‘We expect all-inclusive government in Lagos’

The Chairman, Board of Trustees Ndigbo in Lagos State and founder, Igbo Vision in All Progressives Congress, Eze Uche Dimgba has said Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat have the capacity to take Lagos to greater heights.

In a chat with Southwest Report at his Lagos resident  on Wednesday, Sanunning. He should continue with the open door policy which he has started.”

On Igbo support to his administration, Eze Dimgba said: “During the election, the Igbo came out en masse and voted for him and we are still supporting him.”

He advised the governor not to be  discriminatory, promising that the support will continue in 2023.

Noting that Lagos is a cosmopolitan city, he urged the governor to run an all-inclusive government as the Igbo are ready to stand by him.

He urged him to follow the full steps of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who left enviable legacies which his successors followed.

He advised the governor to appoint those who are not indigenous to the state, such as Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba and other ethnic groups residing in Lagos State into his cabinet in order to further move the state forward.

Even in his appointment and decisions, the expectation of the citizens from the All Progressives Congress (APC) is to provide good roads, health care, housing, foods and other necessities of life.

“Igbo are people that believe in excellence. Whatever they want to do, they want to see the results,” Eze Dimgba said.

He described education as the bedrock of a nation. The knowledge industry is what can save the Nigerian citizens. He said President Buhari should try as much as possible to ensure that all Nigerian children receive quality education in order to be useful to themselves.

“Homeless people who have no hope should be helped. Parents should also train their children at home, because school training is different from home training. Government and governance starts from home front.

“Building a nation begins from the home front. A home runs on the pure teachings of holiness and righteousness which help in producing children who have the fear of God. Since the society is the macrocosm of the home or family, we must seek to produce more Godly homes where children must be bred.

The government should plan for the future of the nation what must happen in 20 to 30 years’ time.

Nigeria is a blessed country. All Ndigbo are asking for is level playing ground and a sense of belonging.

Anybody God has chosen to lead the country, nobody can pull him down. The only thing for us to do is to support the person. That is the only way to move Nigeria forward.

We have to build a country that is strong where trust and honesty are part of our principles.

Eze Dimgba advised Nigerians to shun flamboyant lifestyle which leads to reckless life. Time have changed and we need to manage the resources God has blessed us with so as to keep the body and soul together.
