  • Yul Edochie appointed SSA to Anambra State Gov.

    Ace Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has been appointed Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Creative & Entertainment Media to Anambra State Governor,Willie Obiano.

    The actor made this known on his Instagram page,@yuledochie on Friday, expressing gratitude to the Governor and the people of the state.

    He wrote :”I thank His Excellency Chief Dr. Willie Obiano (Akpokue Dike) Executive Governor of Anambra State for appointing me, his SSA on Creative & Entertainment Media.

    “Thank you sir, for seeing the zeal in me to serve the people and believing in me.

    “ Special thanks to Ndi Anambra, Ndi youth for your support and prayers, I will not let you down.

    “To all my fans and friends all over the world, thank you for your support, love, and prayers.”

    The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Edochi contested for governorship of Anambra under the Democratic Peoples Congress in 2017 and polled 145 votes to lost the the incumbent.

    NAN reports that Edochie who is the son of Pete Edochie, one of Nigerian foremost veteran actors.

    He studied Dramatic Arts at the University of Port Harcourt and made his Nollywood debut in 2005 in the movie “The Exquires” alongside the late veterans Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa.

    He came to limelight in 2007 after featuring alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot in the movie “Wind Of Glory.”

  • Yul Edochie to run for President

    Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has announced his intention to run for the highest office in the country. The actor cum politician made this known via his social media page on Monday with a flyer and statement.

    He wrote; “Today I declare my interest to run for President of the greatest country in the world, Nigeria. A blessed country that has been crippled by decades of bad leadership. Enough is Enough! Fellow Nigerians, stand with me let us bring the problems of our country to the THE LAST BUS STOP!!!”

    It would be recalled that the actor had run for governorship in Anambra State last year which he lost to the incumbent governor.

    His campaign poster shows that he would be running under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) ticket.

  • YUL EDOCHIE FLOATS FILM ACADEMY

    WITH the aim of inspiring young people to go into movies, Nollywood hunk, Yul Edochie has branched into movie production. This is coming a few weeks after floating his pet project; Yul Edochie Academy.

    Shedding light on his original intention, the father of three and scion of actor, Pete Edocie said; “I love directing and I love teaching. As a director you have the power to teach others and bring them up to the required level. As an actor, you can only play your part and hope the movie comes out well, but as a director you have the power to make the movie come out well.

    “The passion is and will always be my drive. I’m madly in love with my job. Not to worry guys, I am not leaving the screen. I just love to teach others what I know. Making our films come out better and doing what I love doing.”

    He also revealed that that the first movie he directed was 10 years ago, but that he is back into it full time

    “The first film I directed in Nollywood was titled Secret Pain. It was shot in 2006. However, I will be combining both acting and directing and it’s a great feeling. Though it is very stressful, it is also a rewarding experience,” he said.

    The actor also debunked rumours that he was involved in a ghastly car accident in Udi, Enugu.

    “I wasn’t involved in any accident. I’m fine. Facebook scammers are using it to make money. Online media platforms should learn to confirm such stories before publishing,” he added.

    Yul Edochie, son of veteran actor Pete Edochie is thoroughly upset with Steven Ugochukwu whom he claims is sending him nude photos in a bid to lure him into homosexuality.

    Through his twitter account he lashed out at his stalker, Steven Ugochukwu Nelson Onyebuchi, a Nigerian based in Canada.

    “Dis gay psycho won’t stop stalking me all because I won’t send him a pix of my penis. Steven Ugochukwu onyebuchi” tweeted the actor. “Is it by force to be gay? I hav no issues wit anyone being gay, it’s not my bizness but tryin to force someone else.”

    “Dis is d psycho who’s hiding behind different fake female accts to wish me death, insult my fans n my family.” He tweeted further

    He finally revealed a photo of the said psycho with the tweet:

    “I’m appealing to all my fans in Canada, America and all over the world. Help me fish out this psycho”

    Edochie gay stalker

    The actor has reported the stalker to the police and Immigration in Canada. He has also hired private investigators to track him down.

    Just a week ago, Yul denied being involved in the demise of Acctress, Ini Edo’s marriage.
