Borno Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum was the special guest of honour at a medal parade organized by Operation Lafiya Dole, a component of the military that is spearheading the fight against Boko Haram.
The medal parade which has in attendance the chief of army staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai and the chairman, senate committee on army, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, was held in Gwoza town, as part of the Nigerian Army’s social activities for 2019.
At the medal parade, military personnel who distinguished themselves in the ongoing fight against Boko Haram were decorated with a medals.
