He has worked his way to the top from a Refugee camp in Thailand to becoming a renowned dental surgeon in Houston.
Success doesn’t come easy and one has to face toughest challenges to break all barriers and emerge at the top.
Dr Michael Tran’s journey has been full of ups and downs and he has faced major setbacks in life and learnt how to change adversities into opportunities. Attaining glory is possible only with loads of dedication, determination and focus and Michael has proved that hard work and focus towards your goals can take you places.
Today he owns the famous brand ‘Floss Dental’ which started off in Magnolia, TX, where Michael took over a defunct clinic and turned it into a fully operational dental clinic which had it’s diary full of patients appointments. “after completing my dental education and gaining enough experience, I was on the look out for a place to start my dental practice, fortunately I got this place which was not doing well and decided to take over to start my initial practice there,” says Michael. The clinic took off from the word go and had patients lining up to take treatment. Soon he opened a second clinic in Houston which at present is the headquarters of ‘Floss Dental’. Michael has expanded ‘Floss Dental’ to 12 clinics in North Texas and there are further plans to expand it to more locations in Ohio, Georgia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Migrating to the US from a Refugee camp in Thailand, Michael has indeed proved that if one doesn’t loose focus he can go places. His educative years have been beaming with excellence with him acing in his dental career first by completing his dental course from the Howard College of Dentistry and then by undergoing further studies at the Houston Advanced Education in General Dentistry AEGD. To further hone his skills he studied advanced dental surgery with Hiossen and Dr. Lastimado and was even asked to join the faculty to demonstrate live surgery implant courses owing to his excellent command over the subject.
