Two naval officers, a male and female, were shot dead on Thursday along Lokoja-Okene Expressway in Kogi State.
The incident occurred around 6pm, it was learnt.

Six days earlier, an Army officer, Capt. GSM Abubakar was killed along the same road, while his mother and wife were kidnapped.
The naval personnel were traveling in a Toyota Sienna bus when they were stopped by the gunmen who opened fire, killing them on the spot.
Police Commissioner Ayuba Ede confirmed the incident, saying he had sent his men to the area. “Yes, I heard about it and I have dispatched my men there to bring me the details of how and when it happened,” said the CP.
