The Lion King welcomes Cadbury’s new candy

The 1994 Disney classic The Lion King recently ushered in Cadbury’s new candy flavours at a private screening that was held at the FilmHouse cinema, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The animation screening heralded the launch of the candy flavours tagged, Like a Child Again.

With popular social media influencer, Enioluwa aka The Lipglossguy, in attendance, guests showed up in old fashion styles, while others were dressed as movie or superhero characters. The best-dressed guest was rewarded with the sum of N1m.

The high point of the event was the nostalgic feeling evoked during the screening of the 1994 Disney classic The Lion King.

Speaking at the event, MD, Cadbury Nigeria Plc, and Mondelez West Africa, Oyeyimika Adeboye explained the importance of the brand to serve as a bridge between generations.

“Today’s consumers are fun. They are not looking for something boring. Everybody comes to the movies, and so we are showcasing a movie that resonates with all generations, from the older to the child. Our candies are for all generations, too,” she said.
