Members of Auto Spare Part and Machinery Dealers Association Trade Fair-Lagos State (ASPAMDA) have called on the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to dissolve the interim president of ASPAMDA and set up a democratic process that will usher in an elected government in ASPAMDA.

This was stated yesterday in a statement jointly signed by ASPAMDA Unity Movement, AAC Secretary, Charles Ezesele, ATM Secretary, Inenemegwa, Bro James Mmeji, and Hon Ngozi Emechebe issued to The Nation at a press conference held at Lake Resort, Trade Fair.

They said that the interim government had exceeded their mandate from the Lagos Stat Government without any intention or programme for election.

According to them, the continued stay of the interim executive is seriously generating tension in the market that the only way to curtail the youths and other well-meaning traders in the market is to organize elections for them.

”It is now over one year of his appointment as the head of the interim government of ASPMADA, his incompetency and lack of political will is well pronounced that is has become obvious that he cannot organized election for the people of ASPAMDA”.

“ASPAMDA has now turned into a private business center. Traders are subjected to extortion of money in the name of traders are totally neglected. All the interest of the interim leadership is o perpetuate himself to power through his godfather”,  he said.
