Wahala Room, a Digital Marketing Agency poised with unabated strategies for the promotion of artistes’ brands and businesses is set to bring innovations to the sector.

Over the years, Wahala Room has helped over twenty-five artistes create visibility for their songs and offerings.

CEO of Wahala Room, Samuel Ogunkoya started out as an artiste with the moniker, Samkul. From learning the ropes as a budding artiste back then, he used unconventional strategies to promote his music. This gave him an edge amongst his contemporaries.

Ogunkoya who left Nigeria at a much younger age has lived the other half of his life in Chicago. Venturing into music wasn’t much of a challenge for him as his father, Kola Ogunkoya, was already a popular Afrobeat artiste, in his early days playing with the late Fela Kuti’s band.
Ogunkoya informed that Wahala Room uses digital marketing strategies to empower artistes in unique ways

“Our digital marketing strategies help artistes to get the visibility they desire for their music and brand. Over the years, artistes have been empowered, they have profited from their love for music”.

On how his dad inspired his musical journey, the younger Ogunkoya said: ”I got into music through my dad, Kola Ogunkoya who is a renowned Afrobeat musician who once played with the legendary Fela Kuti. My father’s experience into music inspired me to develop an interest and passion for music. My dad always told me that if one wants to learn a skill, one should pick it up and learn it. So that was what I did when my interest in music grew. I learned how to record myself and then also connected with Dejeavupondbeat, a popular music producer and sound engineer. At the moment, Wahala Room would have a department for music”, he said.
Asked about the impact Afrobeats is making globally, he stated: “Afrobeats is growing by the day and it’s an exciting time for us all”.
