Three dead as truck crushes car

Three persons, including the driver died, on Thursday when a speeding truck ran into their vehicle headlong along Papa – Ilaro road, Ogun State, crushing them in the process.

Two of their of colleagues were, however, injured in the accident involving unmarked truck and Corolla car with registration number JJJ 91 GD.

It was learnt the driver of the speeding truck lost control following a malfunctioned brake, veered off his lane and crashed into the car coming from the opposite direction.

The Public Relations Officer of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the accident.

He said the two survivors were rushed to Ilaro General Hospital while the deceased have also been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
