Workers in Bauchi State have appealed to Governor Bala Mohammed to ensure regular implementation of promotions to all deserving officers.

The State Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Danjuma Saleh made the appeal on Saturday during the commemoration of the 2021 international workers day.

Saleh lamented that promotions are not coming as at when due, adding that passing promotions examinations is not a guarantee for one to be promoted in the state.

In his speech, the state governor, Bala Mohammed, represented by Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman said his administration has put in place measures to ensure stabilisation of salaries and pension payment of workers.
