THE National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) in Niger State has set up a task force to inspect the level of compliance of members in meeting the requirements for the re-opening of schools.

The Taskforce, according to the NAPPS President, Femi Alalade, will inspect all schools and any school that does not meet  the requirements would not be allowed to open.

Alalade noted that almost all the private schools had fumigated their premises and classes and the majority have certificates to attest to this.

He said that members were doing a training on health protocols by the NCDC, while a portal has been set up to enable all schools to update what they have and the level of their compliance.

“All schools have been directed to provide infrared thermometers, water and soap for washing, alcohol-based sanitizers and the clearing of the school premises. The need for social distancing has been emphasised. Members have also been told to suspend assemblies for now.”
