Three suspects arrested for kidnapping council chief

Three persons who allegedly kidnapped a local government chair in Oyo State have been arrested by police.

Governor Seyi Makinde made the revelation while addressing police chiefs at the State Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan on Monday.

The police command did not reveal the identities of the suspects.

Makinde commended them for the good job done.

The kidnap of the chairman of Iganna Local Council Development Area Jacob Adeleke was made public on October 26.

He was kidnapped along with his driver along Iseyin-Ado Awaye Road on his way to Ibadan for a scheduled meeting with Governor  Makinde.

The kidnappers demanded N200 million.

The chair and his driver have been released though it is unclear whether any ransom was paid.
