NIGERIAN rap act, Olanrewaju ‘Vector’ Ogunmefun, has suggested that the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria should direct their complaints to the political leaders in their nearby local governments.
Vector said this during a recent radio interview while discussing the ban of open grazing in some states.
The lyricist noted that the association should channel the same energy used in fighting the open grazing ban towards corrupt practices in the country.
“If you can stand and strongly fight against the banning of open grazing, you can as well stand and fight against the corruption that is leading to what is happening to you right now,” said Vector.

“In Lagos, we do not spare our leaders where they are going wrong. It is time for the people up North affected by deeds of the governance up North to rise up and go and demand. Now not rise up against the governance but rise up and then go and demand what they want because at the end of the day it’s democracy.
“Let’s focus on the point, the point here is people were kidnapped, people were murdered, and there is bloodshed, which is where the problem is. However, let’s take it back to what I was saying, (Miyetti Allah) go to your local government and speak, you can grant all the interviews you want and say all the things that you want to see happen but also as a Nigerian that you claim to be, you have the right to demand that the people that are responsible for your governance be held accountable by the office.”
