THE Imo State Government has announced that the state Governor Hope Uzodinma has tested negative to COVID-19.

The Nation learned that the test the result of which was returned to the governor yesterday, was carried out by the Nigeria Centre for Disease and Control (NCDC).

Since the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, tested positive about a fortnight ago, there had been apprehension in some quarters in the state with some people requesting that the governor declare his status.
