An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court yesterday ordered that a fashion designer, Saka Alao, be remanded in prison for allegedly pushing a man into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Chief Magistrate A.A. Fashola remanded Alao, 35, after he pleaded guilty the charge of conspiracy, stealing, assault and attempted murder against him.
He reserved judgment till tomorrow.
Prosecuting Sergeant Michael Unah alleged that the defendant committed the act while the complainant, Mr. Aminu Abubakar, was repairing his truck, at Ijaiye Busstop on the Lagos – Abeokuta Expressway on April 28.
He alleged that Abubakar fractured in the incident.
Unah said the defendant also stole the complainant’s phone valued at N11, 000.
