases and their jurisdiction smacked of ignorance and  wondered why he (Fubara) continued to attack the likes of  OCJ Okocha (SAN) , Sergeant Awuse and Chief Alabrabra, all of whom  he once acknowledged as the three wise men that stood firm to make him a governor.

He alleged  that Awuse, who was the Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council was kicked out of the position by the governor when Awuse was in coma and battling for survival in London and needed the support of the government.

Wike said after Awuse’s maltreatment, the governor last Thursday turned his attention on  OCJ Okocha and judges and accused them of turning the law upside down.

His words: ” They said before you were the three wise men. Awuse was in coma in London, one of the wise men was removed as chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Council. When he was in coma, when he was looking for support and help, that was when he was removed.

“On Thursday, another wise man was insulted. When this wise man was called to the bar, this man was not in primary school. He (Fubara) came on national television to say these were the wise men  who stood firm for me when the decision was taken.  Today he now says the wise men are turning the law upside down.

“But they didn’t turn the law upside down when they made you. It is unfortunate. Look at OCJ and his positions in life: former chairman, Body of Benchers, former President Nigerian Bar Association, former Attorney-General.

“OCJ, Awuse and Alabrara nearly collapsed that day. They insisted we should allow this young man. We never knew we were living with a snake. You can imagine when you are sitting with a snake. God protected you and a snake never bite you. God is God”.

Wike said he decided to celebrate the lawmakers because of their resolve to fight against ingratitude and to protect the sacred principles of democracy.

He said: “What they have done is to say okay ingratitude we can’t accept it. What they have done is to say look we are the ones who labored, who had sleepless nights and put you there for all of us to be together. Today you hate all of us.

“Yes, these young men laboured from place to place, look at council chairmen. They took risks, spent money to put you there. All of a sudden armed robbers, thieves are all over the place. That is not life. When people come out to talk and said forgive. Forgive what?

“We are all human and you want to pretend as if nothing has gone wrong. How do you pretend?  I will never pretend. I decided with the leaders to thank them. It is not only when somebody has died but when they are alive to say you have done well.

“You have shown capacity and independence  of the legislature. You have shown that money cannot move you. Other states should emulate you. They seized their salaries for one year. They seized their allowances. They said they would come and beg. Are you begging today?  Will you beg tomorrow? You have shown them we are who we are.”

Wike said nobody would conquer his team in Rivers, and mocked the governor for exhibiting ignorance on judicial and legal matters.

Wike said: “This is Rivers and nobody will conquer us. He (Fubara) said anything that is a state matter must come to the state High Court. Shame. If you don’t know anything, say you don’t know anything. I feel so bad.

“The state assembly is challenging an illiterate government that you have no right to be spending money without budget and therefore the Central Bank cannot continue to release funds without budget. Can you sue at the state High Court? Where will you sue? They are mumu.

“APC went to court and say for you to conduct local government election, you must follow the procedure. INEC is the custodian of the voter register if they fail to follow the procedure’ INEC do not release the voter register.

“And to stop INEC, do you go to the state High Court. You go where?  The Federal High Court. And if INEC does not release the register, will there be election?”

Turning to OCJ Okocha, Wike called on the Nigerian Bar Association to protect the legal profession and safeguard the judiciary and stop lawyers, who have no knowledge of facts of cases and judgements from collecting money to attack judges on national television.

He said: “I have been in this political system from1998 till now. I have never taken break. So I am involved. If security agencies will go and investigate what politicians do if they want to reach out to judges and it is not possible, they come out and write petition against that judge. They will go and accuse the judge of taking bribes.”

He said his political family had maintained decorum and their belief in the judiciary by rejecting the temptation to attack judges even in the face of many ex-parte orders on the same matter.

He said: “Six High Court judges gave ex-parte orders 1 to 10. Have we ever written petitions?  Have we gone on television to castigate them? All we say is that they are not the final court. We tell our lawyer to go on appeal.”

Wike described the partnership of APC and PDP in the state as  a rainbow coalition and said  what would happen in the state would shock people.

You’re a serial loser, Wike tells Atiku

He then took on Atiku, dismissing him  as a  serial loser who has been repeatedly rejected by Nigerian voters.

Atiku, the minister said, should pack his things and go back home.

“I heard Atiku Abubakar say, oh they have rejected me in Rivers State. Okay, assuming so  though not conceding; he has lost so many times, Nigerians have also rejected him,” Wike said in the latest showdown between the two men.

The former Rivers State governor was apparently responding to a statement by Atiku on X in which he (Atiku) hailed Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara,Wike’s estranged political protégé  for “his unwavering commitment to the interests of the people, safeguarding the sanctity of the local government elections even amidst provocative challenges.”

He added: “With the conclusion of the local government election in Rivers State, the shadows of political intimidation and judicial chicanery have dissipated, paving the way for the noble pursuit of governance to commence in the state.

“From the bustling heart of Port Harcourt to the tranquil shores of Onne, the populace has spoken in harmonious unison, affirming that nothing is greater than democracy.

“As prophesied, it has now been revealed that the citizens of Rivers are astute and resolute, unwavering in their rejection of any form of political oppression, harassment, or the machinations of self-serving godfathers.”

Wike said Atiku got it all wrong to think that the outcome of the local government election in Rivers was an indication that the people of the state  had rejected him.

He said: “We never contested local government election. We didn’t pick forms. If you say for election we never contested that it shows Nigeria has rejected us, okay you that contested and failed woefully, Nigerians have rejected you, therefore park and go home”.

He said he has no regret for supporting Presiddent Tinubu.

His words: “ The Atiku group and Peter Obi group and some governors of PDP believe that I am a problem to them and I will continue to be a problem.

“Atiku group believe that I and my team stopped them from becoming President. We stopped injustice. What we wanted was equity, fairness and justice. Obi’s group believe they must fight us back. They are fighting themselves.

“They said if we don’t do anything now we will have a problem and they will have a problem. All these people combined will lose.  When you stand for the truth, the truth will always save you. They are standing by their personal interest. They will clash”.

On the leadership crisis in PDP, he said they all agreed that the acting national chairman,Umar Damagum should complete the tenure of the former chairman,Iyorchia  Ayu.

He said: “In PDP they said that the chairman  should go. I am not his friend. He never supported me. We agreed that Damagum should complete the tenure of Ayu. But let me tell you why you should be careful in trusting people.

“At  the meeting we agreed that we should go and seek interpretation of the PDP Constitution. The 2015 Constitution was not the same as 2017. There was a problem with the  2015 constitution. To cure the error, in 2017 we had an amendment of the Constitution when we now said that there should be two deputy chairmen where if the person who is  chairman from that zone has a problem the deputy chairman should be able to complete his tenure.

“We never zoned to North West, North East; we zoned North and south. Chairman  North, Secretary goes to South. When it is zoned to the north anybody who is a chairman should come from  the north.

“They made it look as if it is zoned to North central, North East and northwest. But we never did that. This problem came and we said it  is better we go to the court to seek interpretation of the party Constitution.

“Where the chairman  has a problem the deputy chairman  from that zone should complete his tenure. If you want the chairman, it should be from the National convention. When we kicked out Uche Secondus, the Southsouth did not produce the acting National Chairman.

Wike insisted that his team has the capacity in Rivers and would never be defeated

He said: “If you hate us it doesn’t matter. This Wike you don’t like will kill you. We are working as a team not as a party. We will decide where we will go. Anybody who doesn’t want Rivers to grow to hell with you.

“Their anger is that Wike is occupying an important position, if I don’t occupy it who will? We took a decision to support Asiwaju and we did. All these people flying to London and Turkey come out and tell us where you stand. I stood somewhere”.

Turning to the lawmakers, he asked the people to pray for them adding that the Supreme Court would decide the legislative shenanigans in Rivers.

He said: “Continue to pray for them. You went to court that they had defected, allow the court to decide it. They file appeals but they won’t pursue it. These matters must be followed to a logical conclusion. Let the Supreme Court come out and tell us in today democracy three people will stand and decide and appropriate state resources.”

Wike playing politics with the suffering of Nigerians

Atiku’s Media Office in a reaction to Wike’s latest attack on the former vice president  yesterday said the Port Harcourt remarks were another of his theatrical outbursts.

It said: “ Ordinarily, we would not respond, but we recognize that silence might be misinterpreted.

“However, we remain calm, knowing that Nigerians are well acquainted with his antics, a lingering symptom of the bitterness he harbours from his defeat to the Wazirin Adamawa at the 2022 party presidential primaries.

“Mr. Wike’s comments are nothing more than a string of inanities, lacking substance and driven by personal grievances. If he truly believes Nigerians are content with the current state of affairs under the government he serves, it reveals a deeper truth: his priorities lie not with the people but with himself. This self-absorption is evident in his preoccupation with domestic affairs in Rivers rather than his ministerial responsibilities.

“While he may seek to divert attention with his baseless rants, we remain focused on the genuine issues affecting Nigerians. It is clear that Mr. Wike is more concerned with self-interest than addressing the real challenges faced by the nation. In contrast, our commitment remains unwavering, centred on the welfare and progress of the people.

“Mr. Wike appears to delight in conjuring fantasies, indulging in his imagination, and paying for live TV coverage to launch tirades against whomever he pleases. However, we shall not descend into the gutters where he feels at home. Instead, we prefer to rise above, maintaining our dignity while others revel in the mud.”

Rivers crisis: ‘Okaba-led INC opposed Wike for presenting Fubara in 2023’

The Rivers Restoration Movement (RRM) has accused the Ijaw National Congress (INC) led by Prof. Benjamin Okaba, of opposing the decision of former Governor Nyesom Wike to present Sir Siminialayi Fubara as his successor in 2023.

RRM, a frontline group that supported Wike’s choice of Fubara and worked for his victory at the poll, said it was compelled to reply to INC following Okaba’s recent statement against Wike.

The group in a statement signed by its Director-General, Johnson Georgewill and Secretary, Mrs. Sarima Akpata, wondered when INC developed its new found love for Fubara it earlier described as a fake Ijaw man.

The group said: ‘RRM as a group take exception to the comments made by the leadership of INC in a press release on the issue going on in Rivers State.

“Rivers Restoration Movement knows this as a fact that the Benjamin Okaba led INC worked against the emergence of Gov Sim Fubara in 2023 when the political leader of Rivers State and Minister of the FCT, H.E Nyesom Wike, did everything with the help of God and his faithful followers to ensure Gov Sim was victorious.

“So, one begins to wonder about the intention of this new found love to a man they said wasn’t a true Ijaw Man.”

RRM said it was also laughable that the INC would query Mr President’s body language, neutrality, honesty and good faith in the Rivers crisis.

It said the Okaba-led INC was pretending not to know that Mr President was the pillar behind the peace deal that was brokered in the villa with all parties endorsing an agreement to end the crisis on the 18 of December 2023.

But RRM said INC kept mute as Fubara reneged and disobeyed the key provisions contained in the agreement supervised by the President as a father.

The group said: “It is public knowledge from the eight point peace pact signed that Gov Sim refused to recognise the leadership of Rt Hon Martins Ahmaehule and 26 others as agreed but INC was nowhere to be found.

“INC was also silent when Gov Sim refused to allow the Rivere State House of Assembly to choose where to sit and perform their legislative duties.

“Prof Benjamin Okaba was silent when Gov Sim refused to re-represent the 2024 budget as agreed in Aso Rock and signed by all parties.

“The governor also refused to adhere to the agreement that LGA structures will not be tampered with and caretakers members will not be formed as agreed but INC didn’t think it wise to release an official press statement then.

“It was on the foundation of all these flagrant disobedience to almost all the agreement reached that the Martins led Rivers State House of Assembly decided to thread with  caution after they withdrew their impeachment notice in line with the peace deal brokered by our father and President, H E. President Bola Tinubu.”

RRM said that 90 per cent of Ijaw politicians and major stakeholders that worked for the victory of Fubara in 2023 under the leadership of Wike were standing solidly behind the political leadership of the FCT Minister.

The group said: “Ijaws are grateful people. A clear example is having 10 out of the 12 Ijaw slots in the Rivers State House of Assembly members standing on the side of truth with former Gov Wike.

“RRM is advising the Ijaw National Congress led by Prof Benjamin Okaba to look inwards and first apologise to Rivers people for betraying their son when in 2023 they worked against the emergence of Gov Sim Fubara.

“The Eastern Zone leaders of the same organization followed the same line to betray Gov Sim when the Minister of the FCT and his team worked day and night to ensure victory for Gov Sim Fubara.

“RRM is appealing to the Minister of the FCT and political leader of Rivers State to ignore comments from INC because we all know the Ijaws are grateful and have loyal leaders that can complete the tenure of the Ijaws through constitutional democratic process.”

Building collapse: Wike sets up committee to audit buildings in Abuja

In a bid to reduce cases of building collapses, and paveway for a sustainable city, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Minister, Nyesom Wike has approved the formation of a Ministerial Committee on Post Development Audit of Buildings in Abuja.

Through the Committee inaugurated by Coordinator of Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Chief Felix Amechi Obuah, there will be provision of accurate records of all development permits issued,

thereby reducing cases of unapproved development, illegal conversion of land use, and land grabbing.

Also, it will enhance provision of data on the consumption of the city’s utilities and services such as water, electricity and connectivity to sewer line, which will also detect illegal connections to these facilities denying government revenue.

Another projected benefit is provision of data for accurate taxation and enhanced revenue generation since all buildings and properties would be brought to the

FCT internal Revenue Tax Net, which will generate billions of Naira to the FCT Administration.

Also expected is the provision of data on research on city planning, development and management, in view of the fact that Abuja is a success story in the field of city planning, development and management.

According to the AMMC Coordinator, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, set up the Committee to take a cursory look at the trend of the city’s development and chart a more robust future course for the city’s development, which is in tandem with the renewed hone agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

He added that the exercise will enhance security and employment since consultants and experts would be engaged to provide the necessary expertise and service.

He said: “Therefore, this Committee is critical to the sustainable development of our dear city, and it is our collective duty in ensuring that the Committee succeeds.

“On our part, the FCT Minister is committed to seeing that the necessary logistics needed

for the successful completion of this exercise are provided.

“Together, we shall carry out this exercise and together we shall chart a new course for the planning and development of our dear city that is evidence-based and in the end bequeath a sustainable city legacy to future generations.”

The AMMC boss further explained that the committee is made up of representatives of all the relevant FCT departments such as AEPB, Development Control, Urban and Regional Planning, Fire Services etc.

“The people that are been so appointed are professional in their different fields, so we don’t have any doubt about their performance.

“At least, we expect on or before six months, the committee would have come up with a comprehensive report  and recommendations to the Hon. Minister.

“It is not a committee of one month or two months, as anything that is worth doing, is worth doing very well, that is why we have give them this amount of time, so as to enable them do a very useful job”, he stressed.

Responding, the Chairman of the Committee, TPL Mukhtar  Galadima,  who described its work as an honourable but onerous task, however pledged that members of the committee are not going to disappoint the authority.

Galadima, who doubles as Director, Department of Development Control said: “By the grace of God, and with your full support, we are going to do justice to this exercise, because we have been opportune to write our names in gold, if we do this work well.

“I want to call on my co-travellers in this committee that this is a very important task that has been given to us, lets do it judiciously, so the legacy of the FCTA will not be complete without mentioning this committee.

“So, I want to assure that we will not disappoint you (AMMC Coordinator), the Hon. Minister and the Federal Capital Territory Administration.”

Wike raises the alarm over high number of out-of-school children

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike on Thursday tasked the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) to tackle the increasing number of out-of-school children in the country.

Wike urged the agency to intensify efforts to reverse the trend.

The FCT Minister gave the charge when he received a delegation from UBEC, led by the Executive Secretary, Hamid Bobboyi on a courtesy visit to his office in Abuja.

He recalled that the Almajiri school system was introduced during his tenure as the Minister of State, Education in partnership with UBEC to address the challenges of out of school children in the country.

Wike, who also stated that the security challenges in the country could not be addressed without reducing the number of out of school children, further called on other States of the country to also complement the efforts of UBEC in bringing children back to school.

According to the FCT Minister: “All of us know the problems of not just girl child education but out of school children. I don’t know what you are doing as regards to all our children roaming the streets. It is the function of UBEC.

“When we were in education, that’s when we started the Almajiri schools. In fact, in the whole Northern States, the only State I never visited was Yobe. I visited virtually all the States in the North, Southwest and the South South and Southeast where you have more boys dropping out. We tried to see what we could do.

“In the North, we talk about Almajiri and the girl child education and I do know that through UBEC, we were able to build a lot of schools. We were able to buy clothing and sandals and feed them.

“I don’t know what it is now because the number has tripled. It’s so annoying. I do know that you are doing your best but I do know that the States too need to complement your efforts. So many States do not want to pay the counterpart funding which is very unfortunate.

“The insecurity we are talking about today can never be resolved if we don’t bring these children back to school”.

Wike, who noted that the increasing influx of people in the FCT from other parts of the country was also contributing to the number of out of school children in the nation’s capital, said the FCT Administration was doing its best to also address the situation.

He acknowledged the vital role of the UBEC in the provision of qualitative education in the country and pledged the continued support of the FCT Administration to the activities of the Commission.

Responding to a request for land allocation by the Executive Secretary UBEC, to enable the commission construct staff quarters in the FCT, the Minister frowned at a situation where institutions are allocated land without developing them, which he said was attracting shanties and criminals to the FCT.

He said institutions seeking for land allocation in the FCT must agree to develop the land within a given timeframe and also demonstrate their financial capacity to carry out such developmental activities before allocations are made.

The Minister said: “What we have found out is that most institutions apply for land, you give them land. 20 years, 15 years, no development and then people go and build shanties, which of course attracts criminals to stay and then it becomes a problem to us.

“When you begin to go there and say they should move, then people will come to say ‘oh people are suffering, the economy is very hard, it’s where they are trying to find what to eat’. It becomes another problem for us.

“Now, for us to give land to any agency, you have to have an agreement with the FCTA through the land Department that you are going to build within a specific time”. He added that the agreement would state clearly the commitment of the agency; “If we cannot, you take back your land”.

Speaking earlier, the Executive Secretary UBEC, Hamid Bobboyi acknowledged the development strides that have been recorded within the education subsector in the FCT under the current FCT Administration, especially the renovation and construction of schools as well as support to other education activities.

The Executive Secretary also commended the smart school initiatives in the FCT, which, he said, was encouraging a more modern way of teaching and pledged the readiness of the Commission to collaborate with the FCT to move education forward.

Present during the visit were, the Chief of Staff to the Minister, Chidi Amadi, Ag. Head of Service FCTA, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, Mandate Secretary, Education, Danlami Hayyo, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the minister on Administration, Samuel Atang and executives of UBEC.

Wike’s political structure in Rivers intact – APC chairman Okocha

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, on Thursday said Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara cannot destroy the political structure of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Okocha said Wike’s political structure is intact and expressed sadness over the political crisis in the state.

He accused the governor of engineering the crisis.

The state APC chairman who said this while briefing reporters on the burning of the APC state secretariat amongst other crises, vowed that APC will take over from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in 2027.

Okocha faulted the committee set up by the governor for not including the burning of the party secretariat.

He described Wike as Fubara’s mentor, saying the latter would not have been governor without the strong backing of Wike.

“From civil servant to the candidate of a party and delivering him in 23 local governments out of 23, the first in our history, all of these were Wike’s ability. If you are a politician, no politician will allow his structure to be dismantled. When you do that, it means that you have no home to fall back to. Wike made it possible for Fubara to emerge as governor. Fubara was never a politician.

“Fubara is creating problems for himself. It is our business to demarket him and his party for us to win in 2027. I can say to you from knowledge that for the next ten years I do not see any politician destroying the political structure Wike has in Rivers State. I’m not God, but I’m talking about what is possible within human possibility. Wike structure cannot be destroyed. It is not possible, not so soon. Let’s leave it there.

“The structure is embedded in the 23 Local Government areas of the state and the I can do men and women are not the kind of people who follow those who do not have capacity.

“The ten of Governor Fubara and his antics cannot destroy Wike’s structure. Many people are saying that as APC Chairman in Rivers, why am I working with Wike, and I say is Wike not working with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu? So, he is not my enemy and so he is my friend and we are working to ensure the Renewed Hope Agenda is felt by Nigerians.

“Wike has his tentacles spread all over. We are doing enough to let Rivers people know that we need a change of party. APC will soon take over Rivers State with time. The Ijaws hosting Wike is strategic. It is just to tell the minister that they are grateful for allowing their son to be governor after abandoning other aspirants”.
