Nwankwo Ekene, a musical act, has said that talent makes successful artists, not education.
Nwankwo made this known at a briefing recently held in Lagos.
“Education is the best legacy, but in this aspect, it may not be necessary because talent makes successful individuals same way gaining education does Everybody cannot be the same,” he said.
The volume of music revealed his christening-Volume of Music is a product of sound, attitude and personality in his craft, adding that these characteristics distinguish him from others.
“I was in the studio on a particular day vybing (sic) with my older brother and the atmosphere was energetic.
“He noticed my sound, attitude and personality in my craft and he gave me the name Volume, since then I lived up to the name and referred to myself as the Volume of Music,” Nwankwo said.
He emphasized passion and ability to spread love as his major driver into music.
“I am into music because I have a strong passion and drive for music and i have people who believe in me and my ability to spread Love, Peace and Happiness through my music”
In addition to his passion for music, Nwankwo pointed at 2face as his major mentor because of his confidence and expression of self with music.
Speaking on his latest track, he said it is a message of love, cooperation and unity.
“Love. That was me referring to a girl, telling her ‘No Fear’ that no matter how it goes I would be there for her.
“It could be relatable to telling a loved one the same thing. It could be your friend,your mum etc .Its a track appreciating love” He said.
